We made reservations online and were seated at the expected time. The menu is smaller and there are options of fish or chicken in addition to many steak options. Portions are large and the food was all cooked very well. One suggestion would be to have the drink specials and applicable options available for reading. Our waiter wasn't sure what martinis were included so we ended up googling and asking if they could make one we found. We were also told the martini on the menu wasn't included in the martini special. The bruschetta comes deconstructed and the menu didn't describe it well so we were a bit surprised, it was good regardless. We will go back. read more

We absolutely love Beef and Bourbon! The blueberry bourbon mojito is my favorite drink! We love the truffle fries for a quick snack. There are a ton for sharing. Sometimes, we just have appetizers and salad. Sometimes, we have a larger meal. It is always delicious. For us, it's the service that makes this a favorite place for us. We are always greeted warmly but the owners. They are always there and that says a lot about how much care they put into the experience. The wait staff is awesome! Each one is our favorite! We have been here multiple occasions and each time did not disappoint. Food is delicious and I mean EVERY dish. We always try to get something different, and haven't found a dish that lacked taste. Place was practically empty when my party of 3 arrived at 5:15pm on Thursday without a reservation and we were told to wait to be seated. A few minutes later we were seated. I ordered a mixed drink, cup of soup as an appatizer for $8, and NY Strip steak medium rare. My drink glass smelled like it was cleaned with a filthy rag. The soup came out in decent time but was nothing spectacular, and it took 50 minutes to get out main meals. We had asked our waitress how much longer on our meals and she gave us attitude saying she'll check on it. The steak came out medium well done, probably from sitting so long under the heat lamp. And she charged $15 for the soup, which we told her to correct. There are definitely better steakhouses with better ssrvice. read more

Drinks & dinner with friends. Waited a bit for drinks but the table agreed they were delicious. Dinner is standard steak house fare, the prices were on the high side so maybe I was expecting too much. The meal was good, a solid good but nothing I'd say stood out. My wife's steak was terribly overcooked but even the server acknowledged it wasn't even close to right- she took it back and brought a new one shortly. It's a modern space, it wasn't overly loud. Decided to try Beef & Bourbon Chophouse yesterday for an early dinner. I will admit I am a bit of a stickler when it comes to fine dining and service. For me there is an expectation associated with fine dining. Now the big question... did B&B deliver? I am happy to say Yes! The atmosphere was relaxing, warm and comfortable. Our server (Tiffany) was helpful, tentative, provided a warm welcome added with a smile. Dishes were promptly removed from the table, glasses were never empty... thank you. Now for the food. The NY Strip was prepared perfectly with a seared outer layer, decadent pink center, full of flavor paired nicely with creamy potatoes. The Lobster & Shrimp Risotto was rich, creamy, melt in your mouth flavor and the arborio was spot on. The shrimp cocktail was also a star of the show. The homemade cocktail sauce had a nice bite to it with many plump shrimp. To end our evening we tried the NY cheesecake. All I will say is save room for the Afters! When we first got to the restaurant, there was hardly anyone there. That didn't last long! We were seated immediately. Our server was very friendly and knowledgeable. Such a cute spot! Had the truffle Fries which are my favorite and they were some of the best I've ever had! The Seasonal Salad with chicken was amazing and finished off with some creme brûlée. A must try! The only thing I would have changed was the noise level of a party that was there which was very loud and given the ambiance of the location it would have been nice for staff to have asked them to quiet down a bit as reading the room you could tell there were other tables that were annoyed. read more

