I have been going to Synergy on and off now for about 3 years, and I have to say that I was really disappointed with my last couple of visits I made an appointment for a mani/pedi and showed up for my appointment on time. Now, when the owner Karen works on me, I always come out happy. But when someone else does my nails, it's never up to par. First with my pedi. I felt it was rushed. There was a woman who was sitting next to me also getting a pedi, and I started after her. So tell me how I finished before her. She didn't get any thing different in her pedi that I noticed and I felt her manicurist paid more attention to detail to her. Maybe it's because she was friends with the owner, which I don't think is fair. Second, my mani also felt rushed. I didn't feel like she did a good job pushing back and trimming my cuticles. I had asked the woman to cut down my nails to make them even, because some had broken, and she commented that I should leave it cuz it looks nice. Well, when i have 4 broken nails, she should listen to me and cut my nails. Which she did end up doing. She also continued to comment that my finger nails are much nicer than my toe nails. Now granted I don't have the best looking toe nails, but they aren't monstrous or anything, and I always try to keep them clean and nice. There is no reason the manicurist should even say anything about my nails. Shouldn't she just be doing her job? Anyways, when i left I was very disappointed. My feet were not scrubbed well with the pumice stone. My cuticles weren't completely trimmed. And the woman hurt me a couple of times with her tools. I do not see myself going back anytime soon. read more

I am one of Liz F's friends that she referred to synergy (I'm her best friend ACTUALLY hehe) Anyway, they flat out lied to us about those eyelash extensions. It says that they will not harm your natural eyelashes on their advertising and information packets. They did not last either. Yes, they looked good for a couple of days but regular fake eyelashes do too and don't ruin your natural lashes. I had to get countless fills and they said they would only cost $10. HA! I never had a $10 fill, they were usually $15 - $20 and one time was $50! The fills were painful because she used some really strong toxic smelling glue and it made my eyes hurt for the rest of the day. I ended up with half my lashes and bald spots. very ugly. Bottom Line: If the owner who applies the eyelashes has fake boobs but no fake eyelashes, there's somethin' fishy goin' on! read more

This is why I love making the drive out to Dublin to visit Synergy: 1. The owners and the employees are amazing. They are extremely friendly. 2. The place is CLEAN! 3. I can read gossip magazines without having to worry if someone sees me actually reading the articles 4. The employees are perfectionist. They do not rush you out the door when the polish is still wet. 5. You get to seat on a comfy massage chair (only for pedicures) and watch TV while you are getting a pedicure. 6. It's great fix for a hangover and food is allowed! 7. The prices are reasonable for the service provided. 8. Parking is free and plenty 9. They have a wide selection of pedicures/manicures. I've been going here for about 2 months now and this has to be the best nail salon I've ever been to! All the girls here are so friendly and nice and you can tell they love their job. Best service I've had at a nail salon by far. Last week, I needed to get my nails done so bad and I didn't get off work until 6:30. Mind you they close at 7. I called and asked if they were still taking appointments and they took me right away.. Once I got there I had tea waiting for me and they started my nails Immediately. When I was done about 7:30 they even offered to do my pedicure. I was shocked and I said "don't you want to go home?" The nail techs said "it's OK we are just thankful for your business" seriously in shock! Not a lot of business owners would do that for their customers. So impressed. You must go to his salon.. I always come into this nail salon. It's my go to spot. Their prices are reasonable especially for this area. I would highly recommend the mani and pedi package, the massages are to die for. The best massage I have had in my life. I have got gel done here before and it lasted a long time, my pedicures always last a long time also. They use great products and the shop is always clean with new nail colors. They also offer facials, waxing and eyelash extensions. Services performed: shellac mani pedicure eyebrow wax I went to synergy because I was in the area and it is close to where I work. Let me just say that it was an AMAZING experience. My best friend and I went in and we were serviced immediately. The pedicure that I got was $30 and it was a well spent $30. The equipment came out of a sterilized bag and she did a great job with my nail cuticles. She really took her time scrubbing my feet. She also took her time with the sugar scrub. She spent the majority of the time massaging my feet and she even did a hot stone massage. After the pedicure was done, they placed a small sign on the chair indicating that it was dirty.I also loved the way they waxed my eyebrows. I'm normally weary about trying new places, but they waxed them just like I wanted them, not to thin but just right. Most places make them to thin. Over all I will definitely return. read more

