My husband and I went to the new location today in South Lakeland. Looks are deceiving... location has changed but the place is still gross as ever. Service was fast but too fast. There is little to no regard for attention to detail as the beer glass had remnence on the outside and inside. The menu also had food from the last customer in the middle as seen on the pictures. We ordered mozzarella sticks and they came out cold and not golden Brown. Even the manager recognized this and offered to pay for our entire meal. I didn't order anything else because I was afraid to eat anything from this restaurant. My go-to is always traditional wings but after the mozz sticks came out the way they did, I honestly was afraid I would bite into raw chicken. We left. read more

Whenever I try a new place I order something basic, in this case it's a hamburger. Ordered med and it came out rare (I used to eat it this way) and cool to the touch. Brought this to the servers attention just as a "let the kichen know "and then finished most of the sandwich. Pains me to put this but I'm being honest. Food/Service: ordered a burger all the way, got everything but the tomato. When I inquired I was told they were out of tomato due to a National shortage and that there was a sign on the front door. Obviously I didn't see the sign but when I asked the server who has been with Beef's for a long time why didn't she tell me when I ordered the burger all the way, I was told they don't tell every table because of the sign at the front door. When we left I asked the hostess about the sign and I got a curt response that it was on the front door when I came in. This sign is printed on a standard 8x11 paper and although it was larger font and highlighted there were all kinds of other various signs posted all over the door and windows. I don't typically stop and read signs on the front of restaurant doors when the door is open and the restaurant is clearly open. However if the door was locked then yeah I would read whatever was posted. Also upon walking in, there were 2 good sized sandwich type boards for patrons with the specials listed. Nothing that mentions tomato shortage. What it basically boils down to in my opinion is that the servers don't want to be bothered with having to tell patrons about the shortage because How Annoying For Them. Never mind a paying patron that would have appreciated the reminder. Good thing I didn't order the BLT. read more

