Note: this rating is only based on one item - the crushed lentil soup. It was amazing. Loved it! Been looking for the soup since the original LaShish closed. I had to try it, despite the 20 minute drive. A fellow Yelper wrote that Beirut By Night's lentil soup was "the best", in her review about the new LaShish. I totally agree - the lentil soup is the best. My biggest regret is that I didn't get a quart size :-(. So I am a fan of the lentil soup. Since i got takeout, I cannot rate the sit down service. The place looks clean, its nicely decorated, open and airy, and the lady who took my order was kind. I will be back for my lentil soup! read more

The best Middle Eastern Cuisine I have had and have been to many places in Metro Detroit. I had the chicken shish tawook lunch special which came with awesome crushed lentil soup, fresh moist pita bread that was piping hot. Rice was 2 different types....both great. The side of garlic was perfect....not overpowering. The presentation was beautiful as they garnished it and even cut the sandwich in half. Chicken was moist and flavorful. The pickles had a fresh, nice taste and crunch. Loved the craft of water so I didn't have to ask for refills. I will be craving this place as I live far away but will definitely find reasons to come back. I left the place happy, full and the pricing is cheap. read more

Purchased a Groupon to try this place out. We went there after lunch and the place was nearly empty. We ordered off the dinner menu. We presented the Groupon when the check came. We asked our waiter to check with the manager as we were unaware that there was a fine print requirement: the Groupon could only be used after 3 p.m. The manager would not accept the Groupon although 3 p.m. was looming in the not so distant future. Rules are rules. I should have read the fine print. We liked the food...did not like the attitude. We won't be back. read more

I would like to say I have been eating here since they opened the doors. Beirut By Night has the best Deboned chicken in the city of Dearborn!!! I have never had a bad meal here ever!!! Give them a try you won't be disappointed. I alway order the Deboned chicken all dark meat white rice and there salad omg so good!!! Love this place! read more

Came for lunch and ordered the meat shwarma plate. The price was good (below $10) It came with choice is side salad or soup and choice of fries or rice. The portion serving was generous and filling. The staff was friendly and provided good service. I would recommend this place to someone! read more

too expensive for the quality of food they serve. Well over priced and not generous in their offerings. I had to ask them for every item before they bring it ( garlic, pita bread, etc) and they bring in very small portions. very stingy and way over priced. probably will never go there anymore. read more

We have been going to Beirut by Night for over 7 years- through the renovations and each and every time the food is always outstanding! My friend and I are very health conscious and the chefs there prepare the foul and tabouli without any oil or salt. We could eat there every single day! We always get food to go for the following day, but it never lasts til then! We've tried other similar restaurants but none of them even come close to this one, so we don't go anywhere else anymore. The wait staff is friendly pand the prices are fair. Outstanding and guaranteed to be delicious every single time! What more could a restaurant goer want?! My mouth is watering just thinking of the tangy, hearty and warm foul paired with the light and lemony tabouli. The honeymooner is a great juice and the pita bread is always hot and fresh! Can't wait to go back. Wish there was one closer to where I live! Thank you brother chefs extraordinaire! read more

The food is great dont get that wrong. the reason for the onbe star, is the service sucks! I like servers whom i dont have to flag down constently, and can never find. Beirut by Night is never crowded when i go in so im not really sure why i feel like my waitress has something better to do. If i happen to need something, i wave down a different waitress & she helps me with the remainder of my dinning experience, But then I'm confused on whom to leave the tip for. :/ Word of advise...if your going to eat there, just call in & carry out. so you dont have to worry about the waiting staff. read more

Simply amazing! My family stopped here after a visit at Henry Ford Museum/Greenfield Village. Restaurant was very clean and nicely decorated. Our server was friendly and exceptionally attentive. The food was some of the best middle eastern food I have ever had, the homemade bread was delicious, hummus and falafel were amazing. The mujadra was the BEST I have ever had. Since around July 2013 (when I started my new job in Dearborn) I was introduced to Beirut By Night and have been hooked ever since. The food is great and their garlic sauce is to die for. My job has used them for catering events and I go just about once a week. The people there are super nice and always welcome you with a smile. My favorite item from them (besides the garlic sauce) is there Chicken Shwarma and fresh baked pita bread that you can smell when you enter the restaurant. I would definitely recommend to anyone who is looking for great food, reasonable prices and warm friendly atmosphere to try Beirut By Night. read more

