For anyone that ever needed a fair look at their car. No BS. After getting put through the ringer at Lincolnwood Toyota being sold this and that and being lied to for 4 hours while they "fixed" my car, I needed to weigh my options. Was told by Jersey that the labor the dealer was going to charge me $150+ for would be "minimal" and would cost $15 tops. Turned out the part that I "needed" was 75% LESS from Jersey. They ordered it that day and upon looking at the issue told me it was a quick fix. So quick, in fact, that not only did I not actually need the part (which I was 100% committed to buying from them) they weren't even going to charge me for the labor. A couple clips and tests later I got a call, grabbed my keys, and I just... left. Took my $550 dealership fiasco and completely erased it - didn't even make me pay restocking fees, shipping: NOTHING. 2020 left me thinking there weren't any honest, hardworking people around anymore, but if you go to Jersey Auto you'll find that there are a few left. read more

I can't speak highly enough about my experience with these guys so far. We had our catalytic converter stolen off the car and Jersey was in Allstate's network of shops to work with for our claim. Based off their proximity and reviews we went with them out of about six other places recommended. Their reps have been more than straightforward, upfront and professional about our ordeal with the car. I'd have to say they did a better job explaining our policy coverages than our own insurance agent had. Since I picked Jersey because of their great reviews, it's only fitting that I give a great review too. A few weeks ago, I was driving through an intersection (yes, the light was green) when another driver drove through a red and t-boned my rear passenger door. Her insurance accepted liability and told me to pick a shop of my choice, so I googled the best Chicago auto repair shops and found Jersey. I called them on a Thursday morning and was all set to drop my car off on Monday morning--no paperwork or work on my end. I dropped my car off with Chris on Monday morning, and he went out of his way to make sure I got my rental car right on schedule, even though Allstate was being unresponsive. My car was repaired a day ahead of schedule and looks absolutely amazing!!! Seriously, it looks like a brand new car, and the inside is all vacuumed and clean too. I really respect the Jersey guys for their professionalism and eagerness to help their customers. Hopefully I won't have any auto accidents in the future, but if I do, I'm absolutely coming back here. read more

I am a fan, but.... Ok, I will write why I am a fan because it's best to do the positive first. Jersey does do great autobody work. A few weeks ago I had the lovely experience of having my NEW car sideswiped! Geez, my car was 3 months old and already hurt on the dangerous streets of Chicago. It was an unpleasant event, to say the least. I checked with my car dealer to see who they recommended and it was Jersey Automotive. I did go one other place for an evaluation, but chose Jersey because Z Frank used them all of the time and I felt the place looked very clean and professional. Again, the damaged parts to my car were fixed and look fabulous. Now for the part that I am a bit peeved about: I had a few nicks on the back bumper from bad parkers and the Jersey folks said they'd touch the spots up for me. Did not happen. I have to go back to get this done and I am a busy person who uses her car constantly and this is majorly inconvenient. I am self-employed, so I don't get days off... The second item really hissed me off - my interior had dirt marks and some tarry substance on the gear shift and the back seat had light spots on it. WTH???? I tried cleaning these areas myself and made one part worse. I finally got it all taken care of on my own, but this should never have happened to begin with - aren't the interior parts all covered during body work and repairs??? So, if you need expert body work done on your vehicle, I recommend Jersey, just make sure you're clear about interior protection. read more

Didn't WANT to use them... actually I try to avoid auto work at all costs -- that's why I lease a new car every few years. Unfortunately, the taxi that rammed me a few weeks ago had another plan. This guy hit me so hard -- the auto shop found the his front license plate and BRACKET lodged in my carriage when they took my car apart. My insurance sent me to Jersey, the owner called me a few hours after inspection to give me a time-frame, and even emailed me pics just minutes after I requested them. He called me today -- one day before the estimated finish date -- and I just picked my baby up. The Enterprise rental coordination was more frustrating than the auto shop. Jersey made this too easy. I don't ever want to have to use them again -- but, if another taxi comes barreling out of nowhere -- I'll go back. read more

These guys are awesome! Honest, professional, and genuinely nice. A guy at Norm's Auto (also great folks) told me to stop by here for a quick fix for my bumper. I scraped it against a wooden fence while backing out, and the piece that attached the corner of the bumper to the body broke off. So the bumper was sticking out a little. It's not a huge deal, and it's definitely not worth replacing the entire bumper. The people at Jersey said they could try screwing the bumper in, but said it was a temp fix and could break back off at any time (like if I drive over a bump too fast). Well, it beats buying a whole new bumper! Right there, in a matter of minutes and for FREE, they fixed it for me. When I have a problem that needs body work, I will definitely return there! read more

I had such a good experience at Jersey Automotive that I specifically signed onto Yelp to write a good review for them. I have Geico insurance but my car was hit by a couple who have State Farm, which uses Jersey for repairs. I could have used any garage but decided to go with Jersey based on prior positive Yelp posts. Though Jersey (Bryn Mawr/Kedzie) was inconvenient for me (Wicker Park), I'm extremely glad I went with them. Chris was efficient, workmanlike and professional in assessing the damage, so much so that I asked for a quote on an unrelated dent I had never fixed and for a new wheel to replace one creased by an industrial-strength Chicago pothole. The quote to fix the dent seemed reasonable but I had no way of knowing if it was a good price or not. What I did know was that Jersey quoted the new wheel about $200 less than at Geico's authorized repair shop ($265 vs. $450 for a Z-3 wheel). Jersey fixed the damage from the recent accident, my earlier dent, and replaced the wheel faster than promised for just the original damage alone. I can't say enough about what a positive experience resulted from someone backing into my car. Side note, on the slightly unbelievable side: This whole episode came about when I was parked on the street at Fullerton & Halsted. A young couple in a SUV backed into my car, causing over $3,000 damage. I was a few blocks away and didn't see it happen. They waited - yes, waited! - for the owner to return and provided me their insurance info, not to mention apologizing profusely for the damage. If this young newlywed couple were on Yelp, I'd give them five stars too. read more

I had my first accident in Chicago a bit ago and I didn't know who to go to. Allstate referred me to Jersey Automotive and I brought my car in. Immediately I was talked to, not as a child (I'm only 24 and when it comes to cars, people tend to not let that go), but as a fellow adult with my best interests in mind. Went to Jersey, there estimate was 1.6K less than the first place, and finished the work in less than a week. My car looks as good as new, amazing work. Unfortunately for me - after many years in automotive damage heaven (almost none) - I've had some dings over the past year or so (store parking lot shopping cart slash on the front hood of a VW Beetle; street hump bump damaging rear bumper; my own stupid curb scrape of the front left quarter underside; an open driver's side door "sprung" while backing into a garage many years ago that started me visiting Jersey, etc). Each time I've visited this shop for these repairs I've had outstanding results. They're more than fair about cost for excellent truly professional work. I had a broken side mirror and small scratch on the side of my car that needed to be repaired in a matter of about 48 hours (my fault for leaving it to be fixed the days before I trade in my lease car, nothing like last minute!) and Chris and the guys at Jersey took great care of me!
