What started out as a great customer experience with ASM has slowly soured since April. The initial…read morecontact, communications, test drive, and ease of transaction were all outstanding on the purchase of our used Mastercraft. However, after the sale, customer service has been very disappointing and frankly, extremely frustrating. As an out-of-state buyer, I am required by law to have a registered license plate on the boat trailer. To do so, I must present a trailer MSO (Manufacturer Statement of Origin) to the license bureau. At time of purchase back in mid-April, I was told by ASM that they would get a hold of it. Well, it is mid-June and I still never received it! I made 14 phone calls to ASM over this period, only to be told every excuse in the book; examples: "they need a form from Mastercraft, just haven't had time to fill out form, just sent the form in, Mastercraft is not answering us, they are out on a test drive, can't get in touch with my MC rep, check back tomorrow, I promise to call you back, etc." Lots of excuses, ASM read "that" book, yet, NO RESULTS! Unfortunately, I was pulled over last week towing the boat without a trailer plate. Considering I was past the 30 day window, I ended up with a ticket. Long story short, without the MSO I had to purchase a commercial vehicle trailer license which cost considerately more initially and each and every single year. Just a word to potential out-of-state buyers that need to register a boat trailer, make sure you have the trailer MSO before you finalize the deal. Realizing Tennessee does not register trailers, it appears this area is not an ASM priority nor does it appear that an out-of-state buyer holds much weight after the sales transaction due to distance from their dealership.

The operations manager made promises he didn't keep, and the service manager was downright rude. When things went south, I tried to escalate the issue, but the owner wouldn't even speak with me. After spending nearly $1,000, my trolling motor is still not fixed. To make matters worse, when I raised my concerns to the owner, I received a call from the operations manager telling me I was the problem. That was the final straw. Customer service should be about accountability and solutions, not deflection and disrespect. This is a nice, average-sized marina with 3 docks. Dock one, closest to the gated entrance is for…read moresmaller boats. Dock 2 is for medium boats and houseboats, and 3 (I'm sure you're picking up on the pattern) is for the larger yachts. You have to know someone to get in (and would have no other reason to be IN the marina. You can access the restaurant and sports shop (where you can go stand up paddle boarding) without going through the gate to the boat docks. The people are super friendly (I'd be too if I owned one of these boats. Haha) and their parties are pretty entertaining. From this marina you can get downtown or up to Ashland City on the Harpeth.

Need it serviced again today and they said i cannot make an appointment that I need to bring it and it will sit outside for 2 weeks until they can get to it bc they have been stood up by people and had an empty shop a couple hours. That is complete bunk that I have to let it sit outside for weeks. My boat has never set outside and I would bring it couple days before they can get to it but not a couple weeks.
