I sat with Vivian. I came in for a fill with a new design. I showed her the picture and she said she could do it. She did the whole base with the tan color, but then later told me that she couldn't do gold and only white. I didn't want white design, so I asked if she could do hearts but she brought out these stickers. I didn't really like them so I only picked two. If she told me initially that she couldn't do the gold design, I would've picked a different color... so I was kind of stuck with the tan base. The nails came out nice, but definitely not what I wanted. This place is good for solid nails, but I don't think designs are their specialty. read more

1 star for Van only. while she was nice and polite to myself the second I left my daughters there she was very rude and took the longest time answering phone calls walking around chatting with other coworkers and when I saw my daughter's nails I almost lost my mind they were lumpy and bumpy and the worst nail job was horrible The painting was yucky and she said she could do a specific design and she absolutely could not. Now less than a week later one of her nails already lifted and broke off it wasn't even basically attached to the nail it doesn't even look like it was ever attached. We came back and Anna was amazing as she was when she painted my nails when Van was done . Nightmare!! My hair was half way down my back, had been growing it out for years. I went in to have it trimmed and layers put in the front. This woman started cutting then took out razor and started cutting ! I stopped her and asked what she was doing, by this time I had a mullet. I actually started crying. I had to tell her just to finish and make it all even. My hair is now just below my neck. If I could sue I would. Had to go to another Salon to have it evened out! The worst hair experience!!! Came here over the weekend, and this place is the absolute worst place that I have ever gotten a mani pedi from. Again, I wish I got the ladies name that did my nails... but didn't. The spa itself is decent and clean. The workers are friendly. I did a gel mani - and the lady didn't ask me what shape I wanted my nails. I should have told her, instead of assuming that she would file my nail shape already. I guess round shape is a common shape? She made my nails look like a circle. I saw her cutting the sides of my nails, not knowing exactly what she was doing. I wish I stopped her. My nails were already a little short, but she made them even shorter. Painfully short. I watched her paint my nails. She did 2 coats of red, used alcohol to wipe it after it was dried, put 1 more coat of red, put 1 coat of top coat, then put another top coat. So I have 5 layers of polish on my nails. Normally, it's supposed to be 2 of the color and 1 top coat. Idk what this lady was thinking.Now I have little short round nails for Valentine's day. Great.... Will never return again. read more

LOVE THIS PLACE! First time coming here, took my husband who just finished healing from broken ankle surgery. The staff was super thoughtful, working hard to accommodate him and make sure he was comfortable, and that we were happy. The owner was really accommodating with scheduling, and their selection for pampering options far exceeds anyone else in the area. Best of all though are their pedicure chairs which are top notch! Even come complete with a leg rest so they can bring your feet to eye level when scrubbing and really get it allllllllllll. I lived in 3 different states/cities and I could never find anyone who could do as good a job on my nails as Vivian, so no doubt, she was the first person I called when I moved back to Dublin. They saved me. I should have listened to my mama! I was having a really bad night with my "regular" nail salon and walked out in a huff, nail still broken and they didn't care! I called my mom to vent when she said , " I told you to go to my salon". So I drove cross town and walked in. Was welcomed immediately, was told of course they would fix it and boy was it better experience already. My nail was repaired at the base where it was broken. They took great care in trying to match the very unique color I had on for less than a week. Even after I told them they could paint it any color just save my nail!!! I walked out for $5 smiling. The color is close enough I can go a few more weeks without changing color. Found out the price is LESS for the same services as my last place. The women here were nice and cared. The owner was present and knowledgeable. I plan to ONLY go here moving forward. This place is amazing. Not coming back. I said I want my natural nail to be long. The first thing the lady does was cut my nail completely off. I said I wanted gel and she put acrylics on my nails. Then she said sorry and insisted to do a dip nail. I said okay. I wanted lavender nails and they ended up being a pinkish clear. She said she was going to charge me $55 and charge me $60. I also gave her a $10 tip to be generous. Throughout the whole process, it was my mistake to say okay and just let it happen. Make sure you get what you want when you get your nails done. I will go back to Dee at Silk Nails. At least Dee cares that you like your nails. I want $70 back!!!! read more

