I'd been meaning to stop by this place after always passing it on my way to work, and i'm glad I did! I got the almond croissant which was an absolute BANGER!! I always get almond croissants from coffee shops but wow this one has to be one of my favorites. The crunchy (sugar?) top coating and the filling were delectable. I got one of the seasonal spring drinks, called "Karl" which is a banana cold brew with cold foam. I don't even like cold brews since they tend to be super strong and pretty bitter, and banana can be a hit or miss, but I enjoyed the hell out of this drink. It was a bit sweet, which I like, and the cold brew itself had a banana flavor when I had just expected it to come from the cold foam. I didn't sit or stay inside as I had to go to work, but there are a few (maybe 5 I think?) chairs along a bar counter on the side. Plants in the window too which I love. The barista was nice and made the drinks quickly despite being there by herself early in the morning (or at least I didn't see another employee). I recommended this place to my coworkers and can't wait to go back and try the other drink options! read more

Came here on Sunday for some pastries. Didn't have to wait long, as only one other person was there. Theres a shared bar table along one wall with high top chairs and menu options at the counter + a chalkboard with seasonal drinks. I left with a Balthazar Bakery box with 4 items. The 2 Everything pastries were filled with what looked like spinach and cheese. Incredible when reheated, but I wish they were served warm. The cinnamon roll was good, but not standout. The pain au chocolat was tender and flaky. Ordered: Iced Biscoff Cookie Latte (~$9) Aya's take: I needed an afternoon pick-me-up and found myself at Daniel's. The Iced Biscoff Cookie Latte caught my eye as it was part coffee, part dessert. I'm obsessed with the homey feel of this coffee shop! I had no idea it existed and just so happened to spot it from across the street when I was in the area. There are so many different options for coffee, matcha, food, and more that it could get overwhelming, but I was particularly in love with the board that displayed all of the staff favorites. I wish I knew about this place earlier! Heard about this place on social media so I wanted to check out their coffee/latte drinks. Using La Colombe coffee, they offer a wide range of speciality lattes. I got the Benson which was a hazelnut white mocha. While I couldn't taste the hazelnut much, I did really enjoy the nicely blended white mocha and the appropriate sweetness. The Strawberry Draft Latte was very solid! Even with an extra espresso shot, the strawberry flavors were prominent but not overpowering or artificial. The espresso flavors in both drinks were good. Drinks came out pretty quick. The menu is physically spread out so I felt like I had to peak between customers to see all my options. The store itself only had a few high top table seating so its more of a grab and go place. They also do breakfast tacos and pastries so I'm hoping to try next time! read more

I really wanted to love it hear cause I had seen a bunch about this place. The interior is super cute and the green cups are awesome. My oat milk honey latte didn't really have much flavor it just tasted like milk. Obviously a latte has mostly milk but u couldn't taste the espresso at all. Also think $7 for a latte is steep especially since they use la colombe and not their own beans . This is just my opinion and the decor and everything really is fun! A pretty unexpectedly good place for a coffee. Daniel's is a very small coffee shop that serves La Colombe, one of the best around here. It also has some healthy treats that are vegan. Has fairly good prices especially on drip coffee and the lesser fancy ones. They also make their own seasonal blends which not only taste good but smell really good too. Cute, if you can say that about a coffee shop or any business. It only has a counter and a couple seats inside so it's not much of a hangout. This is mostly a get a cup of coffee and move on kind of place. It's $2.75 for a regular drip. That price can hardly be beat around here. How can it go on with low prices on coffee? They also sell expensive vegan friendly treats. Mostly the Rawmantic Bar. This is raw and vegan. It's about $5 each. These are pretty good to munch on between sips. Could be the smallest coffee shop you'll see but there's even smaller if you can believe it. It has great products for the most part. There's not much room to hang out so it's not a good place for working. read more

