Not the heydays that it used to be I still remember the the BB&B boon at the store over 10 years ago. It was my go to place for all of my kitchen, bathroom and closet essentials. Now it looks like it's struggling to keep up with Target, Walmart and other online retailers. I found several items in the store that were are confusingly discounted, but yet still marked up or $40 more than I can get at other local stores or locations. Even with the in store coupons you won't save you wont save much over the other places either. I just think with the advent of Amazon and everybody else speeding up with the economy this place has been slow to recover or has stalled out and is on a downward trend sadly. **Overall, it's sad to see stores like this go. But like I said in the beginning I remember when the store was slammed full of stuff it was always awesome to go in always awesome to buy stuff and look around but nowadays you can find better prices elsewhere and you're better off just window shopping here. read more

Great place for most everything things for your home. As I walked in, I had an $50.00 gift card from my last shopping experience at the Orange Park location. This is my first time in this location. A lady handed me a coupling for "spend $80.00, get $20.00 off"! So there is $70.00 in savings right away. I looked at coffee machines and was disappointed to see they don't carry "Bunn" coffee makers. So, I bought an assortment of small items, a nice white towel, coffee cup warmer, a spatula, thank you notes, a pot scrubber, and more. I also bought a deviled egg carrier. Ernie dropped and broke my Home Goods 18 egg glass dish with the eggs yesterday(sigh). So, I purchased a plastic one this time. I enjoyed taking my time and looking at all of the merchandise. I really like this type of store. I did not know that they have a Cosmetics, OTC MEDS, etc! So, I did bought a bottle of aspirins as well. Coupon in hand we ventured to find a shower mat with a hole for the drain as our new rental house has a very slippery shower enclosure. I wanted something machine washable but apparently they either don't exist or it is not carried in the store or online. I know there are little teak ones that can be fitted together but they get black mold rather quickly and are almost impossible to clean. So since I am not of an age where stick on duck bunnies are appropriate, my search will continue... The store is compact with such a wide range of beauty and suntan products that for a moment I thought we were in Walgreen's. I've never seen anything like this display even at a drugstore! Nice selection of linens and housewares too. I moved here from Memphis but have always loved coastal theme linens. Now that I'm living near the ocean again after 6 years in the mid south I'll be weaving them in when we buy a home of our own. read more

The only time I come to BB&B are close to the holidays and maybe once or twice during the year. Amazing Home, Bed, Kitchen, and other items. I can spend hours looking at this place for things and not really get tired. I like to touch everything and scan the items and see the difference in price if I were to order online. On this particular day, I was shopping for the circular pie/cheesecake pans. I needed to buy some so that I can make cheesecake on Thanksgiving. I grabbed the last 2 that were on the shelf and walked over to check out and had my coupons ready. A little hint, you can use as many of those 20% off coupons (the mail coupons only) for each time in one transaction even if those coupons are expired. I have stacks of those coupons at home and always have about 5 to 10 handy in my car just in case. I had so many that I gave one to the customer behind me and he was happy to save some money. As I am checking out, the associate notice that both pans did not come with the barcode. She walked to the customer service desk and they searched for the barcode. She came back, typed it in and the system could not find it. So she went back again and got a 2nd code and told me that it checked out fine over there. When she came back, she typed in the 2nd code and still could not read it. She was confused because they just checked it at the desk. Another associate or manager was around and punched in the code. Still....no luck. So the manager walks back to the customer service desk and got another code and came back. She punched it in and it finally worked. So it took 3 tries to get the correct barcode for these 2 pans. Luckily there wasn't a line. After standing and waiting for about 10-15 minutes playing Match that Code, paid the items, and walked out my merry way. read more

I would shop elsewhere for electronics. I bought a Shark vac mop & it had problem's immediately. I really should have returned it sooner than later but it was my first time owning one & I figured the problems would resolve. The Shark could not find its docking station, it bumped into walls & furniture, & the battery was bad. I didn't realize you only have 3 months to take back electronics. I was literally only over 3 months by a few days when I went to return mine & before the manager even offered to assist us, she asked when we purchased the item & sent us on our way. Said there was nothing she could do & to contact shark. I did & I got mine replaced & upgraded to a newer model. The one being sold full price at Bed Bath and Beyond is so old that you can't even get a replacement for that model by the manufacturer! It's that old that you get an automatic upgrade. That tells me that the one I had before was most likely broken from the start & returned by someone else! The newer model I have now is great! No issues at all. I suggest buying your items with a reputable company that doesn't sell garbage. read more

Got a stainless steel garbage can that was the wrong size. I returned it for a smaller version with a different design. The exchange was very easy and quick and the clerk was extremely courteous. Can is excellent quality. BBB has a great selection of stainless steel garbage cans and custom bags. Service is great. read more

