After multiple unfortunate incidents involving my Mazda CX-5, caused by third parties, they have proven time and again that they are the absolute best in the business. If you're looking for experienced, talented, and above all, trustworthy professionals, stop searching now. My first experience was when a Mazda dealer recommended them after a reckless driver hit my parked, accident-free CX-5. I was extremely anxious, but BeeZee owner was wonderfully kind and assured me the car would be restored so perfectly that no one would ever know the damage occurred. They delivered on that promise completely; the car was back in pristine condition! Unfortunately, I had two more incidents: a hit-and-run on my driver's door and then significant roof and sunroof damage from a faulty garage door sensor. These were complex repairs, but the Beezee team handled them seamlessly. The owner once again assured me of a perfect outcome, and true to their word, I picked up my car on time and it genuinely looked brand new again. This is a stark contrast to bad experiences I've had at other shops in Miami, FL (work so poor it made me sell the car). Beezee is the complete opposite. Used to be great. The manager, Al, doesn't care anymore. I've had work done there with several different cars, and had no complaints. This time I had a $3000 hit and run insurance covered accident. The car is six years old and has dings and scratches. I told him to fix the dings up and I said I would pay separately. I asked him to call and let me know the estimate. He didn't call, so two days later I called again. He assured me he would look. When I came to pick up the car, the dings and scratches were still there. Since I had said I would pay separately, I thought it would be done. Al said the car was fine and didn't need any work. He also refused to carry the seats back to the car from the rental. He said it was against the law! The people from Enterprise had switched the car seats when I got there. The insurance appraiser said they do horrible work. Agreed! read more

I took my car there on the advice of a friend to get a close encounter with some new metal poles in my ally fixed (thanks neighbors!). They gave me an estimate, and stuck to it. The work was beautiful and they worked over the July 4 holiday to get it done in a week (who does that?). The color matching was spot on, too. Then, I noticed a ding in the back door when I got home that I was pretty sure wasn't there before. I brought it back and while none of us could say that it had been there or happened at the shop, they agreed to fix it kindly. They didn't fight me at all... just said they wanted me to be happy. Part of my horrible-miserable-really-bad-week, this past week, caused me the need to seek out an auto-body shop. So, I called Bee-Zee Auto Body Shop at 3205 W. Howard Street, Skokie, IL 60076 at 847.673.2400. They're located on Howard street, just east of McCormick just east of the canal. I called Bee-Zee, because they'd done some work on my daughter's car and had done a nice job. They were able to take my car the same day... so I had my daughter drive me in. I had been hit in the driver's side rear door, by a $%*#&@@ who was backing out of a parking space, without looking behind her... (which is where I was stopped and in "Park" as I was letting my mother out of the car). Nobody was hurt, it was strictly sheet metal damage, the offending driver was insured... the world continues to turn. So I walked into the offices of Bee-Zee. One of the owners, Al, was on the phone, and taking care of a customer ahead of me. You could tell he was frazzled, it was 93° outside, and not much cooler inside... and he was alone in the office. As I stood there, he finished with the client, and took at least two additional phone calls, each time apologizing for the delay. Finally, when he greeted me, I told him my "all too familiar" tale of woe, and we walked out to my car so he could assess the damage. When I pointed to the damage he said "What... this!?" he asked incredulously. Now, granted, it didn't look like a great deal of damage. It had been a serious dent when the woman first parked her trunk in my car door, but since then it appears to have "popped back into position"... leaving only the residue of her white paint, and a bunch of scratches. Al made that "really-you're-bothering-us-with-THIS?" face, and instructed me to pull the car around and into one of his auto-bays. He then had a gentlemen come around with an industrial sized buffer with a lambskin cover, and some kind of polish. He spent about 5 minutes carefully polishing the door, and honestly, when he was done... it looked like it had just come out of a new-car-showroom. 5-minutes, totally repaired, good as new... scratch/dent free. And then the incredulous part. He wouldn't let me pay him. He suggested I come back when I had some "serious auto body work", and then, they'd be happy to charge me. I forced a $20.00 bill into his hand, and asked him to enjoy a nice meal, on me. He reluctantly took it and told me that he'd give it to the fella who polished the door... I said he could use it as he saw fit. I'm among the first to complain, when someone does a poor job, so I felt I should be the first to give kudos to a job well done, and felt my blog was the perfect place to showcase Bee-Zee, and Al and his partner Yossi. In today's world of half-assed service stations, and body shops... I thought it appropriate to showcase someone who does a great job. Now before you ask, the answer is "No... I do not have any friends or relatives that either work for, nor own Bee-Zee. I have no financial gain, by reviewing Bee-Zee. if you're looking for a quality body shop... They charged me 300 to essentially change two fuses. The communication was aggressive and derogatory. When I took back they said they had to do test to see why low antifreeze. I took to another shop. They replaced blower motor saw broken fluid clamp. Replaced fuse. Total less than 200. I do not recommend this place to anyone. read more

