This was a stop my dad and company had us make on the way from my arrival at the Tri-Cities Airport after starting the day in Connecticut. So Beef O' Brady's is a name that brings back some later childhood memories. When I grew up in Florida, it was a popular name that I may or may not have eaten at there. Anyway, coming here is much appreciated just for the nostalgia alone. On my visit to this Johnson City location, we were served by Danielle, and I would have to say her skills as a waitress are good. She's friendly and takes your order without complaint. Really, that's all I ask for people who wait on us. My dad was footing the bill on this one. So for what we had, my older brother is the only one who doesn't drink alcohol (anymore), but the rest of my group of 4 had some kind of alcohol. Dad does a beer, and while I don't remember off the top of my head what my stepmom went with, I chose the Caribbean Rum Punch (most of the buzz from my drinks in Charlotte had worn off at this point that I could have another drink). For our main, my brother had the OMG Burger with no tomato, done medium, and had fries. The rest of us had wings, and this time I know exactly what we had. Mine were 10 boneless Blackened wings and were the only ones that were boneless, my stepmom had Sweet Thai Chili, and my dad did Mango Habanero. For appetizers, we saw the onion rings and mozzarella sticks this time around. My brother was given the marinara because I do not have it if it can be helped. I also heard that the fried pickles were actually really good and my stepmom did actually want to order that, but we didn't have those in the order. I will say everyone liked what we ate for the most part. My brother and I have differing opinions on doneness (I am of the opinion that anything not done at least a medium-well is almost the same as if I were eating it raw). My brother likes the juiciness of medium-cooked foods and likes to joke that these eating anything cooked past that are eating hockey pucks. I thought my wings were good and crispy, but I do feel like they kind of skimped on the spiciness a tad. Blackened wings should have a good kick to them, and these taste more like a seasoning than a coating. The chicken was at least tender, so I will give them points for that. As for the mozzarella sticks, most of mine had a good cheese pull that I appreciated and enjoyed. There were maybe 1 or 2 though that were hollow inside, so that was disappointing, but the fact that the rest of them more than made up for it means I can't knock them too much. At the end of the day, this is going to be another 4. It's a good place to stop by and eat. Just know Beef O'Brady's ain't a small restaurant chain and locations in multiple states, so as such it might help to slightly temper expectations. read more

Do not rely on their website for their hours. It was after 8p when we headed out looking for dinner after being on the road all day. I went to their website to verify their hours and it said they were open until 10p. When we got there at 8:35, there was a paper sign with "new winter hours" (this was mid-March so I guess it's technically still winter) and a 9p closing time on week nights. I do not like to be the one who comes in just before closing time. read more

A burger palace that wants to be a sports pub! The bar area is loud, with close seating which is difficult to get around on when they are busy! The booths are dirty and so is their men's room. The food is OK and not as good as Pals burgers. The bar people (maids in the old days) can either be great and attentive of consumed with their cell phones. Parking is OK, but not easy. if you want a burger - go to PALs. read more

When you're in the sports bar mood, it's a decent choice. Atmosphere is friendly, service was good and the environment is welcoming. Food is average, wife had a steak and cheese while I had the fish and chips. Her sandwich was loaded and the onion rings were spot on. My three pieces of fish were ok but nothing special, similar to boxed frozen fillets from the grocery store. I think a beef entree would be a better choice for our next visit. A good place to have a casual meal. They have weeknight specials and a good lunch menu. They do a good job on casual dining items like burgers, tacos, and specialty sandwiches. Their wings are my favorites. I also enjoy their fish and chips; the fish is seasoned perfectly. Their sides and desserts are a little limited, but what they have is good. I especially like their grilled zucchini side and their funnel cake fries dessert. Service can be a bit slow, but give it a try. read more

Arrived at 6:15 and after standing for 10 minutes had a hostess tell us she couldn't seat us for 15 more minutes. Three booths were clean and empty. They provided no area to sit and everyone was huddled by the front door. When asked why we couldn't sit in a empty booth she replied "because I've been told". Other patrons were staring, the majority didn't have food on their table. We left immediately and enjoyed a wonderful meal at another restaurant. We have eaten at this establishment for years and the service has steadily declined. We will never go back- rude, disrespectful and unprofessional. read more

I was tired and craving a good hamburger and the reviews said this place had exactly that, besides which it was close to our hotel, so after a long day of dealing with the public we stopped by on our way back there. It was listed as a sports bar but aside from multiple TVs tuned to assorted basketball and football games (muted) it seemed to be pretty much a family place. I had the O'Brady Burger and husband had the OMG Burger. Both came with lots of fries and were exactly what we needed. This isn't fancy but it sure is good! read more

This is one of the best eating establishments in the Jonesborough area. The staff is great, we prefer to get Matt for our server. Food is rarely ever cooked wrong and if it was, they replace it and usually give you the dinner on the house. I have been going there for years, and still go there at least once a week. Average in about every aspect. This place is in a location that is underserved for food and drink, and it fits the bill. For beer, don't expect anything unique or special, just average. For food, don't expect anything memorable but it will fill the void. The pizza is actually pretty tasty so I can recommend that. Decor, seating, tables, cleanliness, bathrooms, all very average. I've been coming to Kingsport for years for work. I've always wanted to try this place but for many reasons never did. Well, I am glad I waited until now to visit! I ate at the bar and the bartender, Justina, was super! Very friendly, good service, and food was served quick just as I ordered. Quality of food is average for Pub scene, but I did only get standard fare. I showed up about an hour before closing due to travel. Things were winding down. Even still, I never felt rushed. From what I gathered from side conversations there's a new owner and Justina is also new to this location. If you are a local give this place another shot. If you an out-of-towner, don't be fooled by previous reviews from a previous management team. This is a good atmosphere with excellent service. Just don't sneak in without anyone noticing and sit at the end of the bar. :) read more

Excellent service at this location. They were very busy on a football Sunday. I came to see a particular game, the Atlanta Falcons, and it was only on one t.v. Where I was seated I could not see the game very well but it was the only table they had. As soon as a table opened up the manager immediately cleaned it so I could be closer. My husband and I eat lunch here about 4 times a year and always get a sandwich called the Watterson- roast beef, swiss cheese, red onion on nonwhite bread- we loved it. Today we went there for lunch and they had changed the Watterson from roast beef to prime rib. I did not like it as it had way too much fat and gristle in it, plus they raised the price. Recently my family and I went to Beef O'Grady for dinner. My husband ordered the special which was a Fish and Shrimp plate, when the plate arrived I thought they had forgot to put the fish on the plate, they were so small. The rest of the plate wasn't much better, I felt he needed another meal to make sure he had enough food.
