I'm leaving a review and giving 2 stars because of the food items that I had. My overall experience with the staff and Management including Annie and Will was awful. So let me begin. My some turned 11 on 03/31. I had made plans with my family who live out of town that we would eat dinner there for him in 04/01. So when I went in their site they had a promotion with a group of 6 and the birthday person is free. Must verify birthday. Nowhere on the site does it say you must attend on your actual birthday. Most restaurants allow you to receive a birthday perk at least the day before or after, but not them. When I called originally to see if I could get a table reserved for my party size and ask about the birthday comped meal I shuffled around and passed off to Annie first. She told me that it didn't matter that my son was only 11 or that I had family from out of town coming in. She said since it was not the date of the birthday they could not honor that. She told me to call back later on and if the other manager says ok then she would do it. So before it came to dinner time I spoke with the second Manager will. he then informs me so that it doesn't matter that my son was only 11 and that I had to have his birthday dinner on Saturday due to family coming in town he would not honor the birthday special. He then goes on to say that additionally we would be charged a 10% cleaning fee due to the party size. But the first manager made no mention of it at all. Since it was too late to change the plans I went through with having his dinner there. They indeed did charge the cleaning fee and also charged for his birthday. I understand policy is policy, however exclusions and policies like the cleaning fee is something that should be clearly stated or able to be locate on their site. I only had the garlic & ginger crab, fried shrimp and some of their broccoli beef. The food items were cool. All in all I did not have a pleasurable experience dealing with them. I feel that the birthday should have been honored and they could have been more accommodating. When people bring you business like that it helps to work with people as word of mouth travels fast. Not saying don't go, but please be mindful if you have a large party or want to celebrate a birthday. Call ahead and plan accordingly. read more

Ok I've been wanting to try this place and I've heard good things about it so we finally went in there for lunch!! Ok they have lunch and dinner prices!! We paid 16.99 per person!! Wow great price for what you get!!! They have buffet food with pizza and French fries also!! Plus all the Asian choices!! Plus great sushi choices!!! Also stuff that can grill up like Mongolian bbq!! Oh salad bar and fruit bar and desert bar!! Lol oh!! And it comes with a drink also!! Wow!!! Good tasting food!! Good service!!! Next time I wanna try dinner to see what the difference is from lunch other than the price!! Check this place out it was worth the lunch price!! I didn't put pics up because there is a few already!! The staff is extremely rude and disrespectful, yelling at my 7-year-old brother for taking the ice cream home despite the fact that I had already told him that we would pay for it. Decent buffet, good selection for a reasonable price. The place was clean and there was plenty of prions to choose from. For your $25.99 you get soda/tea to drink, all buffet food plus the Mongolian style grill. A few things for kids who may not be big seafood fans (pizza, chicken, etc) but most of the food is seafood based. The sushi was ok but the sashimi was in the warm side...cold crab was very good and most all the hot food was delicious. Would have been 4 stars but just need to make a few dishes sing a bit more!! read more

I was visiting and my family took me here for late lunch/early dinner. This spot definitely has potential to be great and eventually be worth that $28 price tag, however, the food that was served around 3pm was not up to par. Understandably, Mondays may be a slower day but they should keep in mind the quality and temperature of the food items and adjust their pars to suit the time and pace of the guests. Around 4:30 people started coming in for dinner and noticed a lot of food was being replenished, wish that happened more actively. Also, at the Mongolian bbq station, the cook stayed on his phone while cooking and just didn't have any problem with it. I thought that was in bad taste for the look of the restaurant. Food is meh. I've had better. The service is terrible. All the booths were dirty. We asked an employee to clean one of the booths and he just looked at us and walked away. All the employees had earphones, btw. We asked the people up front (management?) to clean a booth and that we asked an employee to clean it and he walked away and she just smiled and said thanks. We were here when they first opened and the food was about the same but at least the employees had some personality. So I guess we won't be coming back. $60 for 3 people for subpar food and terrible service, nope. read more

