Belinda always does a great job with my dogs. I've been going to her a few years. I like that it's not over booked like other grooming places I've been to. I feel her prices are fair, especially with my goldendoodle. A lot of groomers won't take doodles because they can be time consuming and need to be brushed or combed daily to prevent matting. I take mine twice a month, along with my older rescue dog. Both of them smell so good for a week after being groomed. The products she uses are good quality. read more

First of all, I see some pretty bad reviews on here and I notice that they are from Tucson, chandler, Menifee California, etc. You all are either reviewing the wrong business or you are related to her ex and just trying to ruin her business. No one believes that you drove 6 hours each way to get your dog groomed! Shame on you. We have been taking our dogs to Belinda's for many, many years now and we have never, ever had a problem. No injuries, no bad hair cuts, nothing even remotely wrong. We still use Belinda for all the dogs and we will continue to for all their needs. My poor bichon poodle wasn't groomed, merely shaved. What a joke to have left instructions with her to keep his face square like in a 'Teddy Bear' cut. He looks like a drenched rat. No shape at all. My dog doesn't like it either. Avoid this place. Rip off. read more

My first visit to Belinda's and after discussing the basics on the cut, etc, she quoted a price of $55.00. That was fine and what I was used to paying at my regular groomer (who was not going to be available for a couple more week). Since she doesn't take plastic, I went back home to wait for the call that he was ready for pickup and to get my checkbook. While at home, I received a call from her stating that my dog had fleas and she was required to treat him for fleas... an additional $10. I know for a fact that my dog did not have fleas... he never has had fleas since I have had him for over four years! That told me she was scamming me. How unfortunate for her because I was already going to give her a $10 tip, so she didn't get any more $$$$ from me. But, she did lose my future business. read more

Belinda listened to what I wanted and gave me great suggestions. The result was exactly what I wanted and my pup smells fantastic!! I took my miniature schnauzer to them to get groomed, after reading the reviews, which were mostly good. The people were nice, but when I came to pick up my dog her beard was cut so short she only had a few hairs on the sides by her mouth and her beard was shaved on her nose half way down the sides and she even had a couple of really long strands they missed that were way longer...and her hair wasn't just trimmed up, it was shorter than it has ever been! I never leave bad reviews, but if you have a schnauzer I would think twice before taking it there, mine doesn't have the schnauzer look at all and now I will have to wait a long time until her hair grows back to get her looking good again... I'm very disappointed to say the least... I definitely won't be back... read more

I will never take my dog there again, the owner was very rude. price went from an est of $45 on phone to $55 when I dropped her off to $65 when I went to picked her up. I was told I am a liar because I told her she is a terrier mix but owner says she is a schnauzer and she charges by dog breed. Only going by what my vet told me. I have a puppy who has never been groomed before and heard great things about Belinda's. I was wrong they did not know how to handle a puppies first grooming and stated that he is very misbehaved, and overall not a well trained dog. I get it if he was two or three and they were complaining but he is 10 months old and we made sure we stated that to before leaving him there. They said it would be between 75-85 dollars and it ended up costing a total of 140 dollars, my dog has nicks all over his tummy and testacles. If you have a dog that is young and have not been groomed before or very often I would not take him or her to belindas. read more

