a cup of coffee on a table

I came here with my family for a birthday breakfast. Off the bat, the service was great. She took all our drink orders and quickly returned to take our food orders. She was very attentive throughout the whole dine in experience. Their coffee was strong which is always a plus. I ordered two eggs over easy with well done bacon and toast on the side. I also ordered a side of French toast. The eggs were cooked perfectly and the bacon was very crispy. The French toast was nothing very impressive, I have had better French toast in other diners. The only downfall of this place are the prices; they are a bit ridiculous. An egg omelette can cost $15-17 which I think is super expensive for an omelette.

We came for dinner on a Thursday night and was seated right away. We ordered an order of mozzarella sticks to start and a chicken souvlaki platter and chipotle bacon burger with sweet potato fries as our mains. Mozzarella sticks and burger were excellent and the highlight of our meal. I was expecting a little more flavor on the chicken for the chicken souvlaki platter at a Greek diner but overall not bad. Service was pretty good, found the prices to be a little on the higher end for a no frills diner although the portion sizes were decent.

Out of date, washed up and in need of some change. Their food is a hit or miss. The garnish used on some dishes are so unlatching and out of style you'd think you're being served in the 70's. Been here before, know what to expect and will be back again because it's not THAT bad, and it's definitely not THAT good either. It's just something to walk in and not have high expectations. Their portions are large, but so not worth the price. Stay FAR away from their Jumbo Bagel. It is t jumbo, and it comes on a desolate plate with a big square of fake cream cheese that YOU have to spread. It was SUCH an eyesore. But it's a diner. Go for the breakfast 100%!

Amazing food and service. I highly recommend visiting this diner. It's small but very accommodating. Staff is very pleasant!

I had an appointment with my cardiologist in March when Covid hit, so it got cancelled and finally rescheduled to his Whitestone Office yesterday. After finally finding non metered parking in the neighborhood (that took a few minutes), I spied this place while walking to his office. After my examination, where my pulse, blood oxygen, blood pressure and EKG all came back aces, I of course decided to stop at the diner to celebrate with a heart attack special, The French Toast Lumberjack. Due to Covid, they have outdoor seating in their quite spacious backyard. Service was attentive and the French Toast Lumberjack was delicious. I'll be back in six months after my next cardiologist appointment.

What was extra special this time was the fact then when I ordered my burger well done. This time it came out well done. Last time here my well done burger had pink in it. This has to be due to our waiter Peter was was awesome from the start. Great personality and vibe. Excellent food suggestions and Amazing customer service skills. I remember coming to this place in its previous iteration (think it was called Jackson Hole)..and was excited to be trying a new spot (at least it was new to us!) I ordered my chicken souvlaki platter, but asked them to hold the fries (and just add extra salad). Others at the table had the chicken avocado club sandwich and a BLT (no tomato). Everything arrived very quickly....super hot and fresh. The food was excellent! My souvlaki was cooked perfectly and the giant chunk of feta on top of the salad was delightful. I probably should've asked them to hold the pita, but I did indulge in most of it. The tzatziki sauce was also just right. Nice to know that there's another good diner to choose from in the old hood!

Nothing special other than it being my neighborhood spot. It's honestly a quick grab and go spot, literally a nyc Deli but they have alll the snacks and drinks you could think of/want after a night out. That being said, people typically come here for the same reason so expect it to be packed after hours. Also, in case you were thinking there are NO vapes, tobacco, paper products available here Grab another sub across the street at Christina's and compare the two with your boo and make it fun or somethin, see which y'all prefer! My husband and I took a late night drive, and afterwards wanted something to eat . I ordered the Patriot sandwich on a roll. It consisted of steak, bacon, mozerella, mustard, mayo and cheddar cheese. The sandwich was 20/10. It was fresh, cheesy and very meaty lol. They have all different types of sandwiches, with cool NYC names lol. You place your order, pay then step back and wait for it. My sandwich was done fairly fast, being there was a small crowd. If ever your in the area, and want a great sandwich I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place .