Beijing Buffet was very clean and had plenty of help staff. This place is quite expensive and with the food taste, quality and variety I cannot see this restaurant as a good value. This place was rock'n busy yet the food appeared dried out and cold. I really wanted a great buffet in Stockton, but this just isn't it. I will save my money and hit one of the North Stockton Chinese restaurants for variety, freshness and flavor for 1/2 the price. First visit to this restaurant and I'm a few bites in and the Orange chicken had some hard old pieces in it. After a couple of bites of rice, I find a hair. It was in the short to medium range and my hair is long and was up in a clip. So I know it wasn't mine. We promptly left after getting a refund. Went to check out Beijing Buffet last night! Overall, the experience was a 7/10. Let's start off with the reason I'm writing this review the price of children is done by height which is unfair in my opinion! My daughter is 10 years old and I had to pay the adult price because she's 5'2 anyone over 5 feet is considered an adult. My daughter still orders off the kids' menu at restaurant's so this turned me off!! Now let's go to the positives my favorite part of the restaurant was the grill. It reminded me of Mongolian BBQ. You pick protein veggies and noddle's but the best part is the steak. You can have them grill a full steak which was very tender I cut mines with a butter knife!! Very yummy! Finally was able to try this buffet. We came here on a Tuesday evening which I loved because it wasn't too crowded. It was dinner time and for two it was $56. I first noticed how clean and how attentive the waitresses were with keeping tables clean. They had a variety of everything and the food was constantly packed. The best part to me was their sushi, it was really good. My boyfriend enjoyed the Mongolian noodles he went back 2x (LOL). Most of the foods we had were fresh and hot/luke warm. They have a lot of fried foods if that's your preference. We enjoyed our evening here and would be coming back for sure! read more

Went here for the dinner with the hubby this past Friday. There were a lot of people waiting but we only waited for about 20 minutes to be seated so that was a pleasant surprise. Pros: They have a sushi station and a Mongolian station where they cook up your noodles for you. Fried fish was fresh and tasty, ginger Dungeness crab was good too just a little messy to eat but good. Cons: Not a lot of variety of food and most of the food they did have was mediocre. Chow Mein was bland. They only had two types of soup and the Hot and Sour soup was also bland. The snow crab legs were very salty, it tasted like they just boiled it in a ton of salt water. Fried wings were lacking flavor. Overall, I don't think I'll return unless they broaden their food variety and flavor their food better. read more

Great buffets are hard to find post pandemic! Beijing Buffet is the best local buffet with delicious food including a variety of all you can eat sushi, Mongolian BBQ (make your own noodles with all the fixings), crab, shrimp, Chinese food, American food, soups, fruit & desserts! Ngl, this place is probably 2-3 stars for me if it was pre-covid, but it's definitely 5+ stars value during this post-pandemic, inflation ridden economy. Food tasted on par with what I expect from Asian Buffets, free sodas are a big plus, and the limited menu wasn't much of a bother. Mongolian BBQ was surprisingly delicious, and the sushi fell short (to be somewhat expected). Their lunch price is the most value, but dinner and weekend price isn't bad either if you're really into crab legs. I'd imagine they'll need volume to keep this place going at this price range. Honestly the food was bomb!!!!!! The fee is a bit high but so is everything else these days. The orange chicken, the Mongolian bbq the noodles, I ate 2 mountain sized plates, half of my partners and desert. I would return but I don't live in Stockton. maybe if I am in town I will return and I definitely recommend it for others read more

Place used to be hometown buffet and now it's an Asian buffet. Food is horrible, the sushi is made in front of you and I would say it's the best food they have, everything else is a garbage. From kids and adults grabbing the food with their hands instead of the spoons they provide, to the dirty tables. I'll never come here again. The place is not worth $25 for dinner that's a fact. Great food and we were seated very fast considering that it was very busy. The number system they have works well. The mongolian grill was awesome. Some people attempted to heat the crab legs at the grill but that was not permitted and a manager had to come and tell the customer NO. It was very clean for an AYCE place. read more

Sushi was great, I think offering more different roles would be good as there is not a good sushi buffet that I know of in Stockton so this could be the spot with a little more Work. Best bet is to prep your grille selection and follow by getting appetizers and drink and then go back for your cooked meal in 5 to 10 minutes.