I was quoted $800 for this job at another location and Bee Zee took on the job for less than half the price and did an absolutely amazing job! I have been going to Bee Zee since I was 18 with my first car. My parents started going to them cause they were within walking distance to our home and affordable. Alex and Yosi have always been fair and reliable. When I was in college I believe Yosi took pity on me. Talk about a great guy. In 2013 was in a car accident and they handled my car body repair with expedience and cost. Also, it is great there is a Enterprise Rental car on site, too. In 2014, I needed parts to pass an emissions test and they got the job done w/o a ton of expense. I have had three cars in my lifetime and BEE ZEE has handled most work after the warranties ran out. I had one whole side and rear hatch on my Highlander fixed here. I paid myself- no insurance claim- with a credit card, no problem. Repair cost almost exactly HALF what the big insurance claim shops quoted. Work seems perfect, including some subtle stuff around the rear hatch handle. Color blending seems perfect too on my 2004 car. They also detailed the car inside and out. Work was done promptly with no fuss. I'm not sure what problems other reviewers had, for me my 136,000 mile SUV looks like new. read more

I wish I could rate 10 stars, and I agree that the bad review must be about a different shop. I experienced a level of service here that I have not seen before. The office is spotlessly clean, and everyone I spoke to was polite and efficient. Bee-Zee's quote was 55% lower than the other quotes I received for the work my car needed. I was told the work would take 2 full days, and I received a call 2 hours into the second day that my car was ready. Not only did they do a BEAUTIFUL job on my repair, they also fixed a separate ding that was never discussed. This is the second time someone has damaged my vehicle since 2008 while it was parked and I took it to Bee Zee both times. Yossi and Alex run the operation. Somehow, they priced the driver's side mirror replacement significantly less than the original insurance appraisal. The other important factor is that a rental car agency is within 25 feet of Bee Zee. It has reasonable rates and decent vehicles. Bee Zee's location, ownership, efficacy, fair pricing, and other factors make for a totally convenient and comfortable experience. read more

I contacted Bee Zee Body Shop in error, and they probably recognized that from the beginning, as they share a name with another business down the street, where we have done business many times with satisfaction. However, they proceeded to respond as if they were the business with whom I intended to speak. I had confirmed a $100 estimate from Bee Zee Auto on Howard in Evanston, and two other towing services, including AAA, at the estimate of $100 from Highland Park to Evanston. Knowing they had not done the brake drop I referenced earlier in the conversation, they took the tow request. I explained it was a 2003 Honda Acord, a compact car. They "said" they sent the flatbed tow truck as they didn't know what kind of a car it was and charged me $400 for the tow. My service mechanic of Bee Zee Auto on Howard in Evanston alerted me they never received the vehicle and said perhaps I had inadvertently given the address to the Skokie business. I told Bee Zee Body Shop in Skokie not to do anything to the car as a terrible mistake had happened, and the car should never have been towed toBee Zee Body Shop. Did they need business this badly to act so deceptively? BBB has accepted my case, and I am here to tell you, "Buyer Beware of Bee Zee Body Shop" on Howard in Skokie. read more

I came in to get breaks, based on a friends recommendation, and I was stunned. Not only were they less expensive then the place I normally go (I have a friend that works at Just Tires and he gives me a discount), but i needed new rotors as well. They INCLUDED the rotors for all 4 wheels without going over the quoted price. Even my friend at Just Tires cannot swing that. I was very impressed with how honest they were, how quickly the work was done (about an hour and a half, again, faster then Just Tires), and that they included additional work in with the quoted price. I had some simple body work completed at Bee Zee. No parts were needed, but the same repair would have cost me over $2800 in Highland Park. Listen, this is not a fancy place. But the bottom line was very important for me as I paid for the repair out of pocket. They were friendly, fast (only 2 days to complete the job), and the car looks great. Well after having no need for auto body work in 18 years, I found a need for a second time in three months. So I went back to Bee Zee a second time this year. My second experience was as good as the first. Al and his team were great. The fee was reasonable, the work was done well, the color match couldn't have been done any better if god himself had done it, and they got done a day earlier than promised. These fellows are wonderful, honest, and they did an amazing job with my car. They saved me twice, the first time with my insurance paying and they got the price low enough to save me from my insurance company totaling my car. A way better quote than I'd previously gotten. Of course I returned to them - the second time another driver's insurance was paying. Now my old car looks brand new!!! They did way more than they had to and it was all high quality work. I didn't even ask them to fix all the little extra paint dings they fixed!! I'd also asked them to do me an extra little favor, and check a bulb that was out and disconnect the battery and reconnect it for me, and they were so kind to do that without an extra charge. In this high mark-up industry, these guys are about integrity. You really can trust them because they care. And they're quality.
