Ate here with my son last Friday night. When we arrived there was no one waiting and 4 empty 4 top tables scattered around the room. We were made to wait 15 minutes for a table. When we got our table it was a table for 2 people in the corner. Literally. Not a good way to start. The salad bar was very good. Fresh and had a good variety. Soup was very good. This cones with every meal. My son ordered grilled catfish and said it was very good. I ordered the sirloin trimmings. I was not impressed. Of course I should have none better. I met one of the owners at a wedding last night and he told me about his restaurant. He made a recommendation for the KC steak. I decided to take my family for lunch today. The restaurant itself was so spacious and clean. I appreciated seeing that. We were greeted and seated immediately and not long after we had a server come to our table. We left her know it was our first time and she was very excited for us. lol she was friendly and informative. We ordered the jalapeño poppers. They were good, the only thing that was not good was the seasoning on top. Because the bacon is already salty, the seasoning made them TOO salty. I only ate two but my husband had the rest. He loved them! The KC steak comes out and it's just a delicious mountain of meat!! I was like "there's no way this is good steak to be giving this size portions". WRONG. IT WAS DELICIOUS! So tender!!!! Sides were so good and the salad bar was also a great addition! Oh my gosh I hope they stay around forever because we just enjoyed the heck out of our lunch! The soup and salad bar was a nice surprise which came with all of our dinners. My partner had the steak trimmings, and I had the 8 ounce steak. Prices were great! Our waitress warned us that the chefs tend to overcook the meat so we ordered one type rarer than usual. My partner ordered his trimmings rare and I ordered my steak medium rare. However, they both came out pretty close to well done. We did not return them and ate them , yet it was definitely a disappointment. We actually really enjoy Beefmaster! It's locally owned and that is a big deal for our family, the staff are extremely friendly and helpful and the food is great! They have a salad bar, it's nothing fancy BUT it's a salad bar! It reminds me of the steakhouses of my youth...when we used to go out for a simple meal and a good time. They have a hamburger steak that is off the chain! The hamburger is incredibly tasty! The catfish is perfectly cooked and the size of a whale! We reserved the patio at Beefmaster Steakhouse for a couples/wedding shower and had the best event and experience! We did a mimosa bar, tub of beer and appetizer table. The food was great! There was around 60+ guests and everyone said they had the best time. Service was outstanding! We were able to book Big Joe for live entertainment through the restaurant. He was so great too! Well lit, family atmosphere and wonderful service provided by Gracie. Live music kicked off as we wrapped up our supper. Fried mushrooms light and crispy, fried cheese crispy and melty, fried onion rings flavorful and lightly breaded with the perfect crisp exterior. Okay this place is EVERYTHING! It is the true definition of a hidden gem. It's right down the street from the courthouse in Weatherford but there is no visible sign on the street and it just looks like a warehouse. But OMG. The food! *chefs kiss* It is amazing. Between all of us in the party, we had ordered everything from mixed drinks and Beefmaster combo appetizer to the patty melt and KC Steak. And everything, except for the baked potato soup, was great. So this is second time we have eaten here and 1st time food was good and an excellent salad bar ,but yesterday it was such a disappointment. The salad bar you had to scrap the bottom of the containers on lettuce and other items and when back to get seconds it was the same , the soup was cold the steak was so tough you couldn't eat it and the baked potato was cold . Another thing when you cut a baked potato to put on someone's plate you take it out of the foil as when you cut it the foul pieces get mixed in potato. Bad for a person ... Every at BEEFMASTERS is fresh and good! The Fried Cheese Sticks are battered in house and are amazing! Sometimes I just eat those for my meal, the appetizers portion is generous. The Chicken Strips are juicy and very tender. They have a salad bar with many choices and the make their dressings in house. The steaks, hands down, they know what they are doing. Last minute late lunch at Beefmaster Steakhouse with the hubs and .... O M Gee ... I'm so glad we wandered into this place! Food and drinks = amazing. But what made the lunch stellar was our PHENOMENAL server Shelby! She has the best personality and just a wonderful kind person. We can't wait to go back to this restaurant and enjoy another great meal and drink. We are also planning on taking advantage of sitting out in the enclosed area and listen to some music on either a Thursday or Saturday night. It proceeded downhill at a rapid pace from there on out! Apparently they forgot the part about heat em a little bit, because they were barely warm when they finally arrived, but there was enough grease present to confirm the fact that they did at least dunk em into the deep fryer for a 2nd time. I was really hungry for a steak until the appetizer story. So glad I didn't risk it. the mush they served under the guise of "catfish" defies any description that could be put into print.
