The tech Caleb was friendly and knowledgeable and kept his quote within the price range I was quoted over the phone which is nice. I think their pricing is fair and the work was done quickly and efficiently. If you use a credit card there is a 3.5% service fee but if you cut a check there is no fee. I was offered a discount if I agreed to replace both the broken spring and the spring on my other garage door but I chose to only replace the broken one at this time. I will use this business again when time comes to replace the other spring.

A few weeks later the opener fell off the ceiling and crashed onto my car, causing damage that will cost over $4,000 to repair. Despite vague promises on two occasions to pay the cost of the repair, no follow up. Now they take the position that I "accepted" the work and they are not responsible for the damage and will not even refund any of the purchase price. They claim to be bonded and insured, but I checked with the Oregon Construction Contractor's Board for a bond and found no registration for Ben's Garage & Gates. There was a registration for Abraham Bar Lyani, the apparent owner of Ben's, but it was suspended according to CCB because "insurance not on file."

Realizing I wanted to replace all the windows and patio doors, I delayed a year and contacted Frank when I was ready. First of all, Frank is a joy to work with. He was always communicative, prompt and friendly. He offered for us to come out to the showroom and see the windows and doors in person. I went with the Milgard Trinsic Windows and Doors. Second, the install team was excellent. Every day, they arrived on time and hit the ground running. Having a number of contractors for projects over the past 5 years, this team has been the best. I moved out of the house during the project, but I stopped by daily and everything was always cleaned up and in order. Third, I really appreciated the effort and thoroughness on the last day of cleaning the exterior and especially the interior of the house. The team takes great pride in their work and you can tell that is 100% employee owned. If I had to say there was a down side, its you may be in for a wait when placing your order because their work is in high demand (the first year quote, I would have had to wait 4-5 months). Finally, the windows and doors are beautiful. What a difference this made in regards to temperature, sound, and clarity. Not to mention, the ease at using the doors and the contemporary narrow frame modernized our home. We could not be happier.

On Sunday evening one of the cables on our garage door broke and we were unable to open it. I called on Monday morning and someone was able to come out within a couple of hours. I was given a very reasonable quote over the phone and the work was done quickly by a very professional and friendly technician. He explained everything and after talking with him about how to make the door operate quieter without replacing the very old opener he suggested replacing the rollers. He serviced everything and realigned the door and track. We're very pleased with the results and the price was very reasonable. Brad Salmon arrived within hours after I called on a Saturday to replace a broken garage door spring. Brad demonstrated and explained how his services included replacement of aging garage door parts (tension wires, rollers) including rebalancing the garage door. I could tell from speaking with Brad that he was a professional. I imposed and asked if he could replace a loud garage door opener. I called Beez because I was having an issue with both garage doors on a house that we'd recently purchased. The double garage door was extremely noisy and the single garage door would not stay up. (Another company told me that the problem with the garage door opener was related to the door which needed replacement.) Brad did not think I needed a new door.