Came here the day before a wedding for all the groomsmen to pretty themselves up. Let me just say, this whole mani/pedi experience was enlightening. Comfy chairs, relaxing environment, and a friendly staff. I really have no clue what they did to my hands or legs, but I wasn't going to question them. I came here today using the new Groupon Now coupon. For $20, you get a pedicure and manicure, plus I had a credit for $15 so only had to pay $5! Score! The catch is...you must make an appointment in advance the day of (if you're using the Groupon Now of course) which can be tough especially on weekends. The staff was nice enough to accommodate me when I called this morning when they were booked up. I had the sport mani and pedi which was great. My nail technician, Tina did a pretty good job/very through and took her time. The massage was great also. This place had a decent selection of OPI polishes, was very clean (I watched the other workers clean/scrub the foot spas after use) and was reasonably priced. Would come here again but would recommend making an appointment in advance. There is also an independent hair stylist here and they do waxing/facial. read more

I am a pedi-holic and a germaphob so finding a place that is clean like synergy is a dream come true! The salon is fresh and clean looking. They leave a binder next to each pedi-chair with information about their cleaning practices and a log of the last time the chair was cleaned! In addition, they use the same nail file and buffer from the last time I came in - kept in a ziploc bag and filed away by name. And of course, they autoclave the equipment. I am also addicted to the Lash Extensions! They are amazing. Mary is the best and explains your choices, the procedure and care of the lashes very well. She also does good brows! My sets are still looking great when it's time for a fill and I can easily keep the same set for a couple fills with how good a job they do! Had to write a review after my second and LAST visit at Synergy for a pedicure/manicure. Once in the past, I had a GREAT experience there with DANNY who was not only super friendly and a great nail technician, I was eagerly looking to return. Fast forward to a few months later, I finally made an appointment to return for a mani/pedi. As I walked in at the appointed hour, the owner (don't know her name), glared at me like I walked into her own private home. How to feel welcome!! She asked me what I wanted? Well, I called for a mani/pedi .....she said to sit at the pedicure station. Ok, so on to the pedicure. My nail tech this time was not Danny but a woman who didn't speak to me. I also don't know her name b/c she never introduced herself either. When I tried to make conversation and asked her my ice breaking question, "when was the inside of the salon remodeled?" She responded with a "what, dummy?" look. That put an end to my attempts of any conversation. So how was the mani/pedi? I don't know, I am still limping from my left big toe being in total pain - swollen and red. The nail tech wasn't aware to NOT pull on skin with a tweezer on the side of the toe nail. Also, she wasn't aware of the level of pressure she put on my cuticles during the mani - I can't even wash my hands with soap b/c my left pinky and my right middle finger burn when I do. So, warning to others out there, avoid this place unless you want to be mistreated AND leave crippled! read more

We were able to bring appetizers and little Hor'deurves for us so we can enjoy our spa mani/pedi to the fullest! The whole team there was great! Not only did they take a long relaxing time caring for each of our individual needs, they were so accomodating to our little private party! This is actually my usual mani/pedi place. I have been going to Synergy Spa about once a month for years now and it is still TOPS in my book! I am a total convert to the new Shellac manis! This stuff lasts for weeks and looks FAB! It lasts 2-3 weeks but if I trim my nails halfway through I can go 4 weeks with minimal chips, even after cleaning out my garage! I think the prices have actually gone down. You can get a mani/pedi for $30, which includes arm and leg massage! Add $15 for the Shellac! Synergy has recently redecorated and looks great. Why 1 star? 2 for the lash extensions and 0 for the full set. This was my first time visiting this nail salon and by far the worst full set I've had in my entire life. I moved from Southern California a few years ago and still have not found a nail salon comparable to the one I used to go to. I decided to give Synergy a try due to the positive reviews. The nail technician was not careful or gentle at all, he burned me while sanding my nails and made my cuticles bleed on FOUR fingers! My thumb had the worst of it. He didn't even apologize or ask if I was ok. Instead he used liquid medication to stop the bleeding which discolored the acrylic. You could see the discoloration through the nail polish. To top it all off, it was already lifting by the next day... so I had to go back (an inconvenience for me) to get it redone. I am extremely disappointed with Synergy... although it is very clean, it does not make up for the nail tech's sloppy work. Mary did a great job on the lashes, but when each group started to come off, 3 or 4 of my lashes went with it. Now my lids have bald spots. I definitely will be opting for MAC's 1-time temporary lashes. I will not be returning to Synergy Nail Spa. read more

