I've been coming to this salon for over 3 years & I always leave loving my stubby fingers because they make these look so elegant! Often I have an idea of the color I like for my fingers & toes and may even bring a picture of a design which they execute well. But the best results have been when I let Vi or Moon work their creativeness. The Pretty in Pink by Vi is one example of this. (I really need to take more pics!). It shows how well she knows me & what I like. There was no way I could've described that 3D fleur-de-lis design on cat's eye polish. I love it! To complete my visits are the regular pedicures. However the foot massage that comes with it, makes it special. You just have to experience it to know what I mean. Vi and her team do an amazing job. It's hard to find nail technicians who know how to use the powder dip like they should be used. Attention to detail is amazing. I love that Vi listens to me and does exactly what I ask. Her prices are also very competitive. Other nail salons charge so much for just basic stuff. This place is small, but it's cute and definitely our new fave girls day spot! Everyone is so sweet and they do an amazing job! All ladies there are very accommodating and sweet. Our appointments were done on time which is important for me. I don't like waiting too long when I make an appointment. I saw a negative review on here about the color selection and it made me laugh! Super nice owners. Small parlor right next to bank head theatre. I'm 9 months pregnant and due in 2 weeks. Of course I tried to do my nails myself which did not go well. I was able to text LB two days before and was able to get in pretty quickly and right before lunar new year which is unheard of. Allison was so sweet and so amazing. I loved that she took her time and gave me exactly what I asked for. Pictures are definitely recommended! I was so relaxed that I definitely fell asleep at some points. They were extremely rude and do not communicate well. They are also very disorganized. Trying to pick a color for your nails is so crazy. It is like an avalanche of samples that cannot be managed because they are haphazardly thrown together all on one hornets nest of connected rings. . Don't try to specify who you want to do your manicure because they don't seem to understand and will get insulted. There are far better places to go all over this town. read more

Booked a last-minute appointment today and was super pleased with the results! Had pleasant conversation with all of the nail technicians, especially Vi, who turned out to be going to the same music festival that I had planned for this week! When I got home, i noticed that one hand did turn out different than the other (right hand a shade or two darker, and the nails a little longer too), but overall I am still super pleased with this set of acrylics! I almost did not get an appointment because it was full and Lunar New Years... Luckily Allison and Vi took me in. I'm from the Bay Area and only came to Livermore for a date with my boyfriend. I am so thankful they gave me an appointment. Along to add, Allison did great on assuring me to make sure I am getting what I want in terms of details. Vi also did great on shaping my nails. I was so pleased with their work I made sure to leave a tip and now a review. I've been going to Luminance for a few months now and so far I've like how my nails turn out. It's a very small shop and nothing fancy. All the technicians are very friendly. The parking garage is so close by, literally walk across the street and you're right there (next to Bankhead Theater). The one thing they don't do is trim your cuticles. So there's no soaking of your nails and trimming your cuticles. There's are some slight flaws but I have yet to get perfect nails from any salon. Pricing fluctuated depending on your design. I would recommend giving them a shot. read more

I cannot even begin to tell you how excited I was when I found Luminance Beauty. Livermore needed a great nail salon & Allison did not disappoint. I cannot even remember the last time I had a pedicure but with flip flops weather back, I was in needed. I sent a text to the number provided & the ladies got back to me super quickly. Showed up to my appointment a little early but was seated right away. Luminance is small but I appreciate the ambiance. Plenty of colors to choose from & massage chairs included.
