Brandon, Matt, Jamal and the rest of the crew over at Bee's Moving made my move on 8/31 and 9/1/09 very easy and even enjoyable. Like many others who have reviewed Bee's, I had never used a moving company before, and being close to the BU campus, I knew that my move would be absolutely horrendous if I really tried to do it myself. I had no choice, and so with a prayer I called Brandon. Since Bee's is a new company, I was nervous about its legitimacy, but Brandon provided me with a scanned copy of the company's bill of lading and spoke with me multiple times, both on the phone and through Gmail Chat (a first!), to confirm times for pick up and delivery. The rate he quoted me on the phone at first was reasonable itself, but in the end he lowered the overall cost for me again, which of course I didn't mind. I have leather couches, and unfortunately Bee's did put a small rip on the surface of the smaller couch. Fixing this minor damage would cost no more than $15 for the materials, plus a few minutes to patch it up. Instead of doing this, and also because the company was SLAMMED with jobs, Brandon came by personally with a check for $100, just as a way of apologizing. This level of customer service is absolutely unprecedented. The best part was that these guys actually cared about my furniture. They took their time wrapping it all up and moving it -- unlike some other companies I've heard of just come in to do the job, get their money and get out. But at the same time, no one on the job was past 30, and so there was definitely a fun and friendly vibe they brought with them. I played music for them as they moved stuff out, and they asked me questions about myself, what I do and when my girl and I are going to get married. It felt less like a moving company doing my work for me and more like a bunch of friends coming over to help me out. My experience with Bee's was fantastic, and whenever I move again (which hopefully will not be anytime soon, I'm sick of moving right now!), I will definitely be giving Brandon & Co. a call again. Review: Five Stars! Bees Movers are a treasure. They were my salvation during my horrendously complicated multi-part move from Boston to New York with a 3 month interim move to another town. I'm writing this review one year after the actual events, but since they are still storing items for me, I have frequent communication with them and have been up to their impeccable storage facility in Brighton where they occasionally help me locate and retrieve things I need. Not only was Bees accurate in their estimates of time and price but when I did initial comparative shopping, they were favorable low. As a widow finally making the big move, I listed my huge old house and shockingly sold it within 4 days. The details of the 8 awful weeks I had to clear out are a blur, but the last two 10 hour days when Bees provided three wonderful men to pack up all I hadn't gotten to are crystal clear. And moving day loading two trucks (one going to storage and one to my temporary housing) was long but amazingly smooth and efficient. Three months later, Bees brought down to NYC those pre-selected items, moved them in and set them up with great care not to damage the newly varnished floors and painted walls. Two weeks later after unpacking and taking stock of what I had, I realized three small items had remained behind. When I called, Matthew sorted through the storage unit, found the wrapped items (which I had mislabeled) and brought them all the way down to the city, charging only for the gasoline and driving time. My wife and I moved from a 4th floor very steep walk up (63 steps not including the steps from the street to the front door) to our current suburban abode we struggled going with mover's we didn't know. The people we had used previously were completely booked. Ultimately based on reviews on Yelp we went with Bee's. We were completely satisfied with the service we received. It took less time than the original estimate and I noted that the movers were working pretty efficiently. They weren't as fast as the other movers we used to move in but they also were about 40% less per hour. The guys that came were cordial and asked us all her right questions concerning the move. They were able to call for help in the beginning because everybody underestimates the stairs, but we still were billed at the agreed upon rate, We even ended up with 20 or so more boxes than we originally put in the estimate and they still came in underbudget. The reservation process was a little nerve-wracking for me because after I got the PayPal notification I expected some sort of phone or email confirmation directly from the company which I didn't get. I have heard horror stories of movers just not showing up which a little more contact from the company directly could help address my fears in that regard. I did call Brandon and he was responsive after I called, so this is a minor complaint I would, without hesitation, use Bee's again and recommend them to anyone looking for quality mover with a very competitive price. read more