I have been coming to this salon since it opened a few years ago and have not gone anywhere since then. The main reason is because it is super super CLEAN and very friendly! I got a nail infection years ago from a nail salon in San Jose and still can't get rid of it. So, I really trust this place and have never had a problem. They even keep my own files, toe thingys and tools for me in a plastic container to use every time I come in. I have used their tanning beds, mystic tan (when they had one), facials, waxing, eyelash extensions, massage, manicure, pedicure, you name it, I've done it! I couldn't be more pleased with this place and come back time after time. Also, they have yummy snacks and drinks and every magazine you can imagine to read and catch up on the latest gossip and fashion trends. I finally found a place that knows how to do a great Shellac manicure - Synergy Nail!! Shellac is the best thing ever! I had my Shellac manicure done one week ago at Synergy Nail and my nails look like I just walked out of the salon . . . . no kidding! One full week and not one chip, not one tear! This is supposed to last for another week and I believe it! I had a pedicure done at the same time and not only was it a lovely experience - mmmmmm hot towls wrapped around your lower legs is sooooooo nice - but my polish looks great too! I'm hoping the pedicure polish will last for a few more weeks. Will I go back? Absolutely!! I don't know if I'll be getting Shellac manicures on a regular basis, but if they keep their special price for them that they have now I most definately will! Shellac is sooooo much better than doing your nails at home and having them chip within a day or two. There's no damage to your nail beds as it's just a regular manicure and the Shellac polish is painted on just like regular nail polish - the difference is that after each layer that is applied your have the nails cured in the UV lamp for a minute or two. Then bingo . . . you're done and ready to go!! LOVE IT!! read more

