This was my second experience at a dealership (the first being Larry H Miller Used Cars - which was a horrible experience), fourth time car buying, first time taking out a loan and investing more than $3000 in a car. I found one within my budget, drove it, and loved it - 2009 Ford Focus with 56,000 miles. It had a salvage title, which I did not know about until I was in the process of purchasing it. The Car Fax showed that the airbags had gone off, leading to the salvage title. I was reassured that everything had been repaired to factory standard (by a third party). The day after purchase I took it through the car wash and found that it had a small leak by the door. I took it to Chris' Auto Body in Murray to have them replace the rubber trim by the door. As they undid the trim (in front of me), we found that the car frame was partially collapsed and had not been correctly repaired. This car had been in a serious accident, much more than the airbags going off. With the passenger door shut, there was a one inch gap. It should have been sealed completely. If I had been hit while in that vehicle, the car would crumble in a way that would have caused death. This was really upsetting to me because I take care of my grandma and she is often with while I drive. Upon further inspection we also found that the airbags were still defective. It should have not passed safety (Beehive Auto does their own safety and emissions). I do not trust the mechanics that work at Beehive Auto. The third party that repaired this car did poorly and did not care about the safety of the next owner. **Before buying a car please take it to a second mechanic and auto body shop for an opinion. Many places will inspect a potential car for free.** I made the mistake of not doing this until afterwards. I immediately took the car back to Beehive and explained what we had found. (I had the car two days). They didn't seem too concerned about the frame damage, commenting that the body shop was only looking to make money. However, they happily offered to switch it for another vehicle. I found one that I loved even more, but it was also $2,000 more expensive - 2011 Ford Fiesta with 44,000 miles and a clean title. I took it to the mechanic and auto body shop. It was 1000000% better than the last one. I will never buy a salvaged car again and I highly recommend no one else does either. Keep in mind that along with the price of the car you will have to pay for the following: Sales Tax (mine was $636.98) Dealer Doc Fee ($399), License and Registration ($72.75), Inspection Fee ($45), Filing Fee ($12), Uniform Fee ($110), and possibly other fees. I did not get the warranty that was offered - but it would have been over $700. The tax and the fees added $1300 to the overall price. The people that work here are nice. Julio, the dealer that sold me the bad car and let me switch for the better car, was understanding and always answered his cell when I called - even when he was on lunch. This past week I felt like I was always bugging him, but he never once seemed agitated or annoyed with me. Overall it was one of the most stressful experiences I've ever had, but now that it is all over I am thrilled with my new car. My family also loves it! No matter where you go to buy a car, make sure you always get two or three more opinions from family, friends, and other professionals before signing away. Dealers are not mechanics or auto body experts. Mechanics are not dealers. In the end you are trusting strangers to sell you a car that will work, not break down, or kill you. read more

I paid $11,000 for a 2004 Subaru WRX. Within less than 3 months and 3,800 miles, the engine blew and the radiator went out. This was a $7,000 repair bill which I couldn't afford. I had to borrow the money from my elderly patents. The next month, the clutch went out which was another $1,800 repair bill. Now I have $20,000 invested in a 10-year old car. I'm a widow and can't afford to be screwed over by sleazy used car dealers. I took it to small claims court and sued on the implied warranty principal. Apparently I signed something saying I accepted the car as-is so the judge found in favor of the jerks who screwed me. Don't buy from Beehive Auto. They profited off of selling me a defective auto. They have no sense of fairness or standing behind their product. read more

They never told me it had a branded title. I was pissed off to find out later when I tried to sell it. I even had a mechanic inspect it before I bought it and he didn't notice anything. Then I found out dealerships aren't legally obligated to tell you it's a branded title. The carfax I pulled up at the time said it was a clean title with no accidents, but Beehive knew better and didn't say anything. Now when you pull it up it shows that it was listed as branded when Beehive bought it at the auction. Unethical. read more

