    Bacon burger

First time at this diner. Service was good and it looks clean. I took a star off because I saw my hamburger and salad sitting there on the counter for a good 10+ minutes before the waitress actually served it. The diner was not busy at the time either. Their Cobb salad was good and tasty but the burger was no longer hot off the grill. Prices here are reasonable. The burger and salad bill was less than $22 before tip.

I came here with my family for a birthday breakfast. Off the bat, the service was great. She took all our drink orders and quickly returned to take our food orders. She was very attentive throughout the whole dine in experience. Their coffee was strong which is always a plus. I ordered two eggs over easy with well done bacon and toast on the side. I also ordered a side of French toast. The eggs were cooked perfectly and the bacon was very crispy. The French toast was nothing very impressive, I have had better French toast in other diners. The only downfall of this place are the prices; they are a bit ridiculous. An egg omelette can cost $15-17 which I think is super expensive for an omelette.

We came for dinner on a Thursday night and was seated right away. We ordered an order of mozzarella sticks to start and a chicken souvlaki platter and chipotle bacon burger with sweet potato fries as our mains. Mozzarella sticks and burger were excellent and the highlight of our meal. I was expecting a little more flavor on the chicken for the chicken souvlaki platter at a Greek diner but overall not bad. Service was pretty good, found the prices to be a little on the higher end for a no frills diner although the portion sizes were decent.

Out of date, washed up and in need of some change. Their food is a hit or miss. The garnish used on some dishes are so unlatching and out of style you'd think you're being served in the 70's. Been here before, know what to expect and will be back again because it's not THAT bad, and it's definitely not THAT good either. It's just something to walk in and not have high expectations. Their portions are large, but so not worth the price. Stay FAR away from their Jumbo Bagel. It is t jumbo, and it comes on a desolate plate with a big square of fake cream cheese that YOU have to spread. It was SUCH an eyesore. But it's a diner. Go for the breakfast 100%!

Amazing food and service. I highly recommend visiting this diner. It's small but very accommodating. Staff is very pleasant!

I had an appointment with my cardiologist in March when Covid hit, so it got cancelled and finally rescheduled to his Whitestone Office yesterday. After finally finding non metered parking in the neighborhood (that took a few minutes), I spied this place while walking to his office. After my examination, where my pulse, blood oxygen, blood pressure and EKG all came back aces, I of course decided to stop at the diner to celebrate with a heart attack special, The French Toast Lumberjack. Due to Covid, they have outdoor seating in their quite spacious backyard. Service was attentive and the French Toast Lumberjack was delicious. I'll be back in six months after my next cardiologist appointment.

Prices are way too high: very disappointing because the food is very diner basic. Not worth it!

The menu is HUGE! The printed one is 4 pages long, all in a tiny font. Different variations of breaded chicken cutlet, grilled chicken, roast beef, pastrami, corned beef, turkey are combined with American cheese, mozzarella, muenster, provolone, pepper jack on rolls and heroes to make some awesome sandwiches. Toss in some balsamic, honey mustard, bacon, mozzarella sticks, onion rings, red peppers, lettuce, tomato & mayo and you'll have lunch for days. Most of the sandwiches are named by their contents like the Buffalo Chx, but many have unique names like the Corona, the Fat Cat or the Gimp. Then you have names to honor the 24 hr workers like the NYPD, FDNY & DSNY. Don't forget about the hamburger section of the menu, which has like 36 items listed. I'm not exactly sure what a Twin Chzburger Deluxe Couch is, but I have an idea and it kinda scares me. Cherry Valley is a little out of the way here in Northern Whitestone, Queens, which is why I haven't come here before, but I'm going to have to make it a personal mission to come back and try everything. If I'm going to be able to get through the entire menu in what's left of my lifetime, I gotta get started yesterday.

The food was flavorful, but it came out cold. Also, the pasta in my Primavera was undercooked and still hard. I think the dish would have been even better with a white sauce. Despite those issues, I'd definitely come back and give it another try because the view is absolutely amazing.

The restaurant itself is attractive, bright, spacious, and decidedly upscale. Although we had made a reservation, it really wasn't necessary on a weekday. The hostess warmly invited us to sit wherever we liked and promptly provided menus and a beverage list. Unfortunately, the service got off to a slow start. Despite the restaurant being nearly empty, it took quite a while for our server to acknowledge us and take our order. A few more minutes and we were prepared to leave. My dining companion ordered the hamburger, while I chose the Cubano sandwich. Both dishes were attractively presented and quite tasty. The food was definitely the highlight of the experience. Our primary disappointment was the service. The server never formally welcomed us or introduced herself. Given the Bally's brand and the restaurant's upscale appearance, I expected a more polished level of hospitality. Obtaining our check was also a lengthy process. At one point, our server appeared engaged in conversation with the bartender, then walked past our table and disappeared into the kitchen for several minutes. Upon her return, I had to raise my hand to get her attention. To be fair, she was pleasant and courteous, but she wasn't particularly attentive--especially considering that we appeared to be her only active table. I had noticed similar comments about inconsistent service in previous reviews and assumed they reflected busy weekend conditions. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case during our visit. We had considered staying for dessert, but decided against making the additional time investment. Now that I've experienced Bally's Waterfront Restaurant, I don't think I'll be returning.
