Beckley's 3rd part windshield installers appear to have now damaged the wiper motor and or wiper arms during that process the 1st time we needed them in a light rain situation. The issue is still being accessed by a 3rd party repair shop Progressive recommended & where the body work is being performed. Beckley's apologized but no suggestions to assist.The wiper blades were installed out of sinc, motor 1/2 up position and slammed in to the mirrors damaging/stripping the splines. Passenger wiper arm broke and fell of on the interstate while moving to the 2nd shop for body repairs durring a rain event. The driver's wiper blade arm also loose and possibly stripped spline. By the way the wipers passed the initial wiper check safety inspection at their location days earlier & installed new wipers for close to $100 a pair, so it had to have happened during the later window install by their 3rd party contractors. Not pre-existing as was NOT the damage to the right rear of the rig they insist they did not know how it happened...Appeared another white camper bumper went under the corner when parked or moved next to our rig at some point in time. Unit was there onsite for numerous weeks awaiting delivery of the windshield to pass the supposed safety inspection so we assume it was moved around many times in the process or other pull type campers in & out next to it. Estimated at $6700 and Beckley's offered to waive PART of our out of pocket $1K deductible if we let them fix the damage. Of course we're sure that was padded/built in to the $6700 :) Progressive recommended another professional local shop better suited for RV body repairs as Beckley's utilizes a make-shift tent to do so with little control. Live & Learn...We'll seek legal advise once this is resolved by us & Progressive for reimbursement of our out-of pocket expenses related to this matter. Will most likely cost us more money but at this point a matter of principle and we''ll gladly do so to prove a point. They cannot place a generic waiver blurb on page 4 of a document and not be legally accountable for any on-site damaged that cannot be explained by them...Why do a pre-check-in inspection for damages as they do and then state that they do not look at everything ? This was not minor damage we are talking about at $6700 per Beckley's :) Entire right rear corner with both doors that has to be replaced totally per Beckley's and per Progressive. read more

One afternoon, approximately 2 years ago, my wife and I were extremely fortunate when we first met Justin at Beckley's Camping Center. We were in the Thurmont area and just walking into Beckley's Camping Center when we first started researching travel trailer or toy hauler. We have purchased 2 new Rv's and 1 tow vehicle from Beckley's. We recently traded our travel trailer for a 5th wheel. We have been planning this purchase for several years. After yet another of many visits to Beckleys we decided to just do it. After several hours of exploring we found the perfect RV for our needs and budget. While in the process of working out the details with our salesperson,Tim Fauble informs my wife and I that "we have a problem". It seems that someone else has already put a contract on the unit we wish to buy. Needless to say, this spoiled our day. Tim to the rescue, the unit we were interested in was a new leftover 2019. Tim showed us several other Rv's with similar floorplans and amenities. After choosing a new 2020 Solitude that would have been our first choice anyway if it met our budget, Tim proceeded to work us a deal with our trade that did in fact fit our budget. We could not have been happier with our deal. Except , oh no" another problem", our new RV is too heavy for our truck. No problem, Beckleys delivered it to our annual site in Gettysburg. This gave us time to shop for a new truck. After looking for several months for the right vehicle, we find exactly what we wanted at Beckleys. The 2016 Ram is just what we wanted. We bought our first camper this fall and were very pleased with the staff and service at Beckley's. Our salesperson- Mike- was extremely helpful before and after the sale. They go over everything in the camper in great detail with you and no question is considered too dumb (and we asked a lot). Mike has a sense of humor, and that always makes things nicer. The installation of tow gear went well and when we took it in this fall to get winterized, that also went smoothly. They essentially taught us how to do it so we can do ourselves next year and save the cost. We only had one chance to camp in the trailer this fall and it was great, but the real shake-down cruise will be next summer. The parts/retail department is also nice, professional and knows what they are doing. It is a one-stop operation with lots of experience, so particularly a good place for newbies like us. I called in to see about a cover for the trailer and got a good price (better than Amazon), was promised they would honor the guarantee in-store, and they had it ready for me when I came to buy it. Also loaded the big box into my car. What more do you want? We will have to see how service after the sale goes over the next year or two, but so far, so good, and no complaints, so five stars. Hopefully they will keep up the good work. We like the camper so far, too, but that is not what we are reviewing here- just the sales and service of Beckley's. read more