It's been a while since I've been in one of these places and I'm surprised by how it's changed in that it's much closer to a Target now with personal care items and other standard items that you'd normally see elsewhere. On one hand I like that they do this as it's one extra way to get what you need without needing to go elsewhere. Prices are a bit higher I thought on those items, but that 20% off coupon evens things out nicely. As far as the other portion of the store, it's what it's always been. Placed online order for pick up as today you could get 20% off if you did curbside. I came 5 minutes before the two hour mark. Sat at curbside after following up via email that I was here and ready to present ID and bar code for order pick up. Waited for 15 minutes, then called to say I was here. A lady walks out asking if I have an online order in an irritated manner (because I had been sitting in a parking spot next to the curbside pick up- since they were continuously filled). I told her yes, she walks out 10 minutes later asking to confirm location since she did not see it. It's now been 30 minutes sitting in the car waiting for an order and the lady has not come back since. I ended up going inside to pick up the order since picking out ONE ITEM OFF THE SHELF WAS TOO DIFFICULT. When I finally got it she handed it to me with no bag. I get the 20% off Bed Bath & Beyond coupons so frequently in the mail and in the Sunday newspaper that they remind me so much of the AOL discs that we used to get back in the 90's. The only difference is that these coupons make horrible drink coasters and get zero airtime when used as Frisbees. The result of this marketing onslaught reminded me that I needed to get a handle for a Tervis tumbler that I received on Christmas. Knowing that Triple B has an excellent assortment of these tumblers and accessories, I left for the southside location armed with my discount coupon. While the section I was looking for was in a prominent display in the front of the store, I wanted to peruse the rest of the store. Moving clockwise around the store, I was surprised to see that a majority of the store is now dedicated to a 'Harmon Face Values' section that is dedicated to beauty supplies, medicine, toiletries and other products you'd normally find at a CVS or Walgreens, not at Bed Bath & Beyond! It was refreshing to know that at this location, if I bought a new blue toothbrush I could walk a few steps away and get some towels, shower curtains, toilet seat covers and an entire bathroom set that would match it perfectly, let alone get 20% off for it! I was also surprised that at almost every department I was greeted by a friendly associate who was willing to assist me in finding something. I declined because it's easy find things when the whole store is a giant square. I ended up leaving the store with just the tumbler handle I went in to get, but was pleased with my overall experience. Driving down on southside I saw the Academy Sports location where the Triple B copycat store Linens N Things used to be. I wondered why they went out of Business while Bed Bath & Beyond still stood strong. Then it hit me. It was so obvious. It's because of the coupons. read more

The items here are okay but, there are so many other options like At Home, Amazon, Walmart, or Target. I was absolutely floored with the amazing service I received here this past weekend. First I would like to note that this store is super DOG FRIENDLY! Sherlock did get a bit bored but he was still able to hang out and get tons of attention. I needed to signup for their wedding registry which was the best experience I could have asked for. I thought I was going to get a scanner and walk around. No, I have my own personal associate, Kathy, to walk me around and educate me on the best products and compare options. She was so understanding of me only having a limited time to venture around. We stuck just to the kitchen items for my registry to start. I had a blast walking around and realizing all the awesome new things I wanted for the soon-to-be Cowley home. I cannot wait to come back and finish selecting my items. Love my BB&B. Can't really cal this one 'mine' as we live close to 30 minutes away and we pass a Target, another BB&B, and other home goods stores on our way, but it's worth it (to me). The selection & service is so much better at this store. They have everything you need (and maybe don't need). They carry all the brands that you could possibly want for your home. They even carry a lot of the 'as seen on (late night) TV' goodies that everyone wants to order after watching too many informercials. Mildred, the Drapery Department Manager at the Bed Bath and Beyond Store located at Southside Avenue, in Jacksonville, Florida was nice to my 100 year old mother yesterday when mom was there looking for a pillow. Mildred explained how the pillows were constructed to give you a good night's sleep. Mildred walked to the back of the store and bought some pillow cases up front for my mom to see. Mom didn't like the colors of pillowcases Mildred bought up so she took her walker and went to look for pillow cases herself! While we were back there, Mildred came to check on us. She pointed out some good deals on pillow protectors. I especially appreciated Mildred for talking in loud enough tone for my mom to hear but not being condescending. I'd go back anytime, just to see Mildred. read more

The store is cluttered. The products are over priced- check for yourself on amazon, Walmart or Target & you don't have to use a coupon. The wife and I registered at Bed Bath & Beyond for our wedding- we just went crazy in every department, and as a result- our home is now fully stocked with everything from kitchen utensils, to soft fluffy pillows, to comfortable towels, even a nice knife set. BB&B literally has everything you need to stock your home (minus furniture). The kitchen department is fully stocked with appliances, gadgets, and must-haves for your own kitchen. Huge bathroom selection with gadgets, towels, toothbrush holders, etc. Great selection of bedsheets, comforters, and pillows in the home area. It can be a bit overwhelming walking in here, but there's no way you can walk in and not find something you'll want for your own home / apartment. I like the fact that you can find something for everyone, and they always have options for different price ranges- you can find a coffee maker for 10 bucks, or go the gourmet route and find one for 500. Buy yourself a cheap 25 dollar vacuum, or a 800 dollar Dyson. This location offered plenty of parking, was clean, well-stocked, and I was approached by no less than 5 employees asking if I needed help finding anything. Great customer service here. Went in looking for a particular item which did not appear to be in stock. A very friendly Helen approached and asked if we needed help. My usual response is no, but for some reason I said yes and asked about the item. She said she would check and came back with a handout, saying they didn't have it in stock but could order it through the store with free shipping. Well, I can do that from home...but she added, if you do it at home you have to pay shipping since it's below the free shipping threshold! So I let her order it for us--she even used our coupon. So glad I agreed to let her help us. She was very friendly and kept pointing out ways she could help us, and indeed made the transaction painless. read more

The people on the floor are so friendly and helpful. However, the people at the register are rude and have negative attitudes. Spent $500.00 and she (Camellia) treated me like garbage.
