My husband and I were walking around Providence looking for a sushi spot . This restaurant popped up on Yelp. With seeing positive reviews we decided to give it a try . From the moment we stepped in the door we could tell we were in for a great meal . The service was great and I noticed how they greeted their regulars and knew their go to orders . A great sign that both the food and staff are great. They have a dining room , patio seating and a sushi bar . We decided to sit at the sushi bar . I ordered a lychee martini that was delicious. We ordered Kimchi fried rice ( we ended up taking it home for left overs. ) The Sweet potato maki was warm and crispy . The fried gyoza was also a great appetizer crispy and full of flavor . I also really enjoy miso soup with my sushi and they had an excellent miso soup . Our sushi came relatively quick, especially since they just needed to hand it over from their sushi station . It was very fresh and had a great ratio of fish to rice. I have never eaten so much sushi in one sitting I was beyond full and satisfied. Can't wait to come back to this location and try the different sushi specials.

The spicy salmon mania was good as well as fresh I have no complaints about this place at all. Ear made my roll and he always double and triple checks that everything is fine he has great customer service. This is a Japanese ambiance it's always relaxing and comfortable here. I highly recommend Lim's to anyone that likes sushi.

Best sushi in Providence, and the Thai dishes were very good too. I love the otoro a lot! The service was great and the ambiance in the dining room was very pleasant. They also have a bar area if you want to grab a drink and bite of sushi alone.

The restaurant is really beautiful inside and the staff are really accommodating. I was able to call and make a reservation the same day for Saturday evening. The sushi rolls are fresh and one of the rolls had great flavors with cilantro incorporated in it. The Pad Thai with shrimp is probably the best I've had in New England. It had a good amount of protein with strong flavor absorbed in the noodles. The Khao Soi was a special and the curry was amazing. The egg noodles had great flavors with the curry and fried noodles provided a satisfying crunch. I look forward to coming back whenever I'm in Providence.

Excellent sushi! We tried a few rolls for takeout and they were delicious! The restaurant was cute inside; there was plenty of seating so hopefully any wait time would be pretty short too! Take out took roughly 30 minutes to be ready which was perfect timing for us. I only wish there was more parking or designated takeout spaces for a quick in and out!

Best pad Thai I've had since I moved to the east coast! Loved this place. I didn't like the original seat they gave me by the bathroom, and they were super nice and accommodating when I asked to move. It was my bday dinner, and I didn't mention that, but they moved me nonetheless. Very reasonable prices for such great food! Quick service and clean space!

As promised to come back again. I recently visited Lim's Fine Thai Restaurant and was thoroughly impressed! The sushi here is incredibly fresh, and you can truly taste the quality in every bite. The attention to detail and the spectacular flavors made it stand out from other places I've tried. On top of that, the service was outstanding--so friendly and welcoming, which made the whole dining experience even more enjoyable. What surprised me most was how reasonably priced everything was. At other restaurants, I've paid more for sushi that wasn't even close to this level of quality. If you're looking for amazing sushi at a great value with top-notch service, Lim's is the place to go. Highly recommend!

I have heard of Lim's for years.....and I am glad I had the chance to try it out with some friends. The restaurant has an extensive menu of noodles, soups, sushi, stir fry dishes, appetizers and more...The lady who waited on us was the nicest and sweetest server....she always approached our table with a light bow and with a very helpful demeanor. We ordered our food and right after, I saw someone getting the crispy Pad Thai dish and it was HUGE !! A large portion of crispy noodles in a Pad Thai dish...something I have to get next time !!!! All of our dishes were excellent... - Sweet and Sour chicken wok entree - Beef Teriyaki platter - Basil fried rice - Pineapple fried rice - Chicken satay The portions were really good size and the flavors were just perfectly blended. I eat spicy (like I eat raw jalapeños) and that does not bother me, but I know that spicy in a Thai or Indian restaurant is a different level of spice...So I asked for my basil rice to be made very mild....still...it had a nice level of spice....so much that I had to drink two full glasses of water with my meal....LOL. Delicious though.... A place to come back for any type of Asian inspired dishes....

This is our go-to sushi restaurant in Rhode Island. Hands down the most freshest, creative, and delicious rolls. The sashimi is like butter and melts in your mouth! The sushi chefs take pride in their rolls and go above and beyond to amaze you with their masterpieces. The service was great - our servers were very accommodating and prompt. We love everything about this restaurant and became regulars! The restaurants ambiance is very nice. If you are looking to dine with a large group, I highly recommend that you call ahead.

This became my favorite restaurant, when they brought me a Shirley temple with three cherries ! Service was very fast and friendly. Restaurant and restroom's were very clean. I also thought the signs identifying the bathrooms as men and women's were funny. I got the Chirashi bowl it came with miso soup . I also got a sashimi order of tobiko. The sushi in the chirashi bowl was so good. All of the pieces of sushi tasted great. The chef made a great choice in all his selection of fish. The sushi rice was cooked perfectly and seasoned really well. I loved the hint of sweetness in the rice. The miso was also very flavorful and not too salty. Will definitely come back hear and try their hot food next time.

Full plate. Carrots, bean sprouts, peanuts l, paid Thai noodles, shrimp on top, not mixed in.

Ordered shrimp pad Thai noodle. Was good. Came in yesterday while doing Door Dash. Was looking for a new Thai restaurant. Won't do the one near me. Service has gone down tremendously. It's a different company. Ingredients are separated as plated, so you mix to your desire.

The only thing I'm upset about is that I didn't find out about Lims sooner!! I've been missing out. Quality food, cute and classy atmosphere, and my server was so sweet! I'll be back soon.

