We were told a technician would be arriving to fix our plumbing issues between 8 to 10:30 am this morning. Guess what? No one showed up and there was no updates--unprofessional. I still gave them a chance by calling them to ask if they were still coming and waiting. At about 2 pm today a technician did arrive and then he said he'd have to go buy supplies--which is weird because why wasn't there shared notes between technicians regarding what was needed for the job--highly inefficient. So the technician left to the store after never actually working on our issue and never came back. We then got a call saying that they'd need to reschedule to Monday or Tuesday because the technician wasn't prepared. This doesn't work for us and we already communicated to the previous technician that Monday/Tuesday didn't work for us because we work full time. And regardless at this point, this business has proved itself to be inefficient and unreliable. I called the business to communicate again that Monday/Tuesday didn't work. I was told that I'd get called by a supervisor and they'd try to get someone out today. That was hours ago and there has been no communication since. Seems like the supervisors must not have a stand up character. The least they could do is call and apologize for the inconvenience. So in summary, Roto-Rooter is unprofessional and unreliable. Starting in the bathroom, instead of selling us his services, he told us honestly that we could fix it ourselves by purchasing a few items since they have a minimum charge that wasn't worth it for the bathroom fix. He took the time to walk us through how to fix it and why vinegar doesn't solve the root of the problem. He pointed out things from our paint to our bathroom ventilation issues that we should address. For the shed, he truthfully told us the cost of how much it would be for him to fix it versus us doing it ourselves or hiring some people he was training instead. He wasn't afraid to recommend other people instead of himself and I truly appreciated the information he gave us. We told him we wanted it to be a gym and he even gave recommendations on how to prevent moisture problems in the future. Sometimes it's tough with people being salespeople and selling their services (and I get that they need to sell themselves for their business) but I'm grateful to meet people like Marco who I'd definitely recommend to anyone who needed mold remediation services.

We received 3 quotes and decided to go with One Call Services. First contact was with Marco, the owner. Very friendly, professional and helpful. Jamie was the representative that came to the house to check out our situation so he could provide us with a quote. Again friendly, professional, knowledgable, did some preliminary testing with a meter, and walked us through the steps they would take so we knew exactly what to expect if we went with them. We had One Call Services' estimate by the end of that same day and were soon on their calendar. They give us a competitive quote - neither the highest or the lowest, BUT the real reason we chose One Call Services was a level of comfort and confidence that we received from both Marco and Jamie and the feel that this company had integrity; That they would do a good job and do it right so this wouldn't come back to haunt us again in another couple of years, and that they wouldn't take us for any more than was needed. A crew of 3 came to do the work - Jorge, John and Israel. Customer service is obviously a priority with this company. Again, these 3 guys were friendly, polite, considerate, respectful, clean, efficient and communicated well; Easy to have around the house. They efficiently prepped the house covering our floors and anything else that could not be moved out of the work area. Then they set up enclosures sealing off the work areas to prevent mold contamination while they removed the necessary materials. When all of the contaminated materials were bagged and removed, HEPA filters were set up to clean the air left in the chambers while the treated areas dried. From start to finish, we were very impressed with One Call Services and although I don't wish this need on anyone, we highly recommend them to anyone who does.

However, crawlspaces can get moldy and wet from lack of care. If you ever encounter rodents, there is a good chance they came via the crawlspace. After all, we do hear noises at night at times, which is creepy. Jacob visited and gave a comprehensive review and estimate. We basically went for a full package of rodent control, cleaning, and installing a new vapor shield to keep it dry. The while job took maybe 2.5 days with a crew of 3 workers each day. Outstanding quality work. First phase was sealing up the homes around the house and crawlspace, and laying traps. The attic was inspected too. This was followed up with weekly followups to ensure no more rodents. This scope was subcontracted to Golden State Critter Control. Highly recommend working with Greg. The next two phases involve cleaning and eventually reinstallation of the vapor shield. Compared to what we had before, it was day and night! I also appreciated the crew alerting me to a leaky drain pipe. I later worked with a plumber to replace a cracked 3"D drain pipe that connected upstairs to downstairs. It was fixed in about 3 hours with two plumbers. Definitely recommend Crawlspace Clean for rodent control and crawlspace cleaning. 5 stars.

I spent over $14,000 on rodent-proofing and subfloor insulation replacement, only for the rodents to return. When I called them back, I was informed that my one-year warranty had already expired. They charged me extra just to patch entry holes they had missed during the initial job. During that same visit, they claimed I now needed a vapor barrier, quoting me an astronomical $16,000--though they offered a high-pressure "$500 discount" if I signed the contract that very day. Feeling suspicious, I finally did what I should have done at the start and called three other highly rated contractors for estimates. Every single one of them came back with quotes under $7,600 (less than half of Crawl Space Clean's price), and all of them included a 3-year rodent warranty.
