    Just horrible

Ordered regular fries at a restaurant that specializes in fries. Why they look and tasted nasty?

I always look for something different/unique to eat while vacationing and found this while in Mississippi. This place is located directly inside Edgewater mall in their food court. Wow do they have a bunch of different fry combinations. I couldn't pick and the employee suggested the sampler. It's 3 small fries. We had the loaded, pizza and bbq pork. They were quickly made and came out screaming out! My kids favorite was the pizza. I found them all to be delicious and honestly can't pick which one I liked more. Happy we stopped to try it out. Should we ever be in the area again we will most definitely pay them another visit!

Half of pound of food. Fries, beef, bacon, tomatoes, cheese, lettuce, ketchup and mayonnaise sauce.

I tried it for first time today when i went on break from work. I order a small bacon and cheeseburger loaded fries. It was 7.48 after tax. Half a pound of food. Literally. Small is 6.99 and half a pound while a large is a full pound, i forgot how much.. 10.99?? My food came out fresh, fairly good time and LOADED with toppings of deliciouness. I was full off of almost half and had to save it. I even got started on a punch card because im definitely coming back here. =) maybe try taco fries next... =)

I was fortunate to stumble on this place when they were in Ocean Springs 3 years ago. My son, nephew and I met the owner (wife) and talked with her while we there. She was incredibly sweet. My son and nephew have asked me multiple times about going back to MS so they could get some more Belgican's. Sadly, we haven't been back until this week and I thought they were gone. Alas! I found they have a spot in the Edgewater Mall. (My nephew didn't make the trip with us this time.) My son and I made an afternoon of strolling the mall and getting some Belgican's. I ordered the small Buffalo Chicken and my son the small Nacho. Small is still half a pound of fries and toppings and yes, this really is a meal and not a snack. I love that I was given the option of blue cheese instead of ranch on the buffalo chicken. These are crispy fries topped with white meat chicken in small chunks and plenty of buffalo sauce and blue cheese. Yum! The Nacho option is topped with taco beef, cheese, shredded lettuce and tomatoes. Also Yum! I noticed a few people passing our tables took long glances to see what amazingness was happening. They made a beeline for the booth and ordered their own. (The girl gave me a thumbs up when she had her first bite of the buffalo chicken fries.) I live too far away to enjoy these sadly, but if you are nearby PLEASE CHECK THEM OUT!

I was pleasantly surprised when I tried this place. I was expecting sub par fries and kind of fast food type of taste but I was proven wrong. I got the large buffalo chicken fries and man, it's got some heat and large, is a lot! So if you've got the appetite, then a large would definitely fulfill you. Im excited to try the other ones they have. This is definitely not the last time I'll be getting some gourmet fries here.

Very good. We got the surf n turf and the chicken fajita fries. Everything was seasoned well and the staff was personable.

When I walked in, no one sat me down but I learned that's how Waffle House works. I came at around 10pm and the environment was very chill with no stress at all. I took a seat and then a couple minutes later, the waitress came to take my order. I ended up going with the biscuits and gravy, the waffle, and hash browns. The biscuits and gravy were nothing special and the hash browns were a bit oily, but the waffles were delicious. At the end of the day, everything was yummy overall and I can't complain too much. Something that really stood out to me was how much food I was getting for the amount of money that I paid. The waitress was extremely nice and helpful and she deserved a very nice tip. This gave me a really strong first impression of my first ever Waffle House. I will definitely be visiting other locations!

While in town for our yearly vacation, we decided on Woody's Roadside for a quick and easy dinner…read morebased on the reviews and pictures, as well as recommendations from a few locals. Unfortunately we were left pretty underwhelmed with the experience. It's not that Woody's is bad, per se, it just isn't...good. The service was great. Our server, Jaclyn, was very attentive and helpful. She didn't hover but she made sure we had what we needed and was nearby if we had questions or requests. Jaclyn recommended the margarita, which is where things started going downhill. My dad ordered a classic lime margarita and didn't take more than a couple drinks of it. We all tried it and agreed it just had a nasty flavor. Sort of like bad white grape juice? It was weird, and of course there's a little asterisk on the menu that notes all alcohol sales as final. We were unimpressed with that but didn't even try to argue the point. Our food came next. It was actually incredibly fast service, especially considering the 30-top that was seated when we arrived, with their orders given to the kitchen right before ours. Everything was hot and fresh, though not all delicious. Here's a run down of my family's reviews of their food: Build-A-Burger w/ Amer. cheese - A bit too thick and tough like the meat had been slightly overworked, but it had a great flavor and was seasoned well. The edges were burnt and it was well done, not medium well. Good beer-battered fries. Spicy Hawaiian chicken sandwich - Very flavorful and tropical but the toppings made the bun soggy and the ratio of filling to bun was way off, even with ham and lettuce removed. Crab cake tower - The fried green tomatoes and sauce were great, as was the corn bean salsa that came with it. The crab cakes were good too, though nothing special. The shrimp on top were juicy and well-seasoned. Wouldn't go back for it though. Korean pork tacos w/ mac & cheese - They were okay. The slaw included was a bit too sour but the pork was juicy and flavorful. The mac & cheese was too bland. Chicken strips & fries - The chicken tenders were cut wrong so they were hard to eat. I had to cut them up with a fork and knife to get bite-sized pieces that I could chew. They had a good flavor but the technique needs some work. The beer-battered fries have a strange seasoning on them that got more unpleasant the more I ate, but everyone else liked them, so that's probably just me. This is one of my least favorite restaurants we've been to on the Gulf Coast, which is unfortunate because I honestly thought I was going to like it a lot! For the price, I don't think this is a great place, especially because it's pretty out of the way from the main drag(s).

They had homemade tartar sauce she was just very obsessed with. The kids chicken strips were good portions for the price and tasted pretty good. On the flip side, I didn't really LOVE my swamp dog. The hot dog itself was lukewarm and I wasn't terribly impressed with the sauce on it. I did like the idea of it being on French bread. I'd love to see them either change up the sauce's ingredients or give chili a try. The French fries were pretty underseasoned and some of them tasted a little undercooked to me. As well seasoned as the fish and chicken were, I was a bit surprised by this. All 3 staff members were really wonderful. We were the only customers as we got there right after they opened. We were in and out very quickly and they were very sweet to our young children. It's got a great view on the balcony on the water. You'd expect the inside to be more dive bar than not but I was pretty pleased with how clean the inside was, especially the bathrooms! My only other complaint would be the lack of a drink menu. I'd love to see them add one, especially drink specials based on the location on the water. A lot of potential with that there. I'd say I'd give the experience a 3.5 out of 4 because of the hot dog and fries. However, I'll give it a 4 because they nailed everything else. I'll give it another visit sometime soon and order other food to see if an updated review could move the needle up or down.

Also order a half pound of the boiled shrimp. Shrimp came out first and the best thing that I can say is that they were eatable. Not for sure if they were freezer burnt prior to cooking, but being a life long coast guy, I have eaten freezer burnt shrimp at home cookouts and it was the same. Don't get me wrong, they were not horrible, but they should have been better. Now to the flounder. The presentation was nice and the taste of the fish was really good. The down side was the lemon cream topping that was added. My biggest complaint was that it was too sweet and thick. It would have been great over a cornbread or something like that, but in my opinion, it ruined the flounder. On a brighter note, the service is incredible. Not only was the food service great, but our waitress went above and beyond to strike up conversation while we waited on our food, despite the place being packed. 10/10 for the service; 3/10 on food served.
