Oh boy, where do I start? Calling the food "crap" would be a compliment. The crab cakes were surprisingly decent, which was shocking given the rest of the menu seemed inspired by hospital cafeteria leftovers. The Mac and cheese was the only saving grace. At least it distracted me from the other atrocities on my plate. I typically eat at upscale places and the steaks here would be laughable by those standards. If you think Texas Roadhouse makes a great steak, this might be acceptable for you. lol It was a pleasant 73 degrees outside, but inside the restaurant, it felt like a sweat lodge. The thermostat said 73 degrees inside as well!! It brought me back to the days of the YMCA when I would sit in the steam room with old men. I spent a great deal of time fanning myself off with a piece of mail in the wife's purse. We had the pleasure of standing around for a whole five minutes waiting for a table, despite half the place being empty. Perhaps they were saving those for the ghosts of patrons past, who knows? They also didn't have our reservation down in their books.... What kinda operation we running here? Clearly, this joint doesn't believe in spending money on things like upgrading the AC. But hey, they have a robot scooting around the place. Yes, a robot. Priorities, right? And don't get me started on the steak. It was so tough and filled with gristle that I had to drown it in A1 just to make it edible. The only reason I'm not giving this place zero stars is because our server, Lydia, was a rockstar. She managed to keep a smile on her face while dealing with the culinary disaster zone that is this restaurant. Lydia, if you're reading this, best of luck on your future endeavors! While on a small road trip, my family and I decided to celebrate my birthday at a new spot, and this steakhouse was our pick. It turned out to be a wonderful choice for the occasion! The atmosphere was calm, with only a few diners, which made for a relaxed dining experience. The decor was modern and stylish, adding a touch of elegance to the celebration. We started with crab cakes as an appetizer, and they were to die for! Perfectly crispy on the outside and bursting with flavor. For the little ones, both my daughter and niece enjoyed the chicken tenders, which were made in-house and tasted far better than the standard fare at other restaurants. For the entrees, I opted for the Top Sirloin, while my husband went for the Chicken Parmesan. The sirloin was tender and enjoyable but could have used a bit more seasoning to really elevate the flavors. On the other hand, my husband raved about his Chicken Parmesan, which he said was perfectly cooked and packed with flavor. For drinks, we kept it simple with two Shirley Temples, a Sprite, and a fresh glass of water--all served promptly and chilled to perfection. The highlight of the evening was our amazing waitress. She was incredibly sweet, going above and beyond by singing "Happy Birthday" to me and surprising me with a dessert--a delectable scoop of ice cream paired with what seemed to be banana pudding bread. It was the perfect ending to a lovely meal! Overall, we had a fantastic time celebrating here. The service, food, and ambiance made it a memorable experience. If I'm ever in the area again, I'll definitely stop by and explore more from their enticing menu!

Cowboy Ribeye med rare with salad and garlic mashed potatoes, and plenty of water 'cause I was thirsty.

First time here. Got to say, waiter Jordan was the BEST waiter I've probably ever had. I asked for water and mentioned how thirsty I was and he brought me 3 glasses of ice water - which may not sound like a big deal, but I VERY MUCH appreciated that! He was friendly, well mannered, smiled, and made me feel welcome. I saw him looking at my water level several times as I was eating and was quick to ask if I would like another glass. The food was awesome. I had the Cowboy Ribeye med rare with a salad and garlic mashed potatoes - all were sooo good, the steak especially flavorful. I'm only in town for 3 days, but it's going to be hard not to eat here every night.

Nice place, clean restrooms, good food, great atmosphere. And the prices are reasonable.

Food and service were great. We went here on New Years Eve and had a great time. Would definitely recommend it to others.

This is a high end restaurant. It has a beautiful view from atop the Rhythm City Casino…read more The service was excellent, as expected. Our waitress was knowledgeable about the menu, thorough, and checked in with us at the right frequency (often enough to be helpful, but not so often as to be interrupting). The food was mostly good, but had some misses. I had the prime rib as my main course. I ordered it medium-rare. It was melt-in-your-mouth terrific. As far as I could tell it was seasoned very simply with just salt and pepper. Normally I am a horseradish guy--it was supplied with au jus and horseradish sauce--but the flavor of the meat was so good that the sauces actually detracted from it. The asparagus side was disappointing. It was prepared very well--looked like it was grilled--and was seasoned well. The problem was the quality of the asparagus itself. Granted that we are not exactly in-season for good quality asparagus, but I expect a high end restaurant to at least make sure the ends are trimmed adequately to ensure there are no tough bits left. My wife had the vegetable pasta and reported that it was good. My kid had the kids' pepperoni pizza. Again, I was disappointed in this. It was overcooked. He normally doesn't eat the crust anyway, but when I tried to eat the leftover crusts, I found them to be really hard. Also the pepperoni was seared to the point that it was hard and crispy. The desserts looked so good, I had to try two. The salted caramel cheesecake was excellent. It was light and fluffy, while still being rich and not overly sweet. I also had the lemon blueberry cake, which was a new addition to their offerings. This was good, but the cheesecake definitely outshone it. Prices were on the high side, but not outrageous. Overall, this was a mixed bag. I would eat here again on the strength of how good the meat was. I would definitely be interested in trying one of their steaks in the future. Given the prices, I wouldn't do it very often though.

Food and service was amazing! Will definitely visit again while in the Davenport area!read more

One of the appetizers was a morel mushroom soup which was downright exquisite. They also had a 30 oz lightly smoked lobster tail. We didn't get that but noticed several people did and it looked amazing. There is a range of seafood, beef, chicken, duck, etc.; all with interesting presentations. And the desserts are great too. We had the carrot cake and a chocolate chip cookie with toppings. The cookie was about 6 inches in diameter! Duck City Bistro is an all around fun time with great food and epic presentations. I am writing this review to warn future patrons of the hidden price gouging that goes on at this…read morerestaurant. We dined on February 13th-we were excited, as our reservation was made due to an enthusiastic review of a friend. There was a bit of a show from the owner when he was introducing the featured items, which we found endearing. The drinks were good, although hardly uniform, as multiple people in our party ordered the same drink but they were served in different glasses with varying levels of alcohol. The menu was heavy on the steak and seafood, and there were no prices listed. We ordered the duck (signature dish) and the crab legs. No mention from the waitress on any pricing (and shame on us for not asking). The meal was good, although nothing outstanding. We were happy with our experience until the bill came. The crab legs alone were $300!!! Our jaws hit the floor. We have dined in many upscale restaurants (Manhattan, Miami, Chicago) and we have NEVER paid close to that price tag for crab legs. We spoke to the owner Jerry, and he issued excuse after excuse. He stated that he paid "$100 per pound" and our order consisted of 1.5 pounds...so we were up-charged $150?! He was incredibly defensive and non-apologetic regarding our experience. Our take home point to him was if you're going to charge that amount of money for a singular menu item, you need to disclose the price when people order. Our bill was over $500 for mediocre food and left us with such a poor experience. That's more than we spend on an entire month dining out. We felt swindled and taken advantage of. Shame on us for not asking the price, and shame on Jerry and this restaurant for charging such an outrageous price for a menu item. BEWARE!!! We will never eat here again-largely because of the terrible response we got from the owner when we expressed our frustration and the lack of transparency with the menu.