My boyfriend and I went to Beirut and had heard great things about the restaurant. I can't recall the meal exactly, but it was a platter containing chicken, lamb, and beef shwararma (sp), as well as hummus, stuffed grape leaves, and meat pies. I also ordered a Fatoush salad and lentil soup. (We were quite hungry!). The total was roughly 50-ish dollars. The waitress was great, and the food was amazing. We left with quite a bit of carryout! We went back for a second visit and it was amazing as well. Living in Dearborn Heights, I am around many middle eastern restaurants, and find this one to be exceptional. Despite the amazing food, I most definitely would not visit this restaurant again. Upon arriving at my table, my friend and I were greeted with not one, but two dirty cups. At first glance it looked normal but as I held it up to my face, I saw a lip stain on it. It doesn't end there. The food arrived fairly fast and a couple minutes into the meal, an old man who looked like some owner or manager took a seat at the table near us and started smoking like it was no big deal when there was a very clear "no smoking" sign just to his right. Normally I wouldn't care but the smoke and smell was really irritating my friend. To top that off, as I go to grab another French fry from my plate I spot a fairly long and curly piece of hair resting in between the fries. I did get a refund for the fries, but after that experience that left me both perplexed and disgusted, I would not visit this restaurant again. read more

I stumbled upon this place yesterday while I was in Dearborn Heights. I had an hour to kill and was a bit hungry(as usual). It was about 2pm in the afternoon so the place was pretty empty. Only a couple other tables of people were dining. The host was well spoken and you could tell he really wanted to make you feel welcome. I chose a table by the window and was impressed by the menu selection. Since this was lunch not dinner, I passed on the lamb chops and dinner entree's. I went with and order of meat filled grape leaves and the chicken shwarma sandwich. I was brought a basket of freshly baked bread and a whole pitcher of ice water. I always need to ask for water refills it seems, so this was a pleasant beginning. I asked for some garlic paste to go along with the bread and it was brought out promptly. The bread was awesome. It was the small puff pitas but so much softer than other places. My grape leaves came and I was pleased of the generous portion, accompanied by some rice pilaf and tabouli salad. Then my chicken swarma sandwich came right as I finished my first stuffed grape leaf. I tore into the chicken swarma and the flavor just exploded in my mouth. I alternated bites of sandwich, grape leaves and salad, sometimes stuffing into the pita bread. I really enjoyed everything. The waiter came by a couple times to check on me and was so humble when I said it was delicious. I will be back to try more of this menu. read more

It just doesn't get better than Beirut By Night when it comes to Middle Eastern food. I live in East Dearborn and have pretty much grown up on really good Lebanese food. When our little neighborhood restaurant closed down I was heartsick. Thank goodness a friend highly recommended Beirut By Night!! I go there at least once a week and have turned-on half my office building to their fabulous food. The Chicken Shwarma sandwich is to die for! The meat is flavorful and the pickle adds just the right amount of tartness and spice. The hummus is creamy and wonderful on the warm, just-out-of-the-oven pita bread made on the premises. When our office was discussing what restaurant we wanted to cater our Christmas party, staff resoundingly voted for Beirut By Night. The manager, Hassan, was very helpful and went out of his way to make sure we had a wonderful menu: Chicken Shwarma, Falafal, Mujadhara, Hummus, Fatoush Salad, Rice with Noodles, Pita and of course, the special garlic sauce to slather on just about everything. There was enough food for the party plus plenty of left overs for the next day. Everyone said it was the best food we've ever had at a holiday party!!! I would highly recommend Beruit By Night for anyone who wants authentic, fresh-made Lebanese food. read more

Today I decided to go try Beirut by night. When I walked in the waitress had seated me down on a booth that was literally falling apart it was horrible! After getting over the fact that I was sitting in a broken booth I then looked at the menu which were missing pages, besides that I just ordered the chicken shawrama dinner which came with rice and fattoush. When my waitress brought my fattoush I clearly told her no tomatoes and my salad had extra tomatoes in it, so basically they lack comprehension skills!! When she brought out the chicken and rice, the chicken looks like it was from the day before and I could tell by the color and it was just thrown in the microwave bc it was so hard after every minute went by! I had the worst experience!! I wish I would have gone to al ameer, at least at al ameer the owner isn't filling the air with cigarette smoke while I was trying to eat, the funny thing was it clearly stated no smoking. I would say the only thing I enjoyed was walking out of the restaurant but I would be lying bc as I was walking out the cook waved goodbye to me and he wasn't wearing any GLOVES and had salad dressing all over his hands i was sick to my stomach!!! This was a regular spot for me and my co-workers because the beef kabob is always tender and delicious but the last few times we've ordered the food has been terrible and the service is unspeakably bad. I ordered a salad with chicken and before I left I asked to make sure the dressing was in the bag because they forgot it before, the woman confirmed. Of course it wasn't in there and I by the time I made it back to the office because of the slow service, my lunch was over. I called only to be told that I could pick up some dressing later or on my way home. I was appalled that they would think that resolved the situation. I told her that I would be returning the food and I wanted a refund but she said that they would not do that and they wouldn't offer me a salad the following day either, only dressing. If you call when they first open, the same woman will exclaim "we JUST opened!", they heat the bread and rice in microwave and rarely are things made fresh. Save your time, there are plenty of great Mediterranean places in Dearborn. You lost our business, Beirut by night! read more