With a 4.6 rating, we were genuinely excited to try it. Walking in, first impressions were great. The inside of the restaurant was super cute, the artwork was beautifully done, and the initial greeting was welcoming. Unfortunately, things started going downhill pretty quickly after that. We had a few questions about the menu, but the hostess seemed confused and didn't really understand what we were asking, so we ultimately just gave up and ordered what sounded good. Food-wise, it was very mixed. The sushi roll was phenomenal...genuinely the best part of the experience, and my son absolutely loved his. The shrimp udon was okay, but the portion was noticeably smaller than what most sushi places serve. The salmon poke bowl was very basic and honestly underwhelming. I also asked for spicy mayo, which was never brought out. The biggest disappointment was the service. Paying $4 for a canned soda with no refills already felt excessive, but when my son accidentally spilled it, we cleaned it up immediately ourselves. No one offered extra napkins, replaced the plate, or even asked if we wanted another drink. It just felt inattentive from start to finish. To make matters worse, one staff member was sitting at the bar listening to something loudly on a laptop, which completely took away from the atmosphere and felt unprofessional. As someone who used to waitress, I understand the service industry and I'm usually a generous tipper. But I also believe tips reflect service, and unfortunately this experience missed the mark. After picking up our receipt, the hostess was visibly unhappy with the tip amount and had no issue making that clear which only reinforced the poor experience. I very rarely leave one-star reviews, but for a place with a 4.6 star reputation and "top-rated" marketing, this was incredibly disappointing. Cute atmosphere and one great sushi roll aside, the service and overall experience were just not what we expected.

In a state with no shortage of sushi options, this has remained my go-to spot year after year. At this point, I think I've tried either everything on the menu or come pretty close to it. That's what happens when you keep returning to the same place for over a decade. The reason I keep coming back is simple: consistency. The fish is always fresh, the sushi is well prepared, and the food is reliably good. If I order something cooked, it arrives hot and exactly as expected. There are restaurants where you're rolling the dice every visit. Haruki East has never felt like one of them. The restaurant itself is clean, comfortable, and easy to get to. The location is convenient, and the prices are very reasonable considering the quality of the food. That's become increasingly rare these days. The only reason I'm stopping at four stars instead of five is the service. While I've never had a genuinely bad experience here, the last few visits have been noticeably slower than I remember. Service has also felt a bit inattentive at times, and these weren't during packed dinner rushes or busy weekend nights. Nothing terrible, just enough that I found myself waiting longer than expected for drinks, check-ins, or the bill. That said, the food continues to be excellent, and that's ultimately why I keep coming back. After 15 years, Haruki East has earned a level of trust that few restaurants achieve. When I'm craving sushi, this is still the place I think of first. The occasional service hiccup hasn't been enough to change that. If you're looking for fresh fish, a broad menu, reasonable prices, and a restaurant with a long track record of getting the important things right, Haruki East remains one of the best choices in Rhode Island.

To eat we ordered Tom Yum Shrimp soup (more spicy than we expected- and packed to take home), seaweed salad, garlic chili edamame (which we could not finish), tempura appetizer, and Ikura sashimi. It was all quite tasty. It seemed better than in the past. The service was cheerful and the food came out in a timely manner. We had not eaten here for almost a year but will do so more frequently.

A gyoza which was good and a plate of tempura- a better selection of fish, shrimp and vegetables than in most places. We took some of it home for the next day. The place doesn't serve alcohol which is something we hadn't remembered. The customers at the next table kindly offered us some cold sake which was most welcome. The person, James Martin, owns a restaurant 85 main street in Putnam, CT, which we will try when we are next in that area. Interestingly, the customers at the next tables had also been at the concert and the performers themselves came in to dine as well! The service was quick and the vibe pleasant. The check came to a very reasonable $36. We will return again soon.

With that in mind, there's nothing else I could imagine other than a hot bowl of ramen. Located about 1.7 miles or a 7min drive away, I was excited. Upon pulling up to the front of the building, you can drive slightly further down SE and park in the small lot with several spots. I actually don't remember anything about the interior to comment much. I was laser focused on getting food in my tummy. We ordered; Tan Tan Men ; a bowl of ramen with spicy pork miso broth. this absolutely hit the spot. it was deliciously salty and full of umami, and the toppings were just right, and I inhaled it in minutes Fried Calamari ; another excellent dish. the calamari was nice and crispy and the meat was tender. couldn't have been done any better. the mango chili puree sauce was also very good and something I haven't had before Tako Yaki ; I'm not sure if I need to say anything about this. it's about as yummy and expected of a properly-done tako yaki as you would expect Karaage ; this one was actually pretty upsetting with how bad it was. the chicken seemed like it was very overcooked - the skin was hard and crunchy instead of crispy, the meat was not juicy, and honestly the portions of these chicken bites were pitiful. I even sent a snap to a friend and she felt bad for me. the flavor was also immensely salty. it came with spicy mayo (which was actually spicy! that never happens!) and a tonkatsu sauce, but honestly I was desperately in need of something sweet like ketchup or honey. Wife and I ate a total of 3 pieces. Our waiter was very apologetic and asked multiple times if we wanted it re-done or if we wanted something else, but we were already pretty content by the time we could air our complaints. To my satisfaction, he removed the karaage from the bill. Despite the miss, the customer service and the quality of the other foods makes it easy for me to still give the place full stars.

We began with spring rolls (VERY good - chicken and shrimp) and sake, and the sake program deserves special mention. Some diners may balk at paying that much for a can, but they will happily pay more for a mediocre glass of wine at half the volume. The value here is actually quite good, especially for those looking to explore sake beyond the ordinary. Our entrées--the ramen and chicken katsu--were excellent. The ramen featured a rich, deeply satisfying broth, while the chicken katsu was perfectly crisp on the outside and tender within. If you want a "hotter " ramen - the have an add on for a buck.
