    Turkey Turkey Bacon Club Sandwich

I was surprised how good and fresh the turkey club was. The bun was absolutely fantastic and the turkey was fresh. It was around $6.50, which I thought was very reasonably priced. I would give it an 8.5/10. Had the French fries as well. I would give those a 5.8/10.

Clean. Fast. Good for families. We enjoyed a veggie burger, turkey club & a cheeseburger & everyone had fries. The fries were fresh & crispy but soft in the middle. Salted to perfection.

I ordered two sandwiches two sides and a salad in drive thru. Excited to see their pumpkin squares back on the menu I ordered one. And this is what I received. I called and spoke to Brittany the manager. She offered to redo my order. I politely declined. If this is what you sever your customers you shouldn't have any! And I will not be one of the them.

Wrap was good but the fries should be put in small shorter and wider. Cheese only on top booo.

From the name you wouldn't expect vegetarian options, but they actually have quite a few! I've had their Southwest black bean salad which was, surprisingly, not bad! A bed of lettuce with corn, black beans, green peppers, pico de Gallo and tortilla strips. The highlight of meals is their garden veggie burger. The burger is big and comes with all the fixings; it's filling! The cheese fries are not what they used to be; nowadays the cheese tastes more like the processed cheese you might find at a hockey game. But, if that's your liking, then it's up your alley! I also had a Jamoca monster shake, which was sooooo sweet! Make sure you bring a friend to share it with, because they're huge! The toppings of donut holes and cinnamon roll were definitely store bought and a little stale; the only good part was the biscotti, which was still so sweet. All in all, Beef-a-roo is a good fast food choice for vegetarians!

First time at Beef-A-Roo and I wasn't impressed. I ordered a cheeseburger and fries and neither were anything special. Actually, the food looked and tasted like McDonald's. Plain frozen burger patty and simple thin fries. I don't understand the Rockford buzz about Beef-A-Roo. Interesting name, but low quality food.

My friends asked me why the hell I was hanging out in Rockford. Because Cheddar Fries. End review. Obviously, just kidding. It might kill me to write a review any less than 4,000 characters... and I actually think I'd responded, 'Because Adventure.' But Cheddar Fries and Adventure go hand-in-hand so I think the one explanation begets the other. Truth: The best part of my weekend was my visit to Beef-A-Roo. I think I told everyone I saw that I got to go here. There may even have been a few texts sent in honor of eating here. It's been several years since I've had legit fast food so I was instructed to get the Cheddar Fries, as apparently that's one of *the* things to do here, and that advice could not have been more spot on. I got a large because my company told me to get a small, and I can only take so much instruction at a time. At first I was a tad disappoint when I only saw what looked like a small-ish glob of cheese on top of a cup filled with fries, but then I realized that the entire core of the cup was full of cheese, all the way down to the bottom, so I didn't get bamboozled like when you go to the movie theater and they only only put the butter squirt on the top later... which is total bullsh*t. The goodness didn't stop with the gelatinous cheddar core (the most American kind of core there is). I turned around to see a condiment station and fountain soda bar that had complimentary sliced jalapenos! I piled those bad boys into a paper cup, grabbed a packet of Beef-A-Roo's horseradish sauce and barbecue sauce and sat my ass down... oh, and I got a salad but I know that's the least of anyone's interest, so I'll save that for later. This place is immaculately clean and features art from local artists. The inside, which I was told got a makeover is surprisingly swanky with oversized black pleather booths, brick fireplaces (inside and on patio out front - ooh la la) and dimly lit for mood, not so dark that you can't see everything, but just enough so you'll look a little better than you probably do in normal, outside of Beef-A-Roo life. They have a new 'skinny menu' with some fairly artisan-type offerings that are low on calories. I still recommend you get a large cheddar fry to go with whatever you order though. I love beets so I ordered the beet salad with really fresh tasting REAL Gorgonzola cheese. I felt like my fries and salad were a bit pricey at $9 and some change, but I managed to get full even while splitting the salad with one of my dining partners. The salad came with beets, spinach, thin orange slices, craisins and a balsamic vinaigrette dressing packet that I used sparsely, as the salad was good enough without. It didn't feel like a fast food item at all, in the best possible way. They sealed the 5-Star deal with super friendly, clean cut service that ended with a young man walking around to each table close to the end of our meal, offering us either a small mint or chocolate. "I'll take the Andes minty chocolate please." ... as my company had to pry me from the booth, not wanting to leave the confines of a magical place called Beef-A-Roo.