We purchased our first Winnebago from Beckley's Camping Center in 2014 after looking at several other dealers. We were very impressed with the professionalism before and during the sale. Pat Murphy was extremely knowledgeable and provided excellent guidance both in the purchasing of the rig as well as showing us all of the many systems prior to driving off of the lot. Even more impressive was the service provided by the service department following the sale. After a couple of years and 25,000 miles, we decided to upgrade from a class C to a class A. Based on our prior experience and our desire to continue to have the same excellent service, we of course returned to Pat and Beckley's. Although they didn't have the specific model of RV we wanted on the lot, they were able to obtain one for us, going above and beyond what we expected! Once again, we were thoroughly impressed with the time that Pat took to walk through the vehicle, explain how each system operated, and answer all our questions. The employees at Beckley's go out of their way to make this process easy and convenient. We are thrilled to continue to be in the Beckley's Camping Center "family" and to continue to be able to use their service department for all our routine maintenance and repairs. We recently purchased a travel trailer (Little Guy Max) from Beckley's Camping Center. My wife and I are first time travel trailer people so to say this process was a little intimidating is an understatement. After we indicated to the manufacturer that we were interested in purchasing a Little Guy Max, we were contacted by Greg Habina at Beckley's and have worked with him throughout our purchasing process. Greg has been so helpful explaining everything to us to get my wife and I camping ready. Greg helped us get our car in to have the proper towing package installed. He spent well over two hours doing a walk through inspection and demonstration on how to operate everything safely and properly in the trailer. Moreover, the service team at Beckley's, in double checking the towing compatibility of our Honda Pilot, discovered that the trailer was close to reaching the limit for allowable tongue weight. Greg was not happy with us taking the trailer like this so was able to make some changes to the trailer to put us comfortably below the tongue weight limit. We greatly appreciate Greg's emphasis on safety and an unwillingness to sacrifice our safety just to get us out the door. All in all, purchasing our trailer through Beckley's Camping Center has been a great experience and working with Greg Habina has been a real pleasure. read more

We have purchased two Popup Campers and a Class C RV from Beckley's. We have been very pleased with the variety of the units they stock and the quality of the service they provide. We have always found their employees in all departments to be very courteous and helpful as well as very knowledgeable about the products they sell. When we purchased our RV our sales representative was Tim Hampton. He let us look around and then joined us to answer our questions and demonstrate various features of the RV'S we were interested in. He arranged for us to take a test drive in a Minnie Winnie Winnebago before we left that day. A few weeks later we set down with Tim again and he prepared a factory order for our new Class C Winnebago. He provided the information we needed to select the fabrics, colors, cabinets, and upgrades available in our RV and kept us informed as it went into and progressed through production. When we took delivery of our RV Tim demonstrated how to use every system in the RV so that we knew that it was in working order and that we new how to use it. We recently purchased a new Class A Winnebago motor home form Beckleys. The entire process starting with their website and ultimately taking delivery was a very positive experience. Our salesman was Paul " The Air Force Guy" Chamberlain. Even though we had done a lot of research on RV's before our initial visit we still had lots of questions and concerns as to what was the best RV for us. Paul was very helpful in this process as he possesses a wealth of knowledge and experience in the RV industry. He was able to answer all of our questions, demonstrate the products, take us on a test drive and then let us make our own informed decision without feeling pressured. On delivery day the settlement was quick, easy and very professional. There were no surprises, no doc fees, everything was as we had discussed a week earlier. Paul went over all the features on our Winnebago and demonstrated everything to make sure we were 100% satisfied, then took us on one more test drive to review some driving tips. He even called us after our first camping trip to make sure everything went well and see if we had any questions. Paul is a first class salesman and Beckleys is a great place to buy an RV. We bought a cougar lite 5th wheel.Sherri was the sales person she was great she answer all of the questions we ask.She work with us for about 6 month before we bought it but never pressure us just kept in contact with us.when it came time to pick it up and do the walk threw she took her time and made sure we knew the camping and hooking it up since we never had a 5th wheel before.My wife and I said it was nice having the sale person doing the walk threw (most other places has a setup person doing that.)We had it there once for service (warrant work)the service dept. was clean and neat the people was understanding in what I was saying & helpful the unit was done when they said it would be. The parts dept. is well sock with anything you need.Even now we go to Beckleys to get something or see new floor plans everybody is so nice to deal with .We said we would never buy a camper from any one eles but there even to this day if we are camping and I need to know something about the camper I can call Sherri and she will help me over the phone.The owner Kelly will do anything he can for you he is super.The dealership is well worth checking it out before you buy your camper read more

