Every morning of our stay, we ate here. The beignets are hot and fresh with loads of powdered sugar (the way they are supposed to be). They are tasty. Quite delicious actually. The employees were very nice and friendly. The prices were very reasonable. This is definitely a place we will stop at in the future.

Yuck. The beignets were dry and way too crunchy- almost hard on the outside so they were hard to chew. That's really all there is to it- not worth it!

Cafe du Monde will always have the best beignets but the Beignet Cafe is a darn close second place. Located in the Island View casino this small beignet shop makes every begignet to order. These are a little more doughy than Cafe du Monde, but they are very good. They cover the beignets with a heavy heaping of powdered sugar. They is nothing like a hot beignet!!!!

Pictures just don't do them justice...both were hot, fresh and delicious!!!

You have to go into the casino, but once you do, you can use your nose to find this tasty treasure!! Made fresh, right in front of you, and you must try the fries and the regular ones. We opted for the lemon cream cheese and raspberry dipping sauces which were both very good!! The ladies that helped us were super nice and very helpful too!!

The last thing I expected to find in a casino in Gulfport, Mississippi was Beignet Cafe. This little cafe is heads above many I've tried in my years traveling the world. To start with the staff were so friendly and eager to please. There was a long line but that didn't keep them from treating each customer like they were the only one in line and giving great service. We ordered two orders of three for our group along with coffee, hot chocolate, and a bottled water. The coffee was hot and fresh, the not chocolate just the way grandma made it, and the water ice cold. The little lady making drinks was so cute. They made the Beignets while we waited so they were hot and fresh and well worth the short wait. WOW! There were so good! It was all I could do to just have one. Soft but firm, just the right amount of powdered sugar coating the brown cake. Every bite was better than the last. I'm in town a couple more days and I may have to go back for more. Delicious!

Got the beignet fries with raspberry dip and the lemon cream cheese dip with the best cafe au lait I've ever had. Very sweet and helpful staff! Just wonderful!

The beignet cafe is right by the entrance of island view casino - short menu reminds me of cafe du monde. Beignets were good - cafe au lait was ok

Love their beignets! Hot and fresh EVERY TIME! So goood! Quick and fast with great hours! And they make them in front of you! Which is awesome to see how they create them! Really wished they were here in Atlanta or Texas! Was def my favorite part of the trip!

Maybe it's that I am pregnant and I was really hungry but I think these were better than Cafe du Monde! They were light and amazing!

What stood out most to me, especially as a Californian, was the homemade touch in every bite. The tacos had homemade pico de gallo, guacamole, pickled onions, and taco sauce. You can really taste the care and effort they put into making things from scratch. Pair that with a gorgeous waterfront view and friendly, welcoming staff, and you've got a perfect dining experience. I'm visiting from out of town, but I'm already looking forward to coming back to try more of their menu. Highly recommend!

It was originally named Marina Cantina but is under new ownership. Parking is a bit sparse here, and you used to be able to park under the bridge but that was blocked off last time I went. You may have to park in the overflow gravel lot just west of the building, which also serves as parking for the excellent Blue Dog Bistro next door. We started with the Tres Amigos appetizer, which included a pile of fresh chips combined with salsa, cheese sauce, and black bean sauce. It was great and really meant for more than two people. They don't skimp on this one. I've been here several times and always get the Shrimp A Go Go poboy, which is pictured here. Although I feel like it could have used a few more shrimp for the price point, it was really good and comes with this creamy sort of salsa that pairs well with the fried shrimp. My wife got the grilled chicken sandwich, and honestly it was bigger and looked better than my poboy. I am definitely trying that next time. I hope this place is doing well because it never seems very busy when we go. It's like something is missing on the inside to liven it up. Our tables were covered in epoxy that was cracked and we saw buckling on the wood floors, most likely from humidity. Service has always been pretty quick and I have never had any complaints. I know the City caused a lot of drama for the previous owners, which is unfortunate. Definitely check this place out if you're looking for a place to hang out and have a few drinks and great food.

He chose the plantation hotel supposedly because of all the raving reviews but let me set the record straight there is nothing amazing about this hotel except possibly the animals. Now let me explain who this hotel is perfect for. If you like animals especially peacocks...this place is perfect for you. If you like dead fly's in your tea....this place is perfect for you. (They have tea and cookies at 4 o' clock everyday. We were super excited except when we got there the cookies and tea had just been sitting out. I was so excited for the juice that I failed to look at it before drank it. Then i realized there were dead flies in both punch bowls. I took pictures but i'd rather not creep you out. I'll just leave that to your imagination. If your between the ages of 40-100 this place is perfect for you. You can definitely appreciate the quietness, the quilt on your bed, and the whole ambiance of the hotel. The hotel room is just bland. In the guest book it says that the hotel has been recently remodeled to look like a home from back in the day. I ask the lady how long is recenlty and she said 10yrs ago!!! Our shower door was broken. There was a wooden table and chairs. Its just not what you expect when you come to a hotel. I expect luxury and what I got was a room from 1890. Sunday Brunch is actually what Plantation is known for. That was probably the best part of our whole stay at the hotel. It was a breakfast buffet which included eggs, omelets, bacon, sausage. (the norm) But it was actually pretty good. I can't complain about that part. This hotel is actually in close proximity to the outlets if you want to go shopping and about 15minutes from the casiono's.
