What a treat to have a nice vegan lunch at beerline. We stumbled on beerline while checking out some antiques up the street. The staff was really humble and kind. The food was excellent! I had the Ethiopian Lentil Wrap which i really enjoyed. Nachos ( solid) , then had to try the Cinnamon Roll Pancakes ( was not a fan of ). over all excellent choice!

Been here several times before and have had good experiences. It's a great location, just down the street from Lakefront Brewery. There is a nice patio out front, a perfect spot on a warm day. Inside there is plenty of seating for different sized groups. They have a massive plant wall that gives it a bit of a tropical feel. Came with a friend for breakfast today. Plenty of windows bring in loads of natural light. Their menu has quite a few breakfast items, and many of them can be vegetarian. There were a few other people eating inside, and the noise was very subdued. Got a friendly greeting and help with our orders. Wanted to get a couple of hot beverages, but their machine was down. No coffee, no chai latte, and not even a hot chocolate to be had -- very sad! We decided on waters. For food, we ordered the Breakfast Wrap (with avocado) and the Chickpea Chorizo Tacos. It took a few minutes for the food to come out. When it did, it was well presented, hot, very tasty, and good sized portions. We each loved what we had and would definitely order this again. A great place for breakfast. Prices are reasonable and a good value considering the quality and serving size. Hope they get their coffee machine fixed soon!

One of my fav go-to spots for vegan food and healthy cuisine. The loaded nachos with cashew cheese is one of my top items but I like their crepes. It's a consistent staff and they're all nice. It's a cute interior where you can have light conversation or do some work. Hidden gem.

For my first visit at Beerline Cafe, I had a so-so experience. I was hoping to order the Strawberries and Cream Crepe, but when we arrived around 10 a.m. they were already sold out. So, I went with the Lemon Poppy Seed and Blueberry Crepe -- it was just alright. It was so heavily saturated in lemon curd and a blueberry syrup that it was essentially glued to my plate, making it difficult to cut. After a few bites, I decided not to finish it since it was far too sugary for my taste. For a beverage, I went with an Iced Matcha Latte with Oat Milk. It was really quite tasty, but halfway through drinking it I did spot a hair floating in the drink, so I set it aside. My dining companion opted for the Classic Breakfast Crepe with Egg and Vegan Cheese and Avocado. He enjoyed most of it, but the vegan protein that was included wasn't to his taste, so he didn't finish his meal. He did note that the Cold Brew was good. Service was fine, albeit a tad slow considering it wasn't too busy. The patio outside was absolutely lovely, though. After tip, we spent around $40 for our breakfast. Considering how neither of us finished it, I don't think it was worth that price. However, I do plan on returning to Beerline Cafe. It's been recommended to me numerous times, so it could be that I just ordered the wrong item.

Not pictured vegan grilled cheese with tofu ham!! I give it a 6/10, the tofu ham was pretty salty and almost overpowered the sandwich itself but besides that it was pretty good!! I got the strawberry turmeric lemonade and was sad I got the smaller size after realizing it was sooo tasty! This is a great spot for vegan options, though limited if you have a tree nut allergy because of the cashew based dishes. Super cute inside with lots of greenery and local artists featured! Very intimate seating but great lighting cause of the windows. Definitely a nice spot to grab food with a friend! Staff are great too, sooo friendly and helpful!! Will be coming back for sute!

Greek Salad, comes with vegan feta, add that tofu. It's fantastic.

This is a good spot man. We're visiting in preparation to move and we went two days in a row. The first day I had the buffalo Mac and chickpea chorizo tacos, my partner got the hash brown Benedict. All of it was great. Today I had the Greek salad and it's perfect, add the tofu chicken. That tofu chicken is real good. It's listed as vegetarian with vegan options but a lot of stuff is just vegan as listed on the menu and they make it really easy to find and see what's what. Thank you for existing.

From the ambience to the delectable eats, Beerline offers a variety of unique menu items that cater to the veggie/gluten crowd. While it was hard to choose, we settled for the fromage and cinnamon roll pancakes. The fromage was gooey, fresh, and flavorful. The pancakes were sweet and had the perfect balance of cinnamon and sugar. We paired this with the smoothies, which were fresh and yummy! The signature mimosa was absolutely delicious too. The staff were warm and inviting, and the service was quick. The inside was beautiful, inviting to all, and very clean. Definitely a must-stop-spot in mke!

Beerline Cafe has recently become our favorite. The chickpea chorizo tacos are spicy and I love that they use corn tortillas. Their mushroom barley burger doesn't taste too mushroomy like the texture is great not too chewy. I also loveee their specials. I had to get their vegan crunchwrap because miss taco bell but the sour cream and cheese is too much. It was a little burnt but the inside still tasted good. On a different time I got the Gyro with mushrooms and the lemon hummus with the mint was so tasty. I also tried their banana split icecream shake. I miss eating those! It was like drinking nostalgia from a shake. The area is also really cute with the leaves hanging.

Here in Milwaukee on vacation and found this place on Yelp. Glad we came over here, the food is delicious! Most things can be made vegan which is great. I had the Mexican crepe, vegan style with added avocado and black beans. It was fantastic and filling. The side of rosemary potatoes were crispy and well seasoned. My husband really enjoyed his crepe suzette and yogurt. The cafe is very warm and welcoming. Quite busy yet didn't seem too impossible to get a table.

