We ran across the Barrington location and thought it was interesting that they had no dining room or to go menus. However, their online menu looked like they served things we would like to eat. We finally ordered it to be delivered. I got the chicken Panang curry and my husband got the chicken teriyaki. They were both delicious! The vegetables were cooked perfectly. The chicken was lean, nice pieces of white meat. The sauces were flavorful and not overly spicy (although you clearly have the option of getting it very very spicy if you'd like). There are several other things on their menu that I would like to try and we will definitely be ordering again. I did see some comments on the serving sizes. While they are smaller than some other places, they are still more than a normal person can eat in one sitting. It's like a meal-prep box plus a cup of rice. It was Labor Day and we met up with some friends to have dinner - whoops it was closed. SOoo we ended up here. What a score that ended up being! queer o meter - uh. we were the only ones in there but Id say a solid 10, the staff was great. apps: vegetarian spring rolls, edamame and spicy wings. the rolls and edamame were as expected, and inline with most Thai restaurants. BUT LETS TALK ABOUT THE WINGS! packed full of heat, flavor and crispy. I almost got an order to take home. If i wasn't so full I would have. they were delightful - stuff I dream about. ha ha I got the tamarind duck. My fellow diners got yellow curry with chicken, fried pineapple rice, and red curry with crispy chicken and veggie pad Thai. I tried them all and they were all tasty. My duck was perfect. Not greasy, not over cooked, not soggy. I very rarely risk getting the duck outside of Golden Dragon at FW, but here is me being all crazy and out of the box! I'm glad I did. It was very very good. The veggies with it were so fresh and not over steamed (I like them with some crunch!! not soggy fyi) Side note: This is a BYOB place and lucky for us a very nice wine store in literally, NEXT DOOR. 10 feet away. Super quick and easy takeout. Online ordering is a breeze and your food is ready and waiting for you on a table when you get there. We found ourselves ordering from here fairly often during Covid just because it was so easy and the food was good. The fact that they are open on Monday when many other places are closed is also a bonus. I appreciate the wide variety of offerings and my husband likes that they aren't afraid to make things spicy. A word about the spice level - It's much higher here than other places. Unless you really like spicy food, do not ask for extra spice. I made the mistake of doing that once and it was barely edible. My tolerance level seems to be their "Medium Spicy" with no extra stars. I've always taken their spice level to mean that if you choose "Extra 1 star" it will be extra on top of whatever spice level it already is, not a 1 star spice level. Small place in a small plaza - blink and you'll miss it but food is good. Just look for Brickyard Wine and Spirits, it's in the same plaza. We came on a Friday night very hungry and looking for good Thai food - this place fit the bill. The place isn't anything fancy and is small but it wasn't busy so no wait on this rainy Friday night. We ordered chicken tom yum soup, seaweed salad, appetizer platter for 2, chicken pineapple fried rice and chicken yellow curry. Tom Yum soup was good, nice balance of sour and spicy (could've been spicier IMO) but broth was delicious. Seaweed salad came out warm, that was a first - I typically have it cold. Came on a heaping pile of spiraled carrots which surprisingly tasted good - it could've just been for garnish but we ate it, lol. Appetizer platter - we liked pretty much everything on there - a few we could do without were the chicken satay (bit bland) and fresh rolls (just ok). Sprill rolls were good and although they were super crispy, I liked the wings - had a nice flavor. Rice was good but I think it could've used a bit more curry powder. The yellow curry was delicious - great flavor with just enough kick to coat your palate. We enjoyed our meal and our waitress was very friendly and attentive. So pleased and impressed! We do have a very nice Thai restaurant in Bristol but we took the extra 10 minutes to try The Boss out for take-out tonight. So glad we did! Truly authentic balanced Thai flavors and with the right amount of heat for the spicy dishes. We got a diverse selection and everything was excellent and traveled well. I LOVE the basil Pad Thai - never had that before and it's got a unique kick to it! I'm always adding stuff to take out meals, finding many under seasoned or not the right amount of spice or acid - everything here is perfect as is! Will be ordering more for sure! I absolutely love this restaurant. The tam buk hong(papaya salad) and kapoon(noodle soup) bring back many fond memories of my childhood!

I was originally hesitant to try this place because the name is absolutely terrible. It sounds more like a barbecue place. Anyhow, I am so glad I tried it because it is fantastic! I've only had takeout due to Covid. Ordering online is super easy, it's always ready on time, and everything is very fresh and delicious! The lunch specials are great. You have a choice of appetizer, an entrée, and a soup. The Tom yum fried rice is one of my favorites. All of the entrées have been great with tons of fresh vegetables and plenty of chicken. The boss has changed ownership since I first moved nearby, but the new owners are very kind and do a good job. Whether it's carry out or delivery both are done quickly, nice and hot and with a smile. The lunch combinations are great and you can never go wrong with drunken noodles. I also think their peanut sauce is some of the best I've had around. Last week I wasn't feeling well from the second dose of the vaccine and I ordered a seafood noodle soup that was really delicious and helped me through the rest of the day. We used to order takeout from here once in a while and we loved it... hadn't ordered from here in probably a year and a half... maybe 2 years... but, sadly, our recent takeout order was way overpriced and the portions are now smaller. Their prices have gone up $1 - $4 on everything since we last ate here. Okay, I get it, their costs have gone up I'm sure and it needs to be passed on to the customer... Definitely our favorite Thai food in Barrington. My third visit confirmed that. My spicy curry with tofu had just the right amount of spice at 1* and fresh veggies. The coconut pad Thai had some nice coconut ginger flavor and ideal texture with plenty of sprouts and ground peanuts. Easy to order ahead online. read more