    Chix bacon club--pretty good.

The service was amazing, but we forgot the name of the server. She was helpful, gave recommendations and assisted in decisions between items. We ordered an appetizer of shrimp and it was AMAZING! Great portion size and great taste. We had the Mac and Cheese and the Philly Cheesesteak Wrap. Both items were delicious and more than enough food to fill us up and have leftovers. The best part of the restaurant is the draft wall. You can choose from multiple types of beer, mixed drinks, or straight liquor for mixing yourself. It added fun to the experience pouring your own beverages. The bar is very spacious and allows for multiple seating scenarios from high tops to regular chairs, to couches. You can watch teams play sports below or play pool and darts. I am very glad we gave them a second chance, it was worth the trip back. Thank you for a great evening.

Such an amazing experience…read more Starting off with the restaurant itself, such a beautifully curated spot that is unlike anything rockford has to offer. Every detail a work of art. We really enjoy the bar area and its ambiance but hope to also experience the dining room as well. We started off with the Dip of the day which was a Miso Ranch dip served with fresh made tortilla chips. This was phenomenal and my only complaint is there wasn't more! We also both ordered a drink off of their happy hour menu. I ordered the old Fashioned and my wife ordered their margarita. Both were excellent. I also ordered the VIEUX CARRÉ based on our Server's recommendation and thoroughly enjoyed that. Such knowledgeable staff makes a big difference. For our main course, I got their Mushroom Pot Pie and my wife ordered the Ora King Salmon. Both dishes blew us away. Neither of us expected to be so full after our meals, their serving sizes were very generous! I wanted to highlight the mushroom pot pie, as a vegetarian, Fine dining usually does not cater to vegetarians. So having options at a place this nice was such a welcomed surprise. The greens included with the Pot Pie really stole the show, The most perfectly cooked and seasoned greens I have ever had. Chef Nick Risseeuw came over and checked on how we were doing and after hearing me rave about his pot pie offered two of his desserts on the house. We got a pistachio orange dessert and a Malt ball ice cream that was his interpretation of whopper candy as an ice cream. Both were DIVINE! Thank you again Nick for your generosity, it was a perfect way to end a perfect meal. I also wanted to highlight the staff as they played an essential role in our unbelievable experience. Everyone was so friendly, attentive, and prompt. We will definitely return soon and cannot wait to see what is in store for their upcoming menu

I chose the grilled chicken with vegetables instead of fries--a healthier option--and it was tender, flavorful, and satisfying. One person in our party ordered the sturgeon special and couldn't stop talking about how delicious it was. Then came the dessert tray...wow! There were so many tempting choices that it was hard to decide. I had the berry layered cake, which was moist, flavorful, and the perfect finish to the meal. I thought of Hoffman House, which is co-located inside a hotel. We'd eaten there years ago, and their prime rib was very good. While driving north, my wife looked it up. They changed from a white table cloth restaurant to more of a sports bar theme. Their entree list was rather anemic and just not worth the trip, except they did offer Prime Rib on Saturday. We made the trip. For starters, when you walk in there is no hostess station. The bartender told us "Sit where ever you want." so we found a booth that was clean and sat down. The seating was, well worn as in worn out. The seat covers were chipping on the chairs, and the booth seating was just dead. Our server arrived and we placed our order. My wife ordered tea, and I had a Guiness draft which was properly poured. The server brought out 4 honey buns, which are light and fluffy, sprinkled with powdered sugar, and served with a honey butter blend. They are best when they arrive - HOT. (Eat them as they arrive) It wasn't very long before the main course came out. No salad was offered. My Prime Rib was ordered and served medium rare, and the baked potato was cooked properly. I was expecting some horseradish sauce with the Prime Rib - nope. My wife did enjoy her shaved Prime Rib sandwich - the roll it was on was nice, and she opted for the premium onion strings, which were tasty. Why just okay? This was a place to go for a nice dinner with your family. It has transformed into a tired sports bar. Lots of screens, but it's kind of half-hearted with regards to the sports bar theme. Servers aren't in sports uniforms, there isn't a lot of stuff on the walls. The seating is worn out and should be either refinished or replaced. It feel like they ran out of money or concepts during the conversion, and just stopped. There is nothing compelling here to bring us back.
