First time visitor here and it was a welcomed treat. I thought it was a more restaurant place but it is more of a bar. That being said, it plays a very well middle ground between the two. The service was great and very attentive, though it was about 1330 pm a Sunday and not very busy. Everything was clean and the ac worked great to get out of the hot Florida sun and humidity. I had the Italian sub which was pretty good and got the Brussels sprouts as a side. They could've used a bit of butter on them, but were tasty nonetheless. Will visit again. Great experience. Went there for drinks and ( happy hour) dinner. Our server, Amber, was extremely knowledgeable about the individual beers, drinks, etc--and there were a lot. She was professional, friendly and attentive.. We ordered pretzel bites with a cheese dip that was very tasty ( photo failed). The flatbread pizza was pretty big for an appetizer, fresh and flavorful. Our chicken tacos were also fresh and very good. Almost one week later we cannot recall our specific drink choices, but they were excellent. My sangria was light and refreshing, and my husband's Belgian dark beer was smooth and easy to drink. I'll be honest, this caught my eye via an ad on Instagram promoting their $5 Thursday nacho night (with a drink). It sounded like a lark, so I told my husband and he was all for it. It is literally a mile or two from our 'hood and on the edge of the Lakeside Village; there was no parking issues, even with two hotels right there. Yes! It is an adult bar, no bones about it. Long bar (shotgun style) with stools, high tops, and an elevated booth with table and stools across from the bar. Clean and friendly. Patio outside. Music playing, sports on the screens, all except one by us that was playing an old Pirates of the Caribbean movie. This isn't a kids place (but people still brought little kids here). They serve alcohol, wine, and beer in bottles, cans and draft. Wow, what a selection of draft beer! We were so excited that they had a selection from Bold City Brewery in Jacksonville FL, our home town. (Try Duke's Cold Nose Brown Ale, it's so delicious!) They had a really cool menu of fun pub food, but we really wanted those $5 nachos. Hubby had the beef, I had the chicken. They came out quick with sour cream and salsa on the side. Were they gourmet? Nah. Were they good? Heck yeah! They were exactly what we expected and tasted great. They were also a lot bigger than we thought they'd be. I swear I read something online that said they were "personal sized nachos" which was the reason we ordered two. Hah! They were big enough to split. We had a second round, this time hubby tried a Brown Sugar Brown Cow Beer (good) and I tried a Warhead Black Cherry which came in a snifter glass. That was delicious. I loved that they had such a variety on tap. We could have kept trying more but it was Thursday and we were driving, so had to stop. Good food. 3 stars because I tried to dine in with my 15 year old son at 10:30 on a Saturday night. They said that it was 21 and over for the night. There were maybe 15 people in the whole place. So let me say that I have had better and I would definitely not go out of my way to come to this place. I was in the area, staying at a hotel that was walking distance away, so it made it convenient to go to. I did come here three times, as to make sure that I would have a very fair review. I had food on two of the three nights. I arrived on a Monday evening and the place was dead. I was able to sit at the bar and the bartender was friendly. They do have a wide selection of brews which is what attracted me to it. While I was there I ordered my beer and food. I can say for bar food, which was decent and that was a stretch. On Tuesday I went back had a beer and was greeted by the same bartender. While I was there they had trivia that was ongoing. To me, this is absolutely one of the worst ideas they can bring into a bar. For starters, I guess they do not know there is such a thing as Google to get ALL your answers correct. As I looked around, I did not see that many people wrapped up with the game, yet that trivia guy was non stop ongoing. I would have stayed longer, but the non-stop talking fro the trivia guy and the worst music selection ever caused me to leave early. On Wednesday I got there toward the end of happy hour. The bar was slammed so I was not able to sit at the bar so I sat at a table. It took the waitress a few minutes to come over to us, to me that was not the end of the world. To be fair, I have not dealt with the waitress before as I get ready to talk about her. With that said, she came over was incredibly not happy, refused to talk, walked around with a don't talk to me type of face. Come to find out while I was there, they ran out of the beer I was drinking, so that was another strike against them. I guess they don't check kegs. I did order food, which I was unable to finish. The food was beyond tasteless, not hot, and seemed like it was cooked in a microwave. I ended up not even eating all of it. Yet, the server would not interact for us to have a dialogue with our food. Oh and to add to it, guess who came back?????? The trivia guy AGAIN. Now can I mention I have been in bars and restaurants for over 20 years. Never have I had the trivia night, two nights in a row. This caused us to leave earlier than we wanted. If you want a variety of beer, this place has it. If you want food, DEFINATELY DO NOT eat here. If you want some dialogue, do not waste your time. If you want attitude and subpar service with obnoxious trivia, this place is for you. Overall, would I come back, nope. read more