Super pleased with dinner! The wife and I loved everything about our meal. I had the 10 wing basket (Boom Boom sauce) and she ordered the Prime Rib sandwich. Getting a too go order is a bad move. I had the wings tonight in probably 10 years and the quality is not close to what it use to be. I order them "extra extra crispy" ordering on the web and their was no crisp. The chicken does not taste normal but it could have been the sauce. We went here coming home from our visit to the Grape hammocks. The seemed overwhelmed. We asked for a table so the sat us in the area of the bar. The bartender she was working her butt off. Tending bar, waiting tables, and taking orders out to parked customers. Food was very slow getting to us. We ate and was leaving. We noticed customers left the store and food like a lot of food was left on the tables like whole orders of chicken wings and large amounts of french fries. The food was still hot untouched and customers left and drove off. Now I know service was slow but was it that bad? I stopped in for lunch shortly after opening, about 11:20 a.m., Wednesday, January 27, 2021. I haven't been in Beef's since pre-covid-19, but have been pining for a good hearty sandwich for a good while. I can tick that box off with a well-made Reuben and fries. I have long thought of Beef's as a winner in this realm, and everything looks to be in good order still. My sandwich was a substantial double-serving of corned beef, sauerkraut, swiss, & 1000-island dressing, on grilled rye. You probably can't find a 100% legit Reuben outside NYC, but Beef's does a good approximation. Yes, it could be better with house-made, hand-cut corned brisket, true Russian dressing, homemade kraut, and artisanal rye. Still, this is as satisfying a Reuben as you will find in our town since TooJays shut down. The fries were crisp and fresh-tasting. I had an idea as I was munching away, what if it was a smoked brisket? That could be interesting. With an iced tea, & tip, just$16 for a substantial meal fit for two. Beef O Brady's, South Lakeland, I'm the Lake Miriam shoppping center. Went tonight, got there at 6PM, 6 of us. We all ordered the special for wings. I ordered 10. 30 minutes later 5 people's food came, another 5 minutes later, someone else's came, but not mine. They brought me boneless wings, instead of traditional, and cold fries. So everyone else continued eating. I waited and waited, another 12+ minutes. Everyone at my table was over half done and most 75% done. I advised the waitress to just cancel my order as I originally planned to eat with the rest of my group. The waitress informed the manager, to which he came to the table and said, is there something I can get you, I can have it right out. If that was the case, why didn't my wrong order get made and get right out to me. Not good. If you mess up someone's dinner, it should become a rip priority to fix. This was not the case here. This is a large Beef's with a private room. Great wings! (My fave--boneless sweet jalapeno.) Great pitchers! Lite beer is 2.89, unless happy hour, 1.89. Can get noisy but most come for the party noises.....................they also support local schools with school nites where a portion of the proceeds goes to a specified school. Their chips are covered with pepper, a unique flavor. I don't recommend their chili--tastes like Hormel (meat and sauce only no beans). Their queso is okay, but others do it better. Called into beefs to place an order today yet again for lemon pepper flat wings without any sauce. I love these wings and I have severe allergies to gluten and dairy and for a long time I have been able to go to this restaurant and get these wings, there is only one other place in Lakeland that I can go to downtown that is safe for me to eat. All of a sudden I call in to the restaurant today and they say that they cannot guarantee anything that the wings are no longer in their own fryer and that the oil now rotates and gluten will be in the oil! This is so upsetting, and such a load of crap! There are so many people in this world that have allergies and now you have just eliminated us being able to eat at your restaurant! Now my husband will not go either. They frankly were not helpful at all and short on the phone! Sad thing after us going there so many times!!!!!!! Took my family here tonight for dinner .. I don't usually complain but tonight was just awful! We had our 1yr old granddaughter with us and I thank God she was so well behaved because we waited for 45 min for a table .. they did say it would be 30 min ... but once we sat , we ordered and it took 35 min for our dinners . We ordered Buffalo chicken salad and my daughter got fajitas. First a woman brought out just the chicken ... no tortillas, lettuce etc ... just meat ... and the rest of us had nothing ... 10 min later they brought out her stuff to go with her dinner and now the chicken is not sizzling... 5 min later the rest of us got our salad ... which was lettuce, parmigiana and croutons with 6 pieces of chicken ... I will never understand why anyone thinks Beef's is a good place to eat. The food is just horrible. Of all the sports bar style restaurants that pride themselves in their wings, this place is a joke. Their wings look like they came off a sparrow, not a chicken. The food is almost all fried, tasteless, and has to be drenched in some kind of sauce or cheese to make it edible. I have given Beef's so many chances at various locations and each time I leave there saying "why in the world did I spend my money at this place?" Great service by Amy. Prompt and helpful. Now I thought Beef's were known for their chicken wings. We eagerly ordered our wing baskets. I tried sweet jalapeno. I don't think which sauce you pick makes any difference, they slather it on with a heavy hand. However, the wings need to be cooked through! and the skin needs to be crispy! the wing meat was a bit chewy (underdone) and the skin was completely chewy. Not brown, not crispy: white/raw??/chewy. It couldn't be broken down in my teeth! When I brought this to Amy's attention, she said "you have to ask for crispy". So you are telling me this is the correct cook-style for Beef's wings?? OMG So pitiful. She did replace my order with boneless wings. Unfortunately also a little underdone/chewy. Cook them longer please! That makes chicken flaky. FYI. read more

This was my wife and my first trip to a Beef O Brady's and it wasn't too bad! We went late at night (after 9PM) so I can't really comment on the service during busy hours, but we got everything decently quick. Food was pretty good, we got a caesar salad, the cheesy bacon pub chips, grilled chicken wrap and chicken tacos. Chicken tasted pretty good! The only complaint I have about the food is I think the pub chips were sitting for a little while, since the cheese had that "sitting around awhile" look and texture. We first went here on a whim to try it and have returned several times. If you understand what you're getting (American casual dining and not a Michelin-rated restaurant) it's not bad. Service has generally been very good every time. Even thought it's "seat yourself," a server normally comes to the table very quickly to greet you and take drink orders. Likewise, the food has consistently been pretty good. It's the consistency of the service and food that keeps us coming back. We usually ask to change one of the channels since we are Pittsburgh fans and very rarely do they play those, and they are always happy to change the channel. Loved this place and my boyfriend and I were regulars until the other night when the manager accused us of using a fake bill (that i had just received from the bank) to pay for our food, even though their counterfeit pen clearly showed that it was real. Called them the next day to complain about how embarassed they made me feel for accusing me of such a thing and didn't even really receive an apology. The food is just ok. Nothing great. The biggest issue is the family environment that they try and have. The last two times we were there the same guy with his two unruly kids were there. The workers must know the guy because they all kiss his butt! The kids scream and run wild!! The least they could do is to is keep the kids out of the bar area.
