I had a good sized ding in my right rear bumper that looked like a hit and run parking lot incident. I was sent to Sigler by a recommendation from a friend. Eron looked at it, and gave a price that was about what I expected. I asked him about another finish defect in an unrelated part of the bumper (a spider crack in the clear coat) and decided not to pay for the additional work. They had it longer than I was expecting, but it was because they were waiting for genuine manufacturer parts, which they had to fight the insurance company for, since insurance typically wants after market parts to save money. When I picked it up, it was like the ding never happened. Not only that, they fixed the other issue as well for no extra cost. These guys are the real deal! read more

So my run in with Sigler's is due to them being a part of the umbrella of approved body shops for State Farm. The folks got into a fender bender in the snow, so I took care of the leg work of getting the work done via insurance and the back and forth. Once I was told via State Farm that Sigler's was a local body shop which was approved, I started doing some homework on local reviews. I've seen advertisements that they do through the local Jewel's. On the backs of grocery store receipts one can often find a discount for service done at Sigler's. I put in a call to Sigler's and stopped by with the car. A 2002 Honda Civic had front body damage from the bumper to the hood. It was clear that the hood would have to be changed, some actual body work of the frame, quarter panel and some painting. It was almost closing time but Oren said just stop by and he'd have a look. He quoted me a few days to perform the work and he would handle communication with State Farm. Via Oren (Owner) he managed to get a rental for my folks to use while the car was in the shop. Within the time specified plus one day, they got the car back. Almost as good as new, I liked that the car smelled like "fresh car" almost like a minty fresh. I think he said they do a routine cleaning of the car before returning it. I've done some insurance work with cars as of late. This experience was easy. No bullshit or hassle over the original estimate or any of that. Clean cut from the start to finish. read more

This shop is kind of tucked away just west and south of the Kedzie and Howard intersection. But it's worth it to find them. Rich & Co. did a fantastic job on my 2002 PT Cruiser when it needed some body work. He estimated and repaired the damage quickly and thoroughly, and detailed my car afterward like it was a brand-new luxury model. He even buffed out my foggy headlamps and replaced a cracked back-up light lens in the bumper. It hasn't looked this good in years. I really appreciated Rich and Sigler's going the extra mile, and Rich was very easy and pleasant to work with. You can tell him and the staff there really care about your car and the work they do. They are straightforward, ethical and have integrity - qualities hard to come by in AutoBody repair. They also do excellent work. I am very happy with my car repairs and the customer service. The workers there have been around for years, which reflects how well the owner treats his workers and the quality of their work. FYI Subaru dealership actually recommended Sigler's to me, as the Evanston location does not do AutoBody work. After my 2005 SUV was rear-ended and needed repair, I was referred by a friend to Sigler's. My experience with them was mixed. Overall their customer service is good. Slow (more on that later), but good. When I brought my car in for an estimate, one of their guys spent a good ten minutes just looking at the underside of the soon to be replaced bumper. The entire process took about half an hour before I was on my way. Lucky for me the other driver's insurance gave quick payment, and I was able to drop my vehicle off within 2 weeks of the accident, check in hand. I turned the keys over on a Tuesday and was told that worse case scenario all repairs should be made by the upcoming Monday, at the latest. On Friday morning, I was told that the car should be ready after 3pm. I told them I would pick it up after 5 pm. I arrived at the shop around 5:15pm. Unfortunately the car was not ready to be picked up, as they were doing final clean-up work on it. I did not recieve my car until 6:25pm, 25 minutes after closing. To their credit, every employee that walked out the door while I was waiting, asked if I was being taken care of, and asked if there was anything that could be done while I was waiting. Unfortunately they couldn't, but at least they took the time to stop and ask, something most workers wouldn't do on closing time on a Friday afternoon. Upon final inspection I did a walk around, got down and my hands and knees. The initial exterior appearance was great. Except for some unnoticeable scratches on the trailor hitch, the plastic bumper work and paint job looked like new. It was only when I got home that I noticed that I started to nit-pick. For starters, the bumper and associated parts that were replaced do not seem as sturdy as the original factory bumpers. While not noticeable from the outside of the vehicle, when the rear hatch is open, a closer look reveals rough, unfinished cuts. While this does not interfere with the form or function of the vehicle, to me it looks sloppy, and I wonder if they forgot a piece or two. Another thing they overlooked was that someone who was inside the vehicle left paintmarks on the steering wheel and drivers side door handle. I didn't noticed these until I was back in my garage. Although I removed this myself with elbow grease and solvent cleaner, I don't think a vehicle coming back from the shop should require more work on my part than I brought it in for. Overall, when all factors are calculated I give this place 3 stars. I would've given it two, but their customer service, at least the front end, saved the experience. The service is great, but I think the repair quality could be better, as should their final inspection. Would I take an older car here for repair? Yes. Would I take one that's relatively new, say a year or two old? No. I told my friend that referred me about my experience and she said she would take my experience into consideration before she would referr anyone else back there. read more

These guys are great! Every single one of them. I had had a previous side swipe about a month prior (someone hit me) and took it to a different shop. This other shop did the BARE MINIMUM as paid for by insurance. Simple things that would have taken them 5 minutes to buff out, they left as is. After getting side swiped again (different person, same location on my car), I took it to Siglers upon the request of the woman that hit me. When I went to pick up my car, Rich said he "fixed my bumper, because he couldn't leave it like that when it was such an easy fix". This is exactly what good customer service is about. Hopefully I never get hit again, but if I do (and hopefully its the other side) I will definitely take it here and definitely recommend to friends. read more

Horrible service, horrible manager. If you take your car there and they say "lifetime warranty", it's b.s. They will try to find their ways out of it by blaming on you or someone else and that they are not liable for it. They are great to deal with when you give them business but when they have to fix something that it's their mistake or part of their warranty, it's "let's place the blame on someone else" time. Totally unprofessional and would never do business with them again. P.S. Don't trust Sigler's and their lifetime warranty crap. read more