We used Bees Movers twice in the last year, first to move into our new house, and then to make the final move out of our old house after it was sold. In both cases they were professional, friendly, efficient and a pleasure to work with. The first time, they moved most of our furniture from our old house to our new one. The move was easy and well-organized. They took wonderful care of all of our stuff, and did magic maneuvering some of the furniture out (it had come in before we rebuilt several areas). The second time was an emergency. The closing on our old house was set for the Monday after Thanksgiving. Plus, we had 18 people coming for Thanksgiving dinner on Friday at 2 pm. Our plan had been to clear out the old house the Wednesday before Thanksgiving, have the next day to get re-organized, and be ready to greet our kids and their kids on Friday. We had found another very cheap company. They didn't show! We absolutely had to clear the house in order to close. We also needed the couch, chairs (left behind to stage the house), and several boxes of dishes to feed our huge extended stepfamily.. In a total panic, I called Bees late on the Wed afternoon before Thanksgiving. Not only did someone answer, but they found us a crew to do the deed early on the Friday morning. Bee's Moving is the best! We called them only 2 weeks before we wanted to move and they fit us into their schedule. They were prompt in arriving and very profesional, confirming the terms before starting - delivery address, hourly rate and extra charges. I can't say enough good things about Brandon and Matt. They were very friendly and polite, efficient and competent, wrapping everything to protect against breakage and damage. I was very nervous about the move and they put me at ease, talking to me as they worked. I wasn't sure whether the furniture would fit through the doors at the final location, but they assured me that they would do all they could to get the furniture in where I wanted it - and they did with such ease and speed. I was so impressed. They were especially patient when, after moving half of the furniture into one area, they had to wait while I moved the pets out of the room that the remaining furniture was to go in. And then when we didn't like the way some of the furniture just moved in looked, they were happy to move it around again. Brandon and Matt were extremely accomodating. They completed the move in less time than estimated. I will call them again next time I need anything moved - whether a small or large job. and last but not least, the price was right! ESTIMATE: This was my first time using movers who had their own truck and moving supplies. The estimate came out surprisingly close to what I would have paid to rent a truck myself and hire movers separately...once I factored in the logistics of picking up and dropping off a truck, it definitely became worth it to go with Bee's. PLANNING: I tend to over-plan things, so I would've preferred a little more email/phone contact concerning the minutiae, but to their credit, this was planned with less than a week to go, and they were very polite every time I did talk with them. TIMING: Their morning move took way longer than expected, but they called and gave a new and what proved to be very accurate estimated time of arrival. Because I still had a lot of packing to do (which, by the way, they will help you with for the same hourly rate), I was able to get a lot more done before they showed up. TRUCK: The loading process was a tad slow, but I realized they were wrapping everythingin blankets - this was a nice touch since my last couple moves took quite a toll on some of my things that weren't as well-protected. ALL in ALL: Moving is a pain in the a$$ for most people, and I have WAY more stuff than your typical nomadic apartment-dweller. Bee's made it a LOT simpler and smoother, and that was what I needed. Best moving company I ever hired! These guys really are the best. I called them a day and a half before the move and they came to my place early! How many moving companies are actually early? It was raining very hard all day and they took care of my furniture perfectly. They packaged everything up and there was no damage to anything I owned. They were there to work hard and to do anything possible for me. I respect that. Not only was their work-ethic unlike other moving companies, but they also generally cared about where I wanted everything to go. Also, they are extremely nice and respectful people. I was able to talk to everyone while they worked their ass off moving heavy furniture up 4 flights of stairs in the pouring rain! They assembled my bed frame and did anything I asked without questions or complaints. After being around these guys for a half hour, I called my sister and told her I have the best moving company for her when she moves. Very rarely am I ever satisfied with my service for anything, but I can honestly say that I was ecstatic with the work-ethic and treatment that Bee's Moving gave me. Hire these guys. Anthony, Randy and Matt hoisted our sofa via our 2nd floor porch and did an awesome job. Friendly, Professional and FAST. We did a ton of research to find the right movers that would do it at a reasonable price that would also insure the our sofa and must say, we made the RIGHT decision!!! They didn't damage any of our walls, even put furniture pads on the bottom of our sofa's legs to make it easier to move around for our own use since we didn't know where we wanted it and to prevent it from scratching our floors. We could have gone the craigslist route and get someone to do it for a hundred bucks cheaper but didn't want to risk the sofa getting damaged and not having coverage for it. These 3 guys called before hand, was responsive and down right nice and thorough. They aren't the cheapest, but aren't the most expensive and an all around great deal!!! I had a great experience with Bee's Moving. They were the only company (out of about 10 I tried) that agreed to help me move at very short notice (3 days) during a busy time of year. The guys were extremely friendly and professional. They wrapped the furniture and handled it so carefully there wasn't even a single scratch, took the bed apart and put it back together in no time, and never even turned a box upside down. When faced with a choice between walking up 4 flights of stairs or taking a VERY sketchy elevator, they didn't utter a single word of complaint. They even let me ride in the truck, although it was only a 15 minute walk from the old place to the new. I didn't have much stuff, but was still amazed that the whole process took less than 2 hours. I had always moved by myself up to that point, and this felt like entering Heaven after being in Hell for 12 years! The people at the office were also very courteous and helpful, always picking up the phone and replying to emails right away (most other companies I called never even picked up or responded to my voice mail messages). Bee's Moving is awesome!!!! I've used Bee's Moving twice in the past year for long distance moves (interstate moves, NYC-Boston). The first time went so well that I decided to use them again. There are a lot of moving parts with moves such as these, so I went into them prepared that some things would not go as planned. However, the guys at Bee's always found a way to make it work and made me feel as comfortable as possible and more importantly, stress-free. For instance, on the first move I was on a time crunch and even though I only paid for two movers, on both ends I had at least 3 people helping me move and at one point 4! Another example was that due to traffic, I arrived to my storage unit after it had closed. Bee's moving stored my items over night, free of charge, so I could finish the move the following day when the storage unit was opened. There were many other smaller instances that put Bee's above and beyond the competition. It is this type of flexibility (and no hidden charges!) that every moving company should emulate. So my wife and I hired Bee's moving to move our stuff from Waltham to Woburn this past week. I provided them with an inventory list of our junk and they responded (quickly) with an estimate. They were very clear that this was only an estimate but it should be close. They stated they would be there between 8:30am and 9:30am and that it would take about 5 hours. They pull in to our house at 9:00am (perfect). Two guys get out and proceed to load the truck with our stuff in the fastest manner possible! They were amazing! They had our entire apartment loaded in 2 hours! They did not stop the entire time they were there. They then drove our stuff to the new place and proceeded to repeat the same service; friendly, accommodating and FAST! Everything that we requested they did with a smile. By the end of the day the whole project took them one truck, one trip, two guys, 4.75 hours and about $40 less than the original quote! Bee's Moving was fantastic! We were looking to move the weekend before September 1 which, as you all know, is insane. Bee's Moving was the least expensive company we found and the only one who responded to our calls and emails. I've never used a moving company before but Bee's was so quick and efficient I will never go back to moving myself. They arrived on time and worked very hard and very fast to move our large apartment full of boxes and furniture from Brighton to JP. They were very friendly and incredibly gentle with my belongings (nothing was damaged). Once in my new apartment they asked if there was anything else that I needed, moving things around or assembling Ikea furniture. We had a car that we used to take some personal items over to the new apartment and Bee's even unpacked the car. I was completely relaxed and in a great mood on moving day (something that has NEVER happened) and it is all thanks to the guys at Bee's Moving. They put me at ease and were all around wonderful guys and wonderful movers! read more