Daniel's Coffee looked promising when I visited the first time. I've heard a lot about La Colombe Coffee Roasters. I'm definitely not a coffee expert but this coffee didn't taste like the Colombian Coffee I've had at other places. Like I say, if I need two Sweet n Low to rid it of the off taste then it's not for me. It wasn't bitter, it just tasted bland. I like the taste of coffee! I'm giving it three stars. After coming to Daniel's Coffee, I realized that I should have come here sooner having passed it many times in my neighborhood. I ordered the Dulce De Leche coffee drink with espresso. It was deliciously smoothe and not too sweet either! It was pricier than I thought it would be, but totally worth it and the size is larger than a grande cup at Starbucks. :) Even though it's compact, Daniel's is definitely a standout. The tropical wallpaper, neon signage, and lots of plants and merchandise really do make this place unique and compelling. The marble green barista station balances it out with a touch of sophistication. The barista was really nice and helped explain to me the different "Barista Spring Favorites" coffee drinks. I also got the sense of true passion, authenticity, and commitment for serving quality coffee as a local small business. I'm excited to try more coffee at Daniel's in the future! read more

I have only made a couple trips into Manhattan during Covid, and I am very excited I stopped here! I had heard about this place months ago, when they announced they were opening on the East Coast. Their instagram really caught my eye, especially since they were coming to the Upper East Side by where I work. The coffee shop itself is quite small, but cute and cozy. The barista was very friendly when I asked her advice on what to order. I ended up ordering an iced vanilla latte, which was perfect. I was almost going to pair it with a pastry (Balthazar!) but decided not to. Truly discovered a new gem on the UES. So glad I stopped by this weekend and got to experience what Daniel and his team have to offer. Not only is the coffee all by La Colombe which is a huge plus, but the team curates a specialty seasonal menu which rotates. I tried the classic honey oat milk latte which is a must, smooth and creamy without too much sweetness. They also just launched a collab with Uptaco serving a variety of breakfast wraps. Five stars for A coffee shop if it meets some basic requirements: cleanliness, friendliness, deliciousness. A student of mine recommended this place, and it's a gem of a discovery. Daniels Coffee and More serves Balthazar pastries (the best in NYC) , and if you're looking for something a little healthier, it also offers a variety of standard smoothies, add-hot water-oatmeal's, and your typical upscale breakfast drinks. The coffee itself is delicious, and the baristas are quick to supply a variety of different milks. I'm typically only in this area for a dentist or doctor appointment, and when that happens my goal is always to stop at Daniel's. You should, too! Just know that if you go back to the shop after a 90 minute doctors appointment and want to warm up your coffee cup, there are no free refills. read more

This is the newest La Colombe based coffee joint in the local area and it's easily the best one. Very nice staff here. Their shakerato is fantastic and just as good as the Italian spots I have been to. Their cappuccino is also good but I primarily go for their shakerato. read more

I already had coffee at work and had just upped my stash of Oatly but who can pass up a cup of La Colombe. Plus, is never seen them before, so why not! The baristas were incredibly friendly and gave me plenty of time to read the menu and decide on my order. I ended up going for the New York mocha, which is a white + dark mocha, and it was absolutely delicious, although definitely on the sweeter side. I also ordered the vegan chorizo breakfast taco, which wasn't really breakfast-y but delicious nonetheless. I walked by this coffee shop twice a day to and back from the 4, 5, 6 line and never thought anything about it. When I ran out of coffee beans at home and had to make a surprise trip to the work at 2am, I decided to reward myself by paying for my morning coffee and I think I may have screwed my wallet for the rest of time. This is probably one of the best coffees I've ever had. The regular iced coffee is strong, which is exactly how I like my coffee. Their highlights, in my opinion, are their specialty drinks with oat milk. I usually like my coffee black. I have a huge sweet tooth, which I'm trying to hold back, so sweeteners only when I've had a long night. But anything they make with oat milk is just plain amazing. The honey oat milk latte, black and white mocha... with oat milk, is amazing. The oat milk is so thick, plus how strong the coffee is, it goes together so well. The only down side is the steep price... but not going to argue for the quality. read more
