Service was average Establishment wasn't as clean there was a dirty table behind us when we arrived and when we left it was still dirty and it wasn't as busy so I felt there was no sense of urgency on the cleaning side unfortunately. The food was delicious! The sweet tea was good but make sure you mix it. The fries were by far my favorite! The Raspberry Dip is a MUST try. I also got a #6 combo the sandwich was very good as well. The beignets were delicious!! We tried the original, peach cobbler, banana, and berry. They were all delicious! If you're not a big sweet tooth though I'd recommend just the regular beignets! OMG! All I can say is I'm in love and where have you beignet all my life?!? I'm not a super huge sweets fan, but these beignets have got me wrapped around their powder coated fingers! These little fluffy pockets of heaven are to die for! We decided to get the classic 8-pack with chocolate dipping sauce. There's a small dining room if you just want to eat them fresh from the fryer. Just to the side of the dining area there is a large floor to ceiling window looking into the back where you can see them being made and deep fried! I completely recommend having a warm one right away... if you can resist eating them all and only have one! We were good and only ate a couple. So even if you eat them hours later... they're still amazing! Staff was friendly. Parking is limited, there is 20 min parking spot right outside. They're closed on Sundays. OOOHHH MY!!!!! WOW, a beignet... never even knew I liked them!!! These are made fresh as you order them and served warm, absolutely delicious. They have several variations and also dipping sauces, but I just went with the plain ones and they did not disappoint. They also serve a lot of food Which looked delicious as well. It's a really cute place, a lot of places to sit (I saw a few people with computers, cool place to hang out and work) it was super clean and that people were very nice. I understand it has gained some popularity as of recent, so there was a little line, but it was very quick! I'm glad this place is 30 miles from my home otherwise I would probably be going there weekly However, there is a sandwich shop a couple miles away. Sublime. Even if you hate sweets, this place is absolutely worth visiting! There are a handful of savory menu items, but they are very well done! I got the fried jerk chicken sandwich. A quiet corner spot in downtown Riverside. This spot has been around for around three years and as a non native to the Riverside area the location looks almost brand new. Serving breakfast and lunch as well as their signature beignets it's about as close to Louisiana as you can get. The dough is fluffy and a mild sweetness pairs beautifully with the powdered sugar and dipping sauces. I also opted for the Jerk Chicken Sandwhich and this thing blew me out of the water. Our server Candy was attentive and incredibly friendly and bright. The woman who took our order at the register was dealing with a line of 5+ people when we walked in and got everyone's orders into the kitchen quickly. The raspberry lemonade and the chicory iced coffee were both tasty and once our food came we were in love with this spot. The beignets were soft and fluffy with a nice crunch and served with a generous helping of powdered sugar. The real star of my order was the jerk chicken. Tried Beignet Spot for lunch today with a friend and ordered the jerk chicken sandwich combo. The jerk chicken sandwich was good but nothing spectacular. The fried chicken was a bit dry, though still worked well with the slaw, sauce, and aioli. The waffle fries were great. It also came with 2 beignets, which were good, but tasted a little yeasty. Parking was fine; there's a lot in the back of the restaurant where you can pay a meter to park or you can find free 90 min-2 hr street parking on the nearby residential streets. When you arrive, you order at the front counter, get a number, seat yourself, and wait for them to bring your food to your table (if you choose to dine in). It only took about 10-15 minutes. Glad Riverside has a restaurant with New Orleans style food. I'd like to come back to try their chicory coffee. read more