This joint isn't bad, but it kind of misses the mark a little. The beer selection is a good mix and the prices aren't too shabby. The food is where it gets fuzzy-it's tapas style and some shareable appetizers. What is written on the menu and what comes out is not the same. We started off with the buffalo chicken dip with tortilla chips. There was no chicken. It's contents were hot sauce and cheese sauce, with some melted shredded cheese on top-OK fine! Let that one slide on by, maybe there was chicken broth used as a thinner for the cheese sauce. Moving on...ordered the caprese flat bread which was actually pretty good. The balsamic drizzle was on point and the tomatoes were super thin sliced so it didn't become a barge of tomato water. It stayed crispy through the last bite. Next up: Prime Rib sliders and Prime Rib sandwich...if you plan on saying that a cut of meat is Prime Rib-you need to make sure you deliver Prime Rib to the table....it wasn't...sadly. It was thinly sliced flank/chuck...maybe rib eye. It belonged on a Philly cheesesteak sandwich. It also did not come out any other color but gray. There was also no horseradish spread, Mayo or cream sauce. I'm going to go out on a limb and say their Korean bbq sliders are made from the exact same meat. Side of chips are kettle cooked and from a bag-fine. Side of Mac and Cheese-the noodles were under al dente, which I get why, since they have to sit around in a warming station for the evening and will continue to cook-with that said...they were still a little crunchy. The service.......if you don't want to be at work, then why are you at an establishment that requires you to take care of the public. Bartender on duty seemed like a chill guy, he interacted with his customers and took care of their needs. We weren't in his section..sadly I would go back and have a beer-at the bar. Let's start with the bad: food was not good. Chips and salsa was pretty much Tostitos bagged chips with Mild Pace chunky salsa. Ok, so I dont know that for sure, but that's what they reminded me of. Even with Covid, there are certain expectations, such as good service, great taste, cold drinks, hot food. All were absent during our group of 6 visit at 12:30 on a Wednesday. Chips were straight out of a grocery store bag, and stale. Chicken taco was rubbery and chicken was definitely old. Cheese was so chilled on delivery to our table that it was congealed over the taco holder and not letting go. There was no "stretch" of warm cheese, just the "break off and chewy" cold kind of cheese. The waitress behaved as though we should be grateful she existed. She sat us down (we were the only people outside, with only two couples inside and four servers), and told us she'd be "right back" for our drink order. Meanwhile, she disappeared for 20 minutes, and the outdoor area filled with two other groups in addition to ours, and two other servers/hostess managing their seating. Service did come relatively fast, but make no mistake; this is bar food, and generally very fast to deliver. Except it was cool. All of it. Everyone in our group commented on the cooled food, breaking cheese, and stale nature of what came in the food. I am certain I was eating chicken cooked earlier in the week and microwaved this morning. I've eaten enough of my own "old" meat to know the rubber texture of microwaved food. Cost is ridiculously high for this junkfood. Go 50' further as we did. We discovered two other eateries just a few steps away that were happy to have us every day and evening at lunch and dinner for the remainder of our business stay in Lakeland. read more

A good experience while in Lakeland. The two times we went in we were served by a knowledgable bar tender named David. Great guy and provided awesome customer service. He made some really good recommendations based on my beer preferences. The 2nd night we were there we ordered some snacks. The pretzels with Sam Adams cheese dip, chicken soft taco and Mexican chicken flatbread. Everyone loved the pretzels and soft tacos, but the consensus was a skip on the Mexican flatbread. They had a live band on stage Saturday night and he played some great songs. Only recommendation is they should highlight all the great local breweries from Tampa on a separate menu. Only reason it got 4 in stead of 5 stars is because their menus are not up to date and they only have one selection of Munchies ie pretzels. After having them multiple times it gets boring. But the place has a great atmosphere and I like how they will pay you to drink! Oh one other thing that could make it better is if they knew what sporting events where current and on at the time being. Seems like they never change the channels or put any good games on that may be on other channels. You always have to ask.....