I move a lot, so this is my second review simply because it's my second move with Bee's. This wasn't an easy move. I moved out of a second story walk-up and into a 6th floor elevator apartment. The move out went so fast. I didn't have anything particularly valuable, but Matt and Greg were exceptionally careful with my dishes, tv, and mattress. It started raining when we arrived to move in, and while I was a little stressed about everyone and everything being soaked, the movers were unphased. To complicate matters further, the elevator at my new building is the slowest of all time and pretty tiny too. Again, this was a non-issue for Matt and Greg who acted like the seasoned professionals they were. They could write their own expert movers handbook with detailed chapters on rainy days, slow elevators, and anxiety-ridden apartment dwellers. Their system was perfect. Everything was moved in dry, without a scratch, and completely intact. Good movers make such a difference during a really stressful transition. Thanks, Bee's! read more

Second time I have used these guys -and another 5 star performance. I have used good movers before (gentle giant,etc.) - but these guys take it to the next level. This time I needed them to get stuff from a rental - then drive to my new house with that stuff and unpack two pods. They are incredibly flexible in terms of what needs to happen to make your move work. They had unscrewed a chair leg from a chair/ottoman set when they packed the pod - and one disappeared. Brandon had 6 more ordered that nite, - so they would all match, with constant email communication to make sure what I liked, and follow up on the delivery day to make sure they arrived. These guys want every customer to be happy - and I can't imagine they aren't. Careful, friendly, fun and professional. Great prices to boot. Also folks out there looking, they work outside the Boston area, I had them out in Central mass - so don't limit your thinking in terms of selecting them. read more

These guys are amazing. They were extremely professional and knew what they were doing. It's refreshing to not stress during a move. Usually I watch the movers and anticipate a least one of my pieces of furniture to come out with battle wounds. Not this time, after the first half hour, I realized that I had nothing to worry about and relaxed on the patio while they packed the truck (in record time!). When they finished - ahead of schedule - everything was in place and looked wonderful. This alone would have merited 4 stars, but I gave 5 because not only were they hard workers, but they were also fun to banter with and seemed to be having a good time, which is important. If the movers are stressing or seem unhappy, it just puts a cloud over the process. I can't recommend them enough. Good job guys! NOTE: They disassembled and reassembled my IKEA furniture to make the move faster and condense it in one trip, which was great. read more

Outstanding, punctual, phenomal amd dedicated are just a few descriptions out of many to describe the men that represented Bees Moving. I contacted the company last minute for a prettu involved move. I had several heavy items to move and I underestimated how many things I thought I had to move. they accomodated me amd moved all items I needed with no hesitation. They did it fast and without error. My items were never damaged in the process, it was handled with care and wrapped very well. Although my couch set was heavy and difficult to move, they maintained a good attitude and did it gracefully. I could write a novel on how impressed I was at the service I received and even more about the high caliber of professionalism maintained. They moved so fast I felt like I had a 4.man crew but I only had 2 awesome guys. Bottom line, I would definitely use there services again and will refer amd recommend to anyone looking to make a move. read more

My moving experience today was excellent! I've moved a handful of times and each time with a different moving company. Bee's is the first moving company whose personnel showed up on time - even 5 minutes early! Brandon and Hugo were the movers. Brandon is one of the founders. (I'm not sure if Hugo is a founder as well.) Brandon and Hugo were professional and friendly ... and kept the atmosphere relaxed, but efficient. They are definitely experienced in handling furniture as well as boxes and odd shaped items. They were strong, yet moved carefully - respecting my belongings and the walls -, quietly and smoothly. They did not delay ... but worked continuously for my 5 hr job. Their pricing was extremely competitive and fair; Brandon explained all upfront. An all around seamless experience from booking through move. I highly recommend Bee's and will definitely book again with them for my next move. read more