I've passed the Beignet Spot while in the downtown area and finally got a chance to try it. I ordered online and picked up my order to go; still had to wait an additional 10 minutes or so after the stated pick up time... Inside the restaurant was very clean, with ample seating and a large window in which you can watch the employees hard at work making those yummy beignets. Each order comes with two beignets! I ordered the B spot morning hash and the B Spot Sammy with bacon. I made one a combo - which included 4 beignets and coffee. The service here is amazing! The staff here are so friendly and welcoming. You can tell they are passionate and the food is so delicious! I had #1, which was their breakfast plate with 4 beignets, a large sausage, eggs and a choice of either grits or tater tots. I got tater tots and they were so heavenly. Each bite had such a nice crunch and they were perfectly golden. The beignets were also incredibly delicious and my mouth is watering again just thinking about them. Not bad. Parking can be street parking or right around the back. Something went wrong with the back. So we waited for about 15 mins cuz they had to stop all orders. After waiting, we ordered and the order took about 10 mins to come out. A bit pricey but it's like a "bougie" kinda spot so I can see why they charge that. The food is good. There used to be a really bad Mexican restaurant at this location called El Serape (aka El Crappie), then it was vacant for years. Recently I noticed some activity taking place, namely a face-lift, and then it occurred to me that finally something good was coming soon. I intended to visit sooner but over the Memorial Day Weekend it seemed like the lines were really long with people waiting outside, so I decided to hold off. Let's talk about the parking situation. While there is a big, mostly empty lot in back all but one 20-minute space is for hire. Same with every street spot around the block. However, if you don't mind walking a couple blocks the parking situation improves with one-hour and 90 minutes options. You're welcome. The nicely lit and spacious dining area beckons, and the two-part menu is concise and laid out with breakfast and lunch/dinner options. They specialize in beignets (no way you say?) So naturally there are a lot of combinations and quantities available, as well as some tasty sounding dessert options. That Peach Cobbler beckons. I settled on the Fried Jerk Chicken Sando for $13.95. I had a nice chit-chat with the proprietor, a lovely lady, and took my order number tent to an open table around the corner in an alcove area. I was really hungry and feeling a tad impatient but right before I got antsy my order arrived and I was pleasantly surprised. In addition to the sammich there was a sizeable portion of waffle fries and two namesake beignets. There was also a side of their truly outstanding special sauce with its creamy, tangy texture. So good that. See pics. Anyhow, delicious, everything. Nice spice to the batter, I'd like it HOTTER, and really taste the allspice and pepper. Nevertheless, the sauce provided the extra kick. I couldn't finish all the fries BTW, so from an absolute value for the money this is the spot! I loved the beignets, powdered sugar and all. Fresh, they were the perfect closure to a meal featuring savory spices. I'll try breakfast next time but outside of the Riverside Food Lab, this is the first of hopefully many new restaurants in the downtown that emphasize the diversity of the community. read more

Well after a couple of months of driving by it. I finally stopped by. The beautiful wooden doors you go through, directly lead you to the menu and someone there ready to assist you. The menu doesn't have an excessive amount of things to choose from, which is cool because you can actually decide what you want and then comeback and try other things. I asked the lovely lady at the front what their most popular order was- she said the fried chicken (chicken tenders) and beignets, I went with that and the Chicory Coffee Milkshake. We picked a table and waited about 8-10 minutes before the food came out. You get 6 beignets with the chicken strips, freshly made with powdered sugar on top. The chicken strips , I felt were s little over cooked- they were pretty good with the Louisiana hot sauce. The shake was very creamy and not so sweet. It was perfect. The beignets here have a weird aftertaste and isn't as fresh-tasting as I'd prefer. The dough texture is more like a pancake than a crispy beignet, but I didn't mind that part. We asked for the peach cobbler but to only have 3 of the beignets covered in the sauce so we could keep some of them fresh and not soggy, and for some reason that was not an option? Also their milkshake machine was broken so we didn't get to try any of those, and most of their other beverages were out of stock, so that was very disappointing. read more

We noticed this spot coming together and couldn't wait to stop in. First, the transformation of this space, it unrecognizable. It's super inviting and the environment is very chill. The staff is absolutely the friendliest, super helpful with menu, just all around great. Now the food - AMAZING! Chickens flavor is great, breading is light but great texture and it held up well to the topping. I had the loaded fries - coleslaw,house sauce, chicken - all of it was delicious. My husband tried the jerk chicken sandwich - when asked his thoughts he only said wow! But the stunner, the beignets. Whats even cooler is you can see it being made in front of you - there's a glass wall that allows you to see into the kitchen. The Jerk Chicken Sandwich wasn't too memorable; crispy but lacking in the flavor. It came with waffle fries which are always good. I stopped by the Beignet Spot today after jury duty and I'm so glad that I did. The food was amazing! I ordered the hash breakfast and it was so delicious. I also ordered peach cobbler beignets and they were very delicious as well. In addition to the great tasting meal and beignets the customer service was top tier as well. The cashier was very helpful in recommending something off the menu as this was my first time visiting. She greeted me as soon as I entered the door.
