The one portion of the process that I was not as happy with was the counter tops; I chose specifically the pieces that I wanted and stated I liked a certain one for on the island due to the beautiful markings in the granite and the other piece to be used for the smaller hidden area side I even sent in a power point layout... that did not happen it was reversed and nothing to cure that once it is cut and installed so my recommendation is to sit down with the fabricator yourself if doing granite or marble that have different slabs that don't match up. Alex is incredible! He has fixed two major issues that occurred with my 8 yo IKEA-installed…read morekitchen over the last several years. First, IKEA did not install my dishwasher correctly and a couple of years after the install, it stopped closing correctly. Alex came and diagnosed exactly what the issue was! IKEA had not installed the side walls with true vertical separators. He found an ingenious solution to the problem and got it fixed at a very reasonable price. Then, most recently he re-engineered the rolling kitchen island that IKEA had installed for me. IKEA said it could not be fixed, it was past the warranty, and had to be totally replaced at a cost of thousands of dollars. But Alex, again found an ingenious fix. It is now working beautifully and is in perfect condition, and nothing needed replacing. I am telling you, sincerely, that this guy is incredible, both in his engineering and IKEA construction skills. Don't hesitate to use Alex for any IKEA issues or assembly. He is the very best and you are lucky if you find him.
