i ordered from uber eats for bell diner, i didn't know that breakfast is not really complete, meaning i can't have my home fries with the spinach and feta cheese omelette and i added bacon and extra charge, i didn't fuckin know that substitution means they take that supposedly full breakfast platter, remove your home fries, so i'm stuck with a nasty tasting spinach and feta cheese omelette that had bacon inside of it and it's so nasty so salty it ruin my breakfast, soggy apple pie, soda in a plastic cup breakfast is very nasty tasting, it's horrible!!!!! i paid lots of money for a damn breakfast that is small shitty nasty taste!!! home fries was free it came with the damn platter why would i substitute that??!! nasty looking spinach and feta cheese omelette so nasty looking taste like salty shit!!!!! i'll never ever order or visit that shitty nasty place!!!!! ever!!!!!! read more

Street parking available and it's pretty decent I seem to find a spot every-time. The diner is well litt so you won't miss it. I've been here during morning and evening hours and service has been good both times, better in the AM. Nicely decorated inside with plants and other decor, it's not overwhelming with decor and is very clean. It feels good to enter a diner and get that good diner smell that's when you know it's good. The food is what you can expect from a diner, middle of road, but good taste. The place is clean, and they did a good job decorating for the season, ostensibly, a good diner. However, service was not the best , for me at least. I was alone sat quickly and while it was busy it was weird to see that 2 tables who sat after I did, with 2-4 peot per party, got their food much faster than I did. I don't believe I've come here for sit down but I've done take out a few times and just based on the food it's super tasty! Their chicken fingers are definitely a standout along with their backyard grilled chicken wrap and their southwestern turkey sandwich. There's a lot of stuff on this menu I haven't gotten around to trying yet since it's so extensive but I definitely plan to keep it in my takeout rotation. The Bell Diner is about two blocks away from my apartment. Their food is generally very good. They have plenty of menu selections. Portions are big. If you like burgers, they're great. They make great soups, and sandwiches too. I love their chili. Their coffee is really good. They have a wide selection of beverages. They make great cocktails. I love their smoothies. They recently added a number of new selections to the menu. The prices have gone up significantly due to high inflation, but are still reasonable. The wait staff is generally very good. The owners are nice to their customers, I enjoy sitting near the windows, so I can see activity going on in the street. The diner is very clean. Bell diner is pretty solid! I am a huge fan of diners in general since you get to pick from a wide array of choices and they tend to be family-owned. This diner had the classic diner feel and the typical menu items. I got the backyard burger deluxe which came with a delicious chipotle mayo sauce and fries (I opted to substitute sweet potato fries!). It was a really big burger about 1/2 lb and it was cooked just right. I was craving a burger and it definitely satisfied my craving. I ordered a Bacon Cheese Burger Medium Rare and Sweet potato fries and my friend ordered a grilled cheese and ice coffee that this meal cost $33 which is insane for the crap we got. The burger came out well done not once but twice and I asked the waitress does this look MR to you and she said from the cook that it bleed out wow that fast since the kitchen is less than 20ft to the table. The sweet potato fries where cold and soggy not crisp and fresh out of the fryer. He forgot the cheese both times as well and 2 small cold pieces of bacon on top of the bun. No presentation a crappy burger joint in California makes a better burger and that is saying allot and this was $18.50 The grilled cheese was like what you serve a child the smallest bread with the smallest amount of cheese with no condiments and this was $8.00 Ice Coffee with no refill was $3.75 Just crap food and the only good thing was the waitress she was nice and doing her job while the blond waitress is hanging all over the guy answering phones at the end of the counter doing nothing but grinding against the guy. Yeah, ambience in this small diner is about what you would expect for a small diner. The service is the best thing about this small diner, which has been in this neighborhood for many years. The food in this diner is horrible. There is no way to even soften the blow, I ordered a hamburger and french fries in a diner because it's standard diner fare. The hamburger was so greasy that it made me feel physically ill. I didn't eat the french fries after that. I've tried different items off the menu to be fair, as a sibling of mine actually likes the place. I had a grilled chicken sandwich once which was so dry I could've used it as a roof shingle, and it tasted like what I would imagine a roof shingle would taste like . The only thing I've ever had at this diner that tasted like what it was supposed to taste like was a cup of coffee and a bowl of ice cream don't even let me get started about what the rice pudding tastes like. The Bell Diner surprised me yet again I was pondering what to have for lunch and one of their lunch specials caught my eye. Old School Roast Sandwich. This meal came with the most delicious Greek Lemon Soup the chicken and the lemon flavor made my mouth water with all these fabulous flavor combinations. When the sandwich arrived the nicely cooked roast beef sat inside a fresh tasting ciabatta bread. OMG the meat and cheese and this tender bread was delicious and satisfying to say the least. It didn't stop there this special also came with a hearty salad and one of the best homemade Italian dressing I have ever had. Add my favorite drink a diet Pepsi to the mix and I ate like a king for a very reasonable price.. With side salad instead of fries The panini was grilled but the negative is the salad dressing mustve ran all on the bottom so the panini was soggy on one layer of bread. Girlfriend and I wanted some good diner food for a study session and decided to get it delivered to us. BIGGEST WASTE OF MONEY EVER. I ordered a medium well burger with cheese fries and while the burger was decent enough for me to put up with, their "cheese fries" left me disgusted. How are you going to charge us as much as you do for just literally throwing a blanket of cheese on fries and praying it melts. My girlfriend ordered a beef sandwich and it was comparable to SCHOOL FOOD. She couldn't even finish the first half of the sandwich because it tasted awful. honestly i used to go here all the time but they are way to expensive. and they charge 4% for credit card use. Usually the restaurant is supposed to cover those fees. Actual trash/mediocre diner for food that is likely supposed to cost 25-40% less. I highly suggest people to stop ordering from here and check out "Slim's Bagel" near springfield blvd where the starbucks is. Price is reasonable and trust me the quality slim's has is at least the same if not BETTER than the food at bell diner. Also they offer you bagels + butter with their breakfast platters. read more