Skip to the bottom (BOTTOM LINE & MY ADVICE) if you'd like to see my opinion and advice. MY STORY Beehive seemed like a pretty promising place to purchase a new vehicle. Friendly, family-driven salespeople and owners, personable and seemed honest about the vehicles they have on the lot. I was mistaken in my perception. They had a vehicle that I wanted - the make and model matched, everything was great. I went to look at the car, was told there were no known problems with it, that it drives great. I took the vehicle on a test drive, doing what I felt I could reasonably do myself on a test drive to make a good purchase decision. It appeared to me, from that initial look, that the car was in good shape. It drove well, produced no odd sounds, nor any weird hiccups that would lead me to believe there were (or would be) problems. I purchased the car - at the Kelley Blue Book Value. Beehive Auto WILL NOT negotiate prices. The prices they list are the prices they sell at. Plus a non-negotiable dealer fee, as well as taxes. When all was said and done, the check I made out to the dealership was $1,000 more than the cost the vehicle was listed at (Listed price online was $6,995, The check I paid was $8,035) FIVE DAYS after driving the car off the lot, the transmission fell completely apart in the car. I had driven the car maybe 100 miles since purchase. After taking the car to a shop to get checked out, I was told that there was JB Weld (essentially an epoxy for metal) holding the transmission together. The mechanics said it looked like a 'patch job' of some sort. Along with that, mounts and an axle were also broken. Beehive, of course, claims that they would never patch together a car enough that they could just get it sold. They said their mechanic is incredibly trustworthy and worked for Larry H Miller for many years (in the same conversation they badmouthed the same dealership). I asked if they had done an inspection on the car before selling - to know if anything was wrong with it (I wanted to know if they were aware that the vehicle they sold to me was in bad shape). They said that 'all we can do is put it up on jacks and check for leaks - about what ANYONE can do.' They told me they purchased the vehicle at auction and don't know what the previous owner had done to it, but because they sold it to me As-Is, they couldn't help me out with the repair of a transmission, unless I went to their mechanic (so that they could get me a really good price). Of course, I refused to use the mechanic that, upon initial inspection of the vehicle, either 1) saw a problem with the vehicle, and applied a quick patch to the vehicle to get it sold, 2) saw a bad patch job on the vehicle and refused to disclose the fact that it was there, 3) didn't performan a thorough-enough inspection of the car to see bad mounts, broken axle, and a poorly-patched transmission, or 4) thought that such a shoddy patch job would be fine. All in all, I was stuck because I bought the car as-is, with no warranty. I put over 2 thousand dollars worth of quality repair work into the vehicle so that it works now. However, total, it means I've payed more than $3,000 above the value of this vehicle, because of the mistake of purchasing it at Beehive Auto. BOTTOM LINE: They don't know the quality of their vehicles (or will hide it from you if they know they're bad). Once you write them a check, they don't care about you anymore. They're non-negotiable, and they tack on a lot more cost than they should. MY ADVICE TO BUYERS: You might as well buy a car from a private seller on Craigslist, eBay, KSL, or the like. At least that way, you know the previous owner, they'll probably be more honest with you, you won't have to tack on any extra fees, and the quality of service once you drive away will be the same it would be here at Beehive anyway. read more

They sold me a car in 2007 and showed me a carfax with no accident on it. I went to go trade in my car to buy this new one and found out that 60 days before I bought it, it was in an accident and airbags were deployed! They must have photoshopped the carfax just to sell it to me! They are horrible people when I called to see if they would make it right the manager told me that I was a liar because "they don't do that". When I went there I was a single mother, my son was 3, they screwed me on purpose. I believe they saw a single mother that needed a car and thought sucker! I will never go there again!! read more

I really appreciate the service at Beehive auto I don't really have good credit and a repossession on my record and they were still willing to work with me at a reasonable price that was comfortable for me. In March, I bought a 2010 Nissan Sentra with 65,000 miles on it. First, the electronic key for the car didn't even work (which should have been the first sign) second, I was convinced to buy the "all encompassing warranty." 3 months later, my clutch, fuel pump, and rotors all need to be replaced. The warranty does not cover any of it. I was sold a lemon. I will never buy anything from Beehive Auto again. read more

I was looking for a vehicle that's good in the snow for my teenage daughter. Wanting to protect her it had to been a reliable vehicle within a budget so I came in to look at a Nissan. In the past I had a Nissan Quest, Xterra and an Armada. Sale personal Don said that his family and extended family all drive Toyota for its reliability; even he drives a Toyota. He introduced me to a 2004 Toyota 4Runner with over 150,000 miles. Being 10 years old and with so many miles the price was well within my budget; but is it reliable? I told him that my brother in-law is a mechanic and asked if I could take it to him; with no hesitation he said yes. After a full test my brother in-law said it needed brakes, rotors and that the seal on the transmission pan may need to be replaced. He said these things are minor and that the 4Runner is very clean especially for the mileage. When I told him what Don was selling it for he said buy it; he even told me he would buy it if I don't. I went back and quickly paid Don's price. Don replaced the brakes and rotors. He told me if I see any transmission leak on the driveway he will replace the seal. I drove the car home and it ran smooth; more so then any Nissan I've owned. My daughter and her friends went crazy for the car and I think I spoiled her with this Toyota. I want a Toyota now and so does my wife after driving it. If Don gets a Sequoia I'll trade in the Armada; he made an easy return customer out of me along with referral to friends and family. read more