I commend Beerline for their chorizo chickpea tacos. These were hot and delicious, well plated and well constructed by a competent employee. The dessert crepe was also very good, although i may recommend that the syrup glaze is *too* sweet for refined tastes. Unfortunately I cannot give a 5 star because the strawberry turmeric lemonade is *undrinkable*. The sweetness renders it illness inducing in any metabolically content human being

We made the quick drive into Milwaukee from Illinois on a recent trip, and decided to stop by Beerline Cafe based on a YouTube recommendation having been our first time to the city. You place your order in the front and can chose any seating option either inside or outside the cafe. There were plenty of seats available when we arrived The wait on a Sunday around brunch time was pretty long given what we ordered, two classic crepes. The ambiance, greenery and outdoor seating options make it a very welcoming and low key breakfast place. Once we got the Classic Breakfasts Crepes nearly 45 minutes later, we were pretty underwhelmed. The tempeh bacon had no flavors/textures that would be reminiscent of the actual thing. The texture of the crepe was a bit weird (crispy in some areas) and the overall stuffing dry and not very filling. Honestly wanted to rate this place higher, and maybe I'll give them another try next time in town. I will say their Ginger Turmeric Citrus drink had the right amount of kick and tasted very healthy. Drinks were my favorite this time. Price: 4.5/5 Flavor: 3/5 Value: 3.5/5

Fucking love this place…read more If there is a highly rated small plates place in a location we are visiting, you can count on us to find it. We walked literally thirty minutes to this place from our hotel. It was a lovely walk in early August. We had a 5:45pm reservation on a Thursday (we are old now) and we were seated immediately. Service was excellent. Ok so they have a fantastic cocktail menu. I appreciate any cocktail menu that is more complex than vodka and cranberry juice but this takes it to another level of creativity. I also like how they name them with numbers. It's so much easier to say "I'll have a 42" rather than "I will have a duperbeamerscicle". I started with an "88" with pisco, rose-poached strawberry, amontillado sherry, verjus, rose port, and pink peppercorn. Served in a highball glass and garnished with berries. Very refreshing. GF started with the "91" mezcal, passion fruit, poblano, pineapple, amaro, lime. Gorgeous and chic. Very strong, smoky flavor. When in Rome, so the cheese plate did not feel like an option. Four fantastic cheeses were served with very tasty candied nuts, some jam business, grapes, and some of the best bread I have had on a cheese plate. Thick, soft, and fluffy. Paired absolutely perfectly with cheese. Only complaint is that I wish there was more of it. I haven't had deviled eggs in a minute so I went wild and also had the chili crisp deviled eggs which were SPECTACULAR. I also got the Egyptian fried cauliflower which is served on a smear of harissa and lemon tahini. Very flavorful. Star of the show tbh was the tagliatelle with squash, tomato, these fried cheese crisps. The noodles were al dente and SO GOOD in such a wonderful sauce. GF also got the steak, she says "very good seasoning". I helped her out with the kimchi pancake. Wonderful. Such a great sauce. For our second round of dranks we both went with the "77" makrut lime vodka, tamarind, bird's eye chili, cilantro, lime, lemongrass. Very tamarind forward. Very unique. I can see why it's our server's favorite drink on the menu. The desserts looked really good (something with sticky rice I think it was a cocktail and a bread budding that looked fantastic) but we just weren't feeling it.

Our bartender was incredibly friendly, charismatic, and genuinely passionate about the menu. He took the time to explain dishes, offered thoughtful recommendations, and made the entire experience even more enjoyable. Every dish we ordered was outstanding. The deviled eggs were easily our favorite and are an absolute must-order. We also loved the flatbread with fiddleheads, which featured a delicious curry-inspired flavor that reminded us of an Indian dish. My husband couldn't stop talking about the bread pudding and said it was one of the best desserts he's had. Everything we tried was beautifully prepared and full of flavor. If we lived in Milwaukee, Odd Duck would absolutely become one of our regular spots. We can't wait to come back the next time we're in town.

I wanted to support my vegan brothers and sisters and, having being on the road (actually on Amtrak, so rails, really) for a while, I was craving some protein. Following the advice of the friendly staff members, I opted for an order of "Drummies" (Dazed & Confused) to maximize my protein intake. I ended up eating it in the restaurant and thought the vegan drumsticks were delicious with the two homemade sauces provided (ranch and chili). This dish is pricier than most of the others ($15, compared to a more reasonable $4 for fries or $10 for vegan mozzarella sticks) but memorable. The place could do with a few tweaks in terms of décor/atmosphere but the friendly staff helped make it a nice experience. I'm also rating the Twisted Plants 4.5 out of 5 Green Stars for social and environmental impact, based on the following: * Everything on the menu - savory food and pastries - is vegan. * Most of the food packaging is compostable. * Staff members are happy to tell you what's in your food. The drummies that I ordered are from Lily's Vegan Pantry - made in Taiwan from soy and seasoning (no palm oil). * Cookies are from local vegan entrepreneur, Bunny's Bite. * It fills a useful niche of craveable vegan (elevated) fast food. Next time I want to try the Crispy Chik'n Salad (made with organic greens) as it's one of those dishes I never tried before I went veggie.

They had a wide variety of gain bowls, salads and wraps to choose from and they all looked good. I ended up choosing the Asian BBQ grain bowl and a hibiscus tepache to drink. Let me start by saying, I did not realize how big the grain bowls were. They are big enough for either two people to share or for one very hungry person. I could not eat it all because the portion size we just huge. The bowl had so much flavor and a little kick of spice--just enough from the poblanos to make it a tad spicy but not so much your mouth was burning. The BBQ sauce melded with the grain well too and added a little bit of sweetness to the bowl. Overall, the bowl was great and I would definitely order another one or try some of their other options as well. The tepache tasted similar to kombucha if you have never had once. This was my first time trying it so that was the only thing I could relate it too.
