The menu of appetizers and platters.

Some leaps of faith send you afloat, and some leaps of slam you straight into the concrete. But this one sent me straight to heaven and high-fiving Joseph at first. I've passed Beijing Wok for many years, finally deciding to give them a try on the way home from class. Pictures on Yelp made the food look decent enough, so I set my warranted cynicism aside (ready my other Yelp reviews about Shrimp Fried Rice in Texas) and ordered a full quart over the phone. For a little over $10, I received a piping hot oyster pail of rice with four packs of soy sauce, two fortune cookies and two forks. And napkins. The lady at the window was also cool. The rice was well-cooked with no shortage of small shrimp, and I was surprised to find cabbage mixed in with the usual peas and carrots; thankfully, not a single onion to be found. It was delicious and CRAZY filling, to say the least. The sweet taste of the cabbage got kind of annoying after a while, but everything tasted even *better* the second day. I highly, highly recommended the Shrimp Fried Rice from Beijing Wok.

The food is really good here. They have combination plates which was delicious and filling. The orange chicken was nice and crispy.

What piqued my interest were the pictures I saw on yelp. The pictures looked really good. Well, through covid, door dash is the only delivery option. Person that answered the phone was very helpful. The food tasted good. The juices on my pepper steak had went to the bottom and then to the bag. Once I found the juices it was all good. Shrimp fried rice is not what I'm used to but it was good. I enjoyed the crab Rangoon that has another name but just so you know, it tastes and looks like crab Rangoon. If I get back, I will be sure to go back here.

    A3. Broccoli Beef Platter

Ordered around 8pm at the drive thru, gentleman was kind and courteous. I had the broccoli at beef, it's absolutely delicious, really glad I decided to stop by, I'm definitely going back

We just ordered from here for the first time tonite & the prices are very good & for the most part the food was good (not fantastic nor unique). The only things not great is the sweet & sour foods are served dry with the sauce on the side which makes it hard. & the hot sour soup was the absolute worst! don't get it. It was orange & tasted like red chili sauce yuck.

Loved loved loved this place!! Talk about a hole on the wall! I have passed this place sooo many times over the past year and a half and never had I thought about coming until my husbands friend recommended it to us. We went so we didn't have to drive to Panda on 1960 and didn't feel like Great Wall...let me tell you: DELICIOUS! The food is authentic, the quality is superb, the service was even better. We ordered food trays only 20 minutes ahead via phone and it was done right on time. We got orange chicken(crispy, fresh, and yummy), lo mein (loved the noodles and of course a little greasy but it's what made them amazing! Lol), and we also got fried rice (EXCELLENT price and it even has chicken so can be a meal itself). The Whonton soup was sooo good and super cheap too! The guy asked us how many forks we needed and even gave us the extra pepper chili we asked for. Other places are even super stingy about it and we feel bad for asking for more (not here! He gave us plenty for our $90 order). We will definitely be coming again.

    Pepper steak!! A must!!

I've been coming here for years. This is my husband and I go to spot for Chinese food. There aren't very many places on the north side of Houston that are worth my time. I'll drive here for this. My husband got the shrimp egg foo yung. It was great as well.

IYKYK - this is probably the best Peking Duck I've had in Houston in a long time. I've done Peking…read moreCuisine for years and shifted to Arco for my duck cravings, but if you're willing to drive out to Humble (pretty much anytime you're in the IAH area), you gotta check out Bamboo House for the best Peking duck. And their other menu items are fire as well! We went on a Sunday late evening. We had a 9 pm airport pickup at IAH so it was a perfect opportunity to grab a spectacular dinner and make the 30+ minute drive out to IAH totally worth it. Parking lot wasn't too full so that wasn't an issue. While the neighborhood ain't River Oaks luxury, it ain't too scary either. We kept it simple - ordered a whole duck and Bamboo House Special Noodle with Beef. This place ain't cheap but the food is worth every penny. It was very busy that evening so it's not a well-kept secret but also proves that eventually, Houstonians will figure out where the good food is. The duck was near perfect. They serve the duck with the pancakes (as opposed to the buns like at Arco) which is my preference. The soup that comes with it was also extremely flavorful. And the house special noodles with beef - oh my. I swear it's just one really long noodle so you may be frustrated trying to divvy up the family style bowl, but the labor is worth it. So good... Can't wait for my next airport run so I can sneak in a lunch or dinner at this place. So many other menu items I want to try!

I had previously visited the now closed Bamboo House on Westheimer and I remember being impressed by the food. I had to make an airport run and decided that it would be perfect timing to stop by this location. I highly recommend ordering the duck ahead of time, but we were lucky enough to snag one of the last ducks when we arrived around 7 pm on a Sunday evening. The waitress was super friendly and upbeat and the restaurant is older but well maintained. You can see where the food is being prepared/cooked and you can see ducks being cooked/warmed behind a glass window. The duck was absolutely spectacular with the perfect seasoned and tender meat accompanied by well rendered crispy skin. I love how the pancakes are paper thin and pair well with the scrumptious duck and other toppings. They also provide sugar and plum sauce as additional toppings which I thought was interesting but not my cup of tea. The duck soup was extremely flavorful and full bodied and went well with the duck. The noodles were also amazing with likely hand pulled noodles served with an abundance of tender beef and vegetables with a little Sichuan kick. I was intrigued by a strawberry chicken dish that I saw on the menu and I plan to try it the time. My diagnosis: hands down the best Peking duck in the greater Houston area!

Left No Grain of Rice Behind (and Met a Track Star)…read more (10/10) My husband and I wandered into Imperial China on a quiet night - just us two lovebirds and the immaculately clean scent of... well, perfection. Seriously, the place smelled so fresh you could probably perform surgery in the dining room (don't worry, they stick to cooking, which is way more impressive). But the real MVP was Kendall She ran the register, served us, and basically orchestrated our entire evening with the grace of a future Olympic athlete... which, as it turns out, isn't far off! She mentioned she used to run track and is getting back into it. Let me tell you, that explains everything. The speed at which she refilled our water? Blink-and-you-miss-it. The efficiency of her service? Faster than the hurdles she used to jump over. We half-expected her to hand us our fortune cookies while doing hurdle drills over the chairs! Kendall, if you're reading this - you're amazing, and please save some gold medals for the rest of us mere mortals. Now, the FOOD. Oh. My. Wok. We're usually "leftover champions" at Chinese restaurants - it's practically our marital duty. But not this time. We ordered the Combination Fried Rice loaded with goodies) and the Hunan Chicken (spicy, savory, downright addictive). It was so unbelievably delicious, so flawlessly cooked, that we licked our plates clean. Seriously. Not a single grain of rice, not a stray pepper, not even a suspiciously saucy smudge escaped. Our dog is currently giving us the stink-eye because there were zero take-home boxes. Zero! Imperial China broke our leftover streak, and we're not even mad. And as if the universe was nodding along, our fortune cookie sealed the deal: Thursday will bring trust on your new journey." Considering our journey involved demolishing enough food for three people and meeting a future track legend, we'd say it's already pretty darn trustworthy! Overall 10 out of 10. Flawless cleanliness, food that made us abandon all dignity (and leftovers), service faster than Kendall's personal best, and a fortune that felt weirdly on-point. Imperial China, you've won our hearts, our stomachs, and our clean plate awards. We'll be back... probably on Thursday. Just in case.