Their peanut sauce is spectacul at but I could drink that down by the gallons anywhere. The takeaway is that while it's a little pricey, it is definitely worth it for the freshness of the meal. Ordered online tonight for my family. The website said "pick one" for spice level from 1-5 with one being the least and 5 the most. We HATE spice so we picked 1. Got the food home and it is unbearably spicy. We called thinking we got the wrong order. They said it was our fault because we chose 1. I said that was the least spicy option but they said we could have left the field blank. I told them their website was a little confusing since it said "pick one". I had a delicious dinner of takeout Thai food while in RI. My drunken noodles with tofu and vegetables arrived fresh and flavorful. The noodles were firm and the vegetables not over cooked. I found the portion of tofu to be generous and well seasoned. The two people with me ordered crispy pad Thai and were equally impressed. Just as impressive were their not overly heavy dumplings. I've found that although the restaurants in the area offer pretty much the same menus but the final product is different. I've been here three times, never ordering the same thing twice. Coconut green curry wings tonight red last week. Great flavor, no heat but not crispy. I like crispy. Drunken noodles with pork. Wide lasagna noodles. First seeing that. Good flavor. Nice heat. Very disappointed- not good at all. Surprised given the very positive reviews. The Pad Thai was way too sweet, the dumplings COLD when they arrived and the nim chow was served with a horrible sauce- was not peanut based but rather a sickly sweet plum sauce with some chopped peanuts on top. read more

The restaurant is small. 8 or 9 tables. It is byob and there is a $5 bottle service. I did not find it comfortable. It still felt like the Verizon store it used to be. I ordered takeout and have dined there. I see a lot of people there and they keep saying the food is good. I think it's a little weird. Wonton soup with mushy wantons, broccoli and cut up vegetables was not good. Krispy Pad Thai was also kind of strange. Crispy chicken is dry floured and fried. Crispy shrimp are heavily battered and crunchy. I've had a dish three times and all three, it has tasted differently. Light, unflavored sauce, and dark brown, sweet sauce. Other things like pad see ew are also bland. I don't know what they are doing in the kitchen. There is no consistency. I hope they sort it out. read more

Despite living a block away I called to place a take out order today. Food is ok, portion is smaller than what other asian restaurants offered and service is poor that's why I gave 2 stars. Since it's a takeout I expect to have a spoon/fork and napkins but there's nothing except the food. I had to come back and asked for these and was rudely told that if I want those I have to ask!!!! They updated their menu a few months back and added even more great items, in addition to our standby favorites. Excellent spot! I met a friendomer here for lunch today as he raved about how good it was. I quickly ordered the lunch special which consisted of a choice of appetizer, soup or salad and entree. I had the chicken satay which was delicious. The peanut sauce on the side was much better than other Thai places I've been. The Tom yum soup was probably my least favorite but still tasty. The star of the show was the chicken pad Thai. What great flavors!! This place is BYOB and with the Brickyard wine shop literally next store this is a huge win. We ordered take out to give it a try tonight. Ordering online is super easy and wait time was as expected. The vegetable nime chow was fresh and crisp, the accompanying sauce was thick and sweet but a nice compliment. The seaweed salad was also very fresh tasting, not drenched with oil. I am picky about my seaweed salad and this would be my second favorite in the state. The chicken masamam curry had big chunks of sweet potato, slices of onion and carrots in a good curry broth. Comparing it to the other thai restaurant in town it was close enough that there isn't a favorite (although they give less rice here). The beef pho was surprisingly good as well, the base had a lot of flavor without being overly salty. I didn't care for the beef itself, I would select vegetable next time. The sprouts were crisp and fresh as well, but I would ask for lime and jalapeno next time. It isn't a Vietnamese restaurant but it will work perfect to fix my pho cravings! Overall I feel it's a good option to grab for dinner and look forward to trying some more dishes. Update: Tried the wonton soup, which is pretty good. The wontons taste more like chicken than pork (I'm not sure what the menu said to be honest) and the veggies were very fresh with a nice crunch. I wasnt the biggest fan of the wontons themselves but the soup was good the small soup had 3 or 4 wontons. I also had the steamed veggies with the peanut sauce. Again the veggies were very fresh, probably the freshest and best cooked I have ever had for takeout. The peanut sauce was very good as well, although I sort of wish the veggies were slathered in it Their coconut rice is good as well, a little more moist than other Thai restaurants in the area. Keeping with my 4 star rating, food is basic but solid and because of how fresh it is I will choose here over other places. read more

The fried rice had great flavor but the texture of the chicken was off in that dish and the pad thai. The atmosphere is nothing special.