I also have lash extensions and have not had one problem. I went to Cancun for 3 weeks and snorkled and played on the beach everyday. It was wonderful not to have mascara smeared all over my eyes! Mary my lash technician carefuly explained how to care for my new lashes. ( No rubbing your eyes, or using makeup remover. And even mentioned to be careful when opening my oven door. Lashes will friz up if exposed to high heat. I like to have my lash fill every two weeks.......mostly because I need eyebrow waxing not because my lashes look bad. I have never had a fill be more than $20. I have had my lash extentions removed professionly and suffered no eyelash loss of any kind. What I did notice though was how much better I looked with them and put them right back on! THIS IS A WONDERFUL SALON ! My 2nd time getting shellac nails and my expectation was not high since the 1st one was done at another Dublin nail establishment. Alexis greeted me when I arrived at Synergy and immediately started removing the old shellac from my nails. I did noticed that the place is very nice and like others mentioned, CLEAN. Anyways, I was nervous about picking the color black thinking it might be too unprofessional, but Alexis quickly provided me an sample and reassured me that it was classy and actually very pretty. I trsuted her and boy, I was impressed! She has only been there 3 months she was so GOOD! Not only she was detailed, she took her time and the nails looked stunning by the time she was done. First few times I went I was just fine with it but the last time I went I and my friend did not have an appointment and we were neglected while the other people with an appointment were tended to. This maybe wouldn't have bothered me so much if one the nail techs didn't come by and start chopping away at my nails and then leave to tend to an appointment. Then I had another nail tech come and start on my nails. She then chopped more of my precious nails off. (I hate super short nails). She then rounded my nails but did a few weird chops of my nail to make them look like dagger shaped round nails instead of just a natural round -- maybe I didn't make myself clear enough? Overall, my friend and I were not impressed because the amount of waiting and how many times we had our nail ladies changed! I only plan on returning if I can't find another nail salon that believes in sanitation. This nail salon has sanitized sealed pouches (in fact it was so hot out of the cleaner that it burned me and the nail tech did apologize, but I'm not sure how in the world she was managing to hold them!). I went to this place for the first time today and I have to say, it is absolutely one of the best places to get your nails done. I've been to so many nail shops over the past 20 years is this is one of the best. The facility is very clean which was at the top of my list of importance. You fee welcomed as soon as you set foot into this spa and the decor and wall colors are soothing and pleasing to the eye. The owner and all of the employees are very friendly, professional and yet very personable. They have a conversation with you, not about you as is common in many other nail salons. This spa offers more than just nail services. You can get a massage, reflexology, facials and even make up application. The only thing they don't offer is hair services. You can even plan a girls night or afternoon out by bringing all your friends to the salon for pampering, wine, snacks (rose petals in the water while your soaking your feet!) and great fun! This place definitely gets an A+ for cleanliness. Having had several friends who've been in beauty school and shared the rules of conduct, and since I have worked extensively in food service, I have pretty high standards for sanitation, especially where my feet are concerned. I received a thorough pedicure from Danny. He was very nice and friendly and gave me excellent service. I'm sure he would have chatted with me if I'd made myself available to, but he didn't seem to mind that I was more interested in reading an E-Book I'd downloaded on my phone. He also got me a glass of wine, which was complimentary and quite nice. I got the Classic Spa pedicure for $30, they also have a $25 one, and a $40 option. Danny's capable hands made it worth the money. I have ridiculous callouses on my feet and around my toes because of dancing and he trimmed them up nicely. I agree with Miranda in that the chairs don't do much on the massaging end, and the foot massage itself really didn't phase me since I am always on my feet and need some deep tissue action for a rub to be really good. The sugar scrub was very nice on my feet and legs though, and I liked that there was more than one option for the scent of the lotion to be used. I just recently began coming to Synergy and I will continue coming here! Unlike numerous other nail salons I have been to, Synergy does not overbook clients. They take their time with each and every client so you never feel rushed. The salon is clean and the ambience is relaxing and calming unlike many other salons where staff are constantly talking to one another which makes it difficult to relax. They have tons of fun colors which are meticulously organized including mood polish, chrome polish, matte topcoat and mood chrome polish. The prices are reasonable for the area. I get the gel manicures and they easily last 3 weeks and could probably go a little longer if needed. read more

I was unimpressed by this place. I paid a whopping $55 for a gel mani and French tip pedi and I don't think I've ever paid that much at a nail salon before. At my two regular places a gel mani and pedi have never cost more than $45. It just would have been nice if prices were visibly posted. Not to mention that they cut and irritated my cuticles and then proceeded to spray alcohol on them, leaving them red and inflamed. I don't really have sensitive skin or nails and I've never been in so much pain getting my nails done. The actual pedicure was great and the woman doing the pedicure was very kind and professional. My gripe is with the staffing at front desk. I arrived at 3pm on Saturday with no appt. She told me it would be 10 - 15 minutes and asked me to pay then for my services. 40 min. later I ask her why she had said 15 minutes and asked me to pay if I was still not being seen. I had expected to be out of there in less than an hour - and if the wait was going to be an hour - I would not have paid $40 and waited. So maybe my suggestion would be either to make an appt. or to go somewhere else. I'd really probably give this place 3.5 stars. I loved that it is super clean. I definitely didn't feel like I was walking into a cheap place. But it comes with a price tag. The place is a bit overpriced and when I said I wanted a mani/pedi, the lady didn't tell me the various different types of mani/pedi combos they had. I didn't realize they have 3 different choices until I read a binder of their services while I was already in the chair. The service was good. At other salons, the ladies usually speak amongst themselves in another language... almost making you feel like they are talking about you... That wasn't the case here. They ladies made some small talk with me and my friend.. and then just let us relax and enjoy the mani/pedi. Other than that... nothing really special to make it stick out in my mind. If I could score more discount coupons, then I'd probably be back. Otherwise... the price may be the only thing to keep me away. read more