I Bought my first camping trailer from Beckley's camping center back in 2004 we LOVED LOVED the trailer but seem to out grow it fast our sales person was Mike Boerum top notch sales person friendly and I gave him a question he has a answer. I live in Hyattsville, MD I pass a number of RV dealers when asked why I go to Beckley's it is the BEST!! We went back to Mike Boerum in 2006 and traded in our tag along for a fifth wheel 35' and Mike made is easy to picking out the right on for us after spending all day there we bought it NO HAGGLE price the whole process was smooth as silk Sales, Service, F&I were all on top of there game. My wife and I wanted to LOOK at campers. It was raining when we got to Beckley's. First person we met was Mr. Ed We told him we were looking for a used Bunkhouse. He showed us 3. My wife loved the 5th wheel. Went to Ed's Office, He told us the price, then we talked. Went to his Manager. They were going to do all they could to put us in this camper. We were on a tight schedule. This is Tuesday Dec. 6th. We are leaving on Sunday Dec. 11th for our winter home in Florida. ALSO we have NO WAY to pull it. We wanted it DELIVERED to our campsite in WV. So. They arranged everything. We went to close on our lot on Wed. Dec. 7th. Beckley's cleaned @ prepped our unit. We came there Thur. Dec. 8th. Signed everything. Walked thru Dec. 9th. My husband and I worked closely with Paul Chamberlain, Jr. and Mike Boerum and they were some of the best we have encountered in the industry. Mr. Chamberlain made sure that we understood all aspects of the purchasing process, provided a huge manual to guide us through using our RV for the first time, and took the time to follow-up with us, several times, to let us know that he is available if we needed anything. As a first time buyer of a camping trailer (I bought a SylvanSports Go) I was thrilled with the level of service I received at Beckley's. I worked mostly with Tim H. but EVERYONE on their team was extremely helpful. Tim answered a ton of questions for me and was very responsive via email and over the phone. Everything about the process was great! Tim even stayed late and waited for me to come up from DC on Friday evening! I would highly recommend Beckley's. From the sales reps, to the guys in the parts shop, to the finance people, this place has an old school "we take care of a our customers" feel that you just don't see anymore. When I got my trailer I had just missed a promotion offered by the manufacture. A week or so after I bought my trailer I got an email from Tim that he had contacted the manufacture and that they were sending me the trailer cover that was part of the promotion! We bought our Class A Winnebago while snowbirding in Florida. On our way home we began to develop major electrical problems involving signals, tail lights, supplemental braking system, etc. We could not drive it safely. It spent from June until today in 2 different Ford dealerships, and then waited on Beckley's lot for "Bill, the electrics guy" to work on it. Our service manager, Billy Peppard kept us posted and on the date he promised Bill looked at it and found the problem with a back end grounding wire. That was yesterday, picked it up today. Repair price was reasonable, Bill patiently went under the RV with my husband to explain the problem, Billy Peppard was professional, smiling, and very friendly. The service staff were also very friendly, each taking a moment to attempt to pet/ play with my finicky little dog. Beckley's saved the day for us, and we thank them for their patience in dealing with us, some extremely frustrated RV owners. It was well worth the wait! read more

We visited the MD RV show inquiring about travel trailers. We spoke with several different dealers that day. When we got to Beckleys there was complete honesty. We actually dealt with the owner & a fantastic salesperson (Pat Murphy), whom both explained that our vehicle really wasn't equipped to pull what we were looking at....what dealer does that??? They were actually more concerned about our vehicle & not doing damage than selling an RV...again what dealer does that?? Several other dealers just dismissed us telling us we'd be ok only looking to sell a vehicle. BOTTOM line they found us (and ordered) something close to what we were looking for that our vehicle could tow safely. Upon taking delivery the service & sales team were great to deal with, explaining everything we ever needed to know about our new trailer. My experience at Beckley's was spectacular. I didn't know what I wanted to get, and my tastes ranged the full gamut of possibilities. My sales rep, Ed, was very patient and taught me about the various units. When I narrowed down what I was going to buy, he gave me more education on each so I could make an informed decision. When I went to pick up my trailer, he gave me a complete walk through, and since I had never pulled a trailer, he took me out for a test drive. He explained EVERYTHING to me in detail, which is the type of person I am, I want to be told everything and get hand-on experience. When I went to take my first trip, I had a question. I sent Ed a picture of something I had done, and he immediately was on the phone with me to assist. Also, the finance folks were efficient and polite and the store personnel were helpful. We made our first purchase in 2011 on a camper, we were new to the world of campers and we are so glad that our first experience was with Beckleys! Ed was our salesman. He was great. Honest and completely answered all our questions. We purchased a fifth wheel as our first RV. Ed took us out for a drive easing the nerves. The store personnel were also so very helpful. It was priced in line with many other RV sales centers. My wife shopped prices online as we shopped there. We left with everything we needed to camp that night. All at a very affordable price. The financing was painless and flawless. We spent less than 20 minutes in there. After all was said and done Ed walked us to our unit to make sure we were completely satisfied and comfortable and HAPPY with our purchase. WE ARE.!!!!