This is one of the better establishments in the area. The New Zealand Lamb was phenomenal and has a hint of syrup glaze on it. Beef and Bourbon is in kind of a weird spot right outside of Davenport, IA... Situated in a strip mall, next to a coffee shop in a developing part of town, you would drive past this establishment and think to yourself that it was some kind of fast food establishment. That couldn't be any further from the truth. The inside doesn't exactly match the menu, but that's not necessarily a bad thing.. it just doesn't give you that "steakhouse" vibe. The menu is concise and features a nice list of appetizers, salads, some sandwiches, entrees and then cuts of meat. I'm a huge believer in a restaurant doing a few things with excellence, rather than having a 10 page menu of mediocre food. Specialize in something, own that and build around it. I brought some customers into Beef and Bourbon on a weeknight and was able to call and get a 5:30 reservation right around the holidays. My customers all ordered selections off their nice bourbon menu - which featured the usual suspects plus some more rare, less known entries like Jefferson's Ocean Aged at Sea. I went with a bottle of Cab from their small, but pretty nice wine list. We ordered some onion rings and truffle fries with curry mayo, and both were really good. We also ordered the charcuterie board with cheeses, and again, this was a solid choice with some nice selections. For my meal, I went with the New Zealand rack of lamb, and it was fantastic. My customers all had ribeyes and cowboy cut ribeyes, and they all were pleasantly surprised of the taste and quality of the cuts. We are all pretty seasoned carnivores, and no strangers to high-end steakhouses. Bourbon and Beef was an unexpected surprise because of it's location and unassuming atmosphere. I would encourage anyone who is looking for a really nice steakhouse experience in a less-than-stuffy environment to give Beef and Bourbon a go. I We had a small hiccup with the service in the middle of the meal that kept me from giving it the full five stars, but I will be back to give them the opportunity to get that one back. My wife has spent years in Chicago and NYC, and is nowadays spending some time in LA, so she's used to eating at higher end/Michelin star restaraunts, and I've struggled to find a place in the QC that could get close to that level of quality on our date nights, etc. That hunt is now over - Beef and Bourbon FTW! We had the BBQ baked brie for starters and we each had the NY strip with brussel sprouts and mashed potatoes for our entrees. She also had the Thyme gin cocktail (can't quite remember the name), and we had turtle cheesecake and banana chocolate bread pudding for dessert. Every item was phenomenal. It takes a lot to make me like brussel sprouts but I could have had a plate full of just those Prices were very reasonable given the large portion sizes. The staff was amazing, every single person we interacted with was friendly and professional. Our waitress was named Vanessa, and she was fantastic, as were the two hosts at the front door. The decor was thoughtfully done and there was clearly some attention to detail down to the cutlery and glassware. When we got up to leave (around 6:30) the place was basically full, including every seat at the bar. I'm not surprised - this was basically the best higher end dining experience I've had in the QCA. We went for the Brunch. Way to expensive for the horrible food we got. The sausages were awful looking but I tried them any way. They were refrigerator cold. The bacon slightly better. The omelet was runny. The French Toast was soggy and limp. The service was even worse. When a service person was needed, there was no one around. People at our table did not get refills when asked. It seemed that we were totally forgotten. Gratuity was automatically added to the check and that was not what we wanted to leave as a tip. The table was ok. Plenty of room for the 6 of us. The buffet had no sneeze cover and there were people coughing and hacking over the food. I would not recommend this establishment for Brunch. I would give this experience 1 Star and that is only because I can't get away without any stars. read more

My $50 filet mignon: ordered medium it came more rare. But I didn't send it back because the exterior was tough. As I ate it the cut of beef was just tough and not very tender at all. On a personal level I didn't care for the seasonings but that is subjective. My Cesar salad had waayyy too much dressing, and globs of cheese all at the bottom. It was like they scraped some bowl out into my dish. And the crotons were so hard I couldn't eat them. My wine had sediment junk from the bottle. The food and drinks overall were okay. Unfortunately the service was not good at all. The waiter was rude and condescending and just made for a poor experience. To add insult to injury, we had a 22% gratuity added to our bill that we were not aware of. When inquiring with the restaurant about this they said they do charge a 20% gratuity to parties of six or more. So apparently the server was not only unprofessional, but also dishonest and added more to our bill then should have been per business policy. If you choose to try B+B check your invoice closely and avoid the scallops. Good luck with the service quality. read more