my mother( 80 years old) brought her dog in around 11am. owner said it would be a couple of hours for the dog needed to be shaved. she called about an hour 30 min into it and the owner said at least another hour. so my mother went home 15 20 min drive pending traffic owner called back stating dog was ready. my mother had already called her granddaughter to go pick up her dog. the owner started screaming at my mother told her she will charge for pet sitting ( this is around 2:30-3pm) and she wanted to go home. she used a lot of profanity including the F bomb. shook my mother up. dog looks good but very POOR customer service. have more respect for your elders!!! I recently got my two dogs groomed at this groomer and the experience was horrible. First, when I picked my dogs up they did not follow all my instructions. They both looked like rats not poodles, see the picture. When I took them home, the dogs nails were bleeding. So much so there was blood on my pants see pictures. For two dogs it took 7 hours to groom them and unknowing to me, she had two brand new people training to groom on my dogs. When I called and went back to the groomers I told Belinda, the owner, about the situation and I was met with hostility and was treated like I was stupid and naive. The owner did not even realize she did a bad job and no matter what I said she would not listen. I have to Say I am never going to return to Beinda's her treatment of me and my Dog's was horrible! My dogs were kept at her shop for hour's ( 7 Hours) in the kennels I am sure. They are both very small dogs without any fancy grooming, just haircuts, and I kept calling and she never got to them. the just stayed there and never got groomed??? I had been a client for a while at this time? I will never return. She had also set up appointment with me and never showed up. I had given he more then the benefit of a second of the doubt. It was a terrible experience!! I'm a very understanding person and have gone to groomers that haven't always done a good job but this has been the worst out of all of them!! I took 2 of my miniature poodles there and not only did they end up looking terrible( their hair was incredibly short, their ears were uneven, and they're nails were not cut properly) but the service we received was intolerable. Belinda herself is a very rude woman. You couldn't get a word past that woman, she herself as the owner could not recognize that both dogs looked awful. They were both bleeding from their toes which had never happened before and she tried to argue it was a common occurrence. We were so upset that we asked for our money back but in return she offered 10% for the next grooming as if we'd actually ever go back!! This review is the result of a very poor experience encountered yesterday at Belinda's Pet Salon. I recently moved to the Prescott area and, based on the reviews on Yelp, chose to take my 5 year old Shihtzu to be groomed. This would be the second time. The first time resulted in a similar experience, only not quite as poor. After picking Ely up, I had to re-trim her face when I got home. She was dropped off at 9:00 a.m. At 4:00 p.m. I called and she still was not finished. Needless to say, this timeframe was unacceptable. I thought I would give them another try, just in case it was an isolated incident. Last week I called and made another appointment for Wednesday at 12:00 p.m. Upon arrival, we discussed how she was to be groomed. They were supposed to not touch her beard and trim her body the same as last time. Belinda said she should be done somewhere around 4:00 p.m. She would call when finished. At 4:38 p.m. I called and she had not even been started. Gave an estimate of 6 to 6:30 p.m. At 7:00 p.m. Still no call. My husband and I went to pick her up at 7:15 p.m and they were still working on her. Of course, they could tell I was not happy. She was being groomed by a new person and as soon as I entered, Belinda took over. Ely had almost been shaved and her beard nearly cut off. They claimed she was matted, which was a lie, since I had brushed her 2 days before. They shaved her just to get her done! I have never written a review like this before, but felt compelled to do something to voice my frustration with the experience. There are plaques on the wall in the shop claiming to be the Best of Prescott Valley. Unbelievable! I regret even giving this place 1 star. If this place is the BEST, I would hate to encounter the worst!!! read more

The absolute worst ever. She has a very bad attitude and could care less if her clients are happy. She was also very abusive to our dogs. They were confined for over eight hours and possibly without water as they ran to the water bowl and emptied almost two of them. We should have learned our lesson when she did not show up the first day for our appointment. Our one dog looked like it had been trimmed with a weed wacker and some of their nails had NOT been clipped. She told us she had a new person she was training. Maybe she needs somebody that knows what they are doing to do the training. they shaved our dog, not what we had asked for and was very unprofessional and rude when it was addressed.

I was not impressed with them at all. All the dogs were loose in the same room. They had kennels, but they preferred not to leave them in the kennels. (Even with the nicest dogs, that is still scary). They gave me an initial quote for grooming my husky of about $80 on the high end. They called me about 20 minutes after I dropped him off, saying that it would be about $40 more from the high end that they had originally told me. I have never paid more than $80 to have my husky groomed even when he was at his worse. I was still pulling tuffs even after the grooming. They were nice, but I was not very impressed. read more

Horrible experience. Called and scheduled about a week out for my 2 "special needs" dogs (one is blind and the other is 15 with a lot of bumps or moles)...explained that I wanted 2 very experienced groomers. Belinda told me to bring them in at the same time and she would work on one and have another groomer work on the other at the same time so they could be done in an hour or hour and a half. Showed up a few minutes before appointment time and she said they were running way behind. Not only that, but she was the only experienced groomer and she was training 2 new groomers. 2 dogs were sitting in crates, 1 dog was running around on the floor, Belinda was answering phones, the 2 new groomers each had a dog on their tables and she estimated that my dogs "MIGHT" be done in 3 hours or more, but she really couldn't say for sure when the would be done, because they were so behind. I chose to walk out and not leave my dogs in her care, only to be left sitting in crates for who knows how long and then be subjected to groomers with no experience. She asked if I wanted to reschedule for another day. What a joke. NO! I absolutely do NOT want to reschedule for another day. I will take my dogs and my business elsewhere. read more
