We sat down and decided on what we wanted the waitresses kept coming out of the kitchen with some amazing looking plates of food and drinks. Then we go our food I had order the country fried steak it was delicious their house fries were great too. We also shared a pancake and let me tell you it was one of the best pancakes I've ever had it melted in your mouth with every bite. I chased the pancake with a hazelnut iced latte, the expreso shot in the latte was strong and lingered which made the coffee taste even better .I would recommend, the wait was worth it! read more

This was honestly the WORST dining experience I have ever had. Our Waitress, Sherri Y, made our experience terrible by acting like everything we asked for was a burden or too hard for her and would mumble under her breath (I asked to add chocolate chips to my child's pancake) and be extremely deceptive the entire time about little charges I had no idea about.. being my first time there. I was really hoping for a good brunch, and the restaurant was beautiful! It was a 1950s-style diner with a great atmosphere, but the waitresses, with their sour faces and attitudes, were distracting, to say the least. We ordered our food; I got the veggie burrito. Sherri asked me if I wanted salsa and sour cream on the side. I said sure! I started to realize she might be charging me for things I'm unaware of when I asked for hot tea and honey. I ended up getting the honey first from someone else who brought it over because she forgot my tea for some time before even noticing. The honey came in a little sealed jar. I asked her, when she finally brought my tea, if I had to pay for the honey. She told me it was 1.75 for it! She could tell I was shocked and got huffy-puffy with me and said, "What, you don't want your tea now?" and I told her I did, but I never opened the honey because I was catching on to what she was doing. I eventually told her to take the honey jar back, and I would use sugar instead. When we asked her for boxes, she brought them to us and just stood there, interrupting our conversation, forcing us to check out right then and there! It was super uncomfortable... I was feeling suspicious of her, so I asked to see my receipt because she obviously wasn't planning on giving me one. She wanted me to pay directly on her toast tablet and do it immediately because she was just awkwardly standing there! And as I asked for a receipt, we told her we wanted to split the pancake we shared because we were paying separately. She became noticeably agitated and said she wouldn't be able to print my receipt then.. which didn't make any sense at all. My friend and I both used those toast tablets at prior serving jobs, we knew she was being fishy. We told her just don't split it then, bring us receipts. She brought them with an attitude and bad energy and walked away. I was charged for the salsa and sour cream she OFFERED me without letting me know they were an upcharge! My home fries came out burnt, and the burrito had absolutely no flavor. I didn't even use the sour cream; I was debating asking for a manager and getting it off my bill... but my friend and I figured if she has been here this long with that kind of service, management obviously doesn't care and is in on the scheming behavior too. I DID NOT tip her, because she was being deceptive the entire time. I did not ASK for sour cream and salsa; she offered it to me and never let me know it was an upcharge. Her attitude is also a big factor in why she did not get a tip from me, and I'm usually a 20 percent or more tipper. She also quickly turned it away from me when I was signing the tablet and mumbled something again, then went over to another waitress, and i could visibly see her talking crap about me. I tried to call and talk to a manager, but you can't call to talk to anyone; they don't even have a welcoming voicemail! I will NEVER EVERRRRRRRRR go back to this place, and I will tell everyone I know about the experience too. Stay away from this soul-sucking place! read more

The service was on point, the food came out hot & delicious (I had the Piggly Wiggly omelette w/ grits and an Espresso Martini) and the place was pretty packed! I love to support local businesses and have been here several times in my life (I am born/raised here) so I felt the need to give them a great review!! I had been craving pancakes for quite some time and decided to try Bel Aire Pancake House! Super cute restaurant.. looks like something that should be in Grease. It's a lot bigger inside than it appears to be outside. We were able to get seated immediately! They have a huge food menu and drink menu with options for everybody. I had the Belly Blaster that came with 2 huge pancakes, I chose scrambled eggs with cheddar cheese, bacon, and home fries. I also had the baileys and coffee with whipped cream. Both the food and drinks were amazing! We totally could've shared the pancakes they were that big. Our server Sherry was super nice and came back and checked on us often. My ONLY complaint is they don't have lemons for lemon water. They give you lemon juice packets, but they 100% lemon juice concentrate with "added ingredients" safe to say I passed on that lol but other than that, I will totally be back! Server was nice and helpful with picking from the menu. The orders came out correct. The pancakes were a lot bigger than I expected, apparently the biggest in the area. Potato's were seasoned. Sausage wasn't too greasy. The burrito meal was fulfilling too. Had to get some of it to-go. Wish the potatoes inside of the burrito were the same as the seasoned potatoes on the side. All was good but we found it funny the "cheesy" grits had a slice of american cheese on them. Large portion of pancakes for around $16, if going out for breakfast I would order here again, overall cost around $55 for two people. Accessibility: Wheelchair ramp in the front slight ramp ish bump upon entry to the restroom. Bathroom sink does not have room for legs if using a wheelchair and larger stall is not very roomy. Once in the restaurant there are steps down to an additional seating area but you are able to enjoy the full experience without using any steps otherwise! Was pretty loud when we went on a Saturday morning, but I added noise cancelling earbuds and was fine. The food at this restaurant was simply divine. I love the Customer service and the ambience. It did not take long for the food to arrive at the table. I had the pancakes which I was told they have some of the largest pancakes in the 757 area. I love the crispy edges and the toppings. There are a variety of different toppings that you can try. This was an absolute superb visit. I would definitely try them again and again and again. Make sure when you visit try the humongous pancakes. You will not regret it. I came here on the suggestion of a friend who told me that the breakfast here was better than Sandfiddler Cafe, which I love, so I had to check it out for myself. The atmosphere here is homely, like a diner out of a sitcom in the 90s or something; this place is definitely frozen in time. As for their food selection, they have an extensive menu. There's ample breakfast and lunch items to choose from. I opted on the country fried steak breakfast, with scrambled eggs with cheddar, sourdough toast, and home fries loaded with bacon, onions and cheddar. Everything was delicious. I highly recommend what I had here (especially the sourdough toast. it was the best ever.) Overall the Bel Aire Pancake house has good food and good service, and I believe that it is right on par with the Sandfiddler Cafe. Overpriced mediocre food. I ordered potato pancakes. Now when you hear the word "pancake" what size comes to mind? On the small end something like a silver dollar on the big end maybe as large as the plate, and anything in the middle is reasonable. So I ordered the polish breakfast that had potato pancakes and I shit you not they brought two of the smallest pieces of kielbasa sausage two slices of bread and four of these potato "pancakes". Each one wasn't even as big as an old 50 cent coin. These things were TINY. I had my son with me and I got him a chocolate chip pancake and a juice, I also ordered coffee. Grand total of $38 and change for one adult meal and one kids meal, and I'm still HUNGRY. And I'm not some huge guy either, In 5"9' 215lbs so I'm not exactly some ogre with an endless appetite.
