We have been stopping here for years. Best Mediterranean food in Toledo! The food and service are always great!

This place used to be wonderful... top restaurant in the area for sure. Their quality and attention to detail has wained and it's a shame.

My favorite restaurant of all time!! Great service, authentic Mediterranean food and atmosphere. I make a point to go every time I am back home. Our family orders our favorites and we just pass it all around. We also have had them cater for large family events. Highly recommend!!!

Fatoush to the left and chicken schwarma and rice to the right. A side of "garlic" (extra$)

I got a carry out order. A friend d suggested this place. I was skeptical, having lived in metro Detroit. The food lacks flavor: not well prepared or presented. Huge chunks of vegetables in the fatoush and no lettuce. Dressing is mostly vinegar. Hummus needs more garlic and lemon juice. Very bland. Chicken schwarma isn't true "shaved" schwarma. Chunks. Poorly seasoned and dried out. This isn't food that is lovingly prepared. Just mediocre.

This place is obviously a favorite of the locals. There were a lot of greetings to regular patrons. We were seated in the bar area. Dim lighting and fun lamps made the ambiance very pleasant. Our server was a lovely young lady who was about to go to college at UM. We had shish kebab, chicken skewer, grape leaves, arayes, hummus, pita, and olives. The food was the best Lebanese I have had in years. My husband had a wonderful intro to this cuisine. We also had baklava and Turkish coffee. I will return here often during my three month stay in Toledo.

I get the hype now, food was super yummy and portion sizes were much larger than expected. Beef kebab was my favorite! The waitress was also very nice and helpful. Would love to come here again soon

This is my third visit to this restaurant. It is the only place where I would trust eating raw Kibbe. Everything on the menu is exceptional. The Fattoush tastes great but I think it was cut up too big and missing lettuce. Their grilled meats are tender, flavorful, and large portions. We ordered a side of hummus, a side of Kibbe, a side of falafel, and the grilled meat platter combo for two. There were four of us, and we could not finish what was in front of us. The service is outstanding, the prices are extremely reasonable, and the food is phenomenal. If you're going for the decor, this is not your place. The place probably has not been updated since 1972 :-) but that will not stop me from going back again and again.

I've been going there since 1978. One of Toledo's best. If you haven't tried Lebanese food, you've got to!

Bit strange, but you have to walk into the left and up the stairs. From there, there's a host stand to get you seated. When I got up the stairs the place was packed for a Thursday late afternoon. This must be a great local spot that no one wants to tell you about. I ordered the Charles & Charles rosé and was delighted by the flavor and not bad for the price. We were thinking of ordering a couple things so we could try them all so we ordered. 1/2 order of the "hommos", 1/2 order of the fatoosh and 1/2 order of the shish. Everything was absolutely amazing!!!

Between the four of us, we ordered three appetizers and weren't even hungry when our lunches were delivered but we still enjoyed them and now we have leftovers for later. We absolutely loved the hommos, falafel, and fattoosh salad! Three of us ordered the Ara-yes Halabi upon the recommendation of the server and it was a great recommendation, we loved our meals. The last coworker ordered the hamburger (served on a pita) and it was absolutely massive. She enjoyed it and will be able to eat on it for days. I'll definitely be back!

While I did not experience the ambiance at Grape Leaf Diner today, I can say from a past visit that the atmosphere is clean, bright with lots of windows, and with comfortable chairs and booths. The restaurant is located near or within a small strip mall at the Holland, OH location. (The Grape Leaf Express location in Toledo, OH located on Monroe St near Franklin Park Mall is also in a strip mall.) The food ordered today included chicken shawarma, yellow rice with vegetables (green beans, corn and peas), hummus, pita bread, and a Greek salad. There was also a dish of grilled vegetables that included squash and zucchini. While I didn't want to be rude and photograph food in the middle of the party, I took some screenshots posted by the restaurant to give you an idea of the food presentation. The salad ingredients were very fresh and delicious. Hummus was perfectly flavored. I always wish that Mediterranean rice had more vegetables, though it was delicious. I found the chicken shawarma a bit salty, but I'm salt-sensitive, so most people probably would love it; the meat was lean. As for the zucchini and squash vegetables, they looked delicious but we didn't have plastic knives, and I couldn't manage to cut them or eat them with the plastic forks. It was a beautiful presentation and I recommend that you give this restaurant a try! A tip for summer weather: the A/C was cranked up high when I was last there... maybe bring a jacket or sweater if you tend to run cold.