Horrific first experience. They did nothing I asked, starting to feel like a rip-off salon with no actual talent/skill/quality. I asked for a soft gel builder set. I called a week in advance to ask about their services and to make sure they provided what I'm looking for. I'm from NYC and the nail art game over there is on a different league and it has been HELL trying to find nail salons on the same caliber, so i gave this salon a chance and just like all the other vitnamese salons i came across out here in the bay area suburbs. Another say yes to anything just to take your money. I asked on the phone if they use real gel and not just the fake plastics and she said yes, I asked of they do nail art and she said yes. I asked if they did nail art, and she said yes. When I came and showed a photo of what I wanted, the woman said she couldn't do that. Already off, but since I was already here, I decided to follow through with the service, and that was a horrible mistake. I was expecting a soft gel set, instead she cuts my natural nails and put on acrylics and I didn't even know they were acrylics at the time because I decided to put good faith and trust into the people because I'm paying for a service. She applies the acrylics to my tips, and in nyc, I'm used to gel extensions being applied to my whole nail. I wish I had listened to my gut and stopped the service. I paid 200+with tip for ugly chunky af nails, a simple design, and a small shitty unshiny gem which was "$20 extra"according to Hanna anyways, the next day i was adjusting my sheets for bed and my thumb nail rips off. Extremely painful, never had this happened. I called for a refund, and this lady really tried to blame me for their shitty service, lol. Disputing with my bank and ended up at a gorgeous salon called La Vie for much cheaper, and they can actually do designs and nail art!! Anu at LA Vie told me acrylics were actually on my nails and not gel lol and that it should've been applied to the whole nail because it needs a strong foundation. Ok... So I am a Beautician of 26 years... I Do Hair & Nails... and I am Picky... Verry Picky! Not in a bad way.. Not like Bitchy... but I know & understand the Sanitation aspect of the services.. & what can happen... I searched around on Yelp to find a Place to treat myself...& read alot of reviews... I had done a Bride & her Mother that morning for a wedding... & had decided to treat myself afterwards... I walked in... was immediately greeted.. they told me it would be 15-20 minutes til they could take me.. I said no problem.. they had a Nice Shrine in the front with LOTS of live plants... The smells of nails were not overpowering ( like some places ) and looked very clean! All the Pedicure stations were full of clients.... So I waited for my service... about 15 minutes later they sat me in a Loverly massage chair & got my feet to soaking.... I am VERY Ticklish... and I must say that despite a few times giggling like a Mad woman... Amy did a Great Job on My Feet.. it had been quite awhile since I had had someone else do my Pedicure.... Hot Stone Massage ( on top of a Reg Massage ) nice attention paid to the nails & cuticles... She even buffed the toenails ( which to Me is an essential part of a Pedicure.. the nail bed needs to be Smooth before you put polish on! They simply Look better! I brought my own polish.. they had no problem with that... I asked if she could add rhinestones around the cuticle area.... She couldn't... So She traded w/ another girl who could... And they look Loverly! While I was drying.. I asked if they could also do a Gel overlay on my nails... They said yes... and another girl ( Van ) took me for my nails as soon as she was free.... I didn't want tips.. just gel over my own nails... She did a Great job with my nails... they are not thick.. very natural looking.. but she did do Acrylic... not Gels.... So the only reason I didn;t give 5 stars... was I really wanted Gel over my nails.. not acrylic.. & The heels of my feet could have been smoother... But I must add here.. it has been over 6 months since my last Pedi... & she did take along tie doing the rest of my Feet... & My Heels are SUPER bad.... ( I walk barefoot Alot! @ home... ) & I didn't have unreasonable expectations.. I know that when I go back ( Regularly .... ) They will get better & better... As they will not have to spend so much time fixing how bad they were by My neglecting them... The Pedicure ( with the Rhinestones ) was $35 totally worth it! & The set of nails was $25... again I think a Fair price.... Highly recommend to CALL IN TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT. Before this place wasn't all too busy and there was plenty of walk ins. However, this place gets a lot of business now. My main reason I go here is for the eyelash extensions. I absolutely love Tara's work! I have been her client for almost two years. Ever since my first experience, I have never looked for a different salon. Tara has two set of different lashes now, and I have tried both sets. The first set I've had made my lashes look fuller and longer. For over a year I've used these lashes and never had any issues. They will last up to 2-3 weeks, but it varies depending on how well you take care of them. The second set were these lighter-feathery lashes. When Tara offered these, I was amazed. As she applied them, I barely felt any work being done. But when it was time to open my eyes, a full set of lashes appeared & I fell in love. So far I have had these lashes for about 3.5weeks. But that's because I take really good care of them. Maybe one of these days I'll post a video. FYI DO NOT wait to get a fill. The price varies because of the extra amount of time and labor. So if you want to save $$$ don't wait too long. I do not have anything negative to say but there are a few warnings I can give for FIRST TIMERS. I don't remember her name, but the lady at the front work station is the owner and does the best job on pedicures. There's another woman there that wears something like a lab coat; she's not a regular employee at this location, and is kind of sloppy with her work. The thing I like about this place is that they're flexible with appointments and always seem to have an opening when I need them. They're not the type who get angry if you're late for an appointment, and they expect the same courtesy from you if they're running a little behind. To me, that's perfect. There's nothing worse than nail people who are irritated by you because that's when they start "slipping up" and your cuticles pay the price. Price is average here; $20 for regular pedi, $25 for french pedi. The french really lasts a long time before the color starts looking ragged and unkempt. I'm coming back here! read more

They were my 4th try for a walk-in nail salon in the area for three (me, my daughter, and her bestie) for spontaneous pedicures. Not only were they nice and accommodating, they also were not rude over the phone about it! Yikes...this place is dirty and very unprofessional. My sister and I came here for a mani & pedi. We only came here (and strayed from our usual place which we LOVE) because my sister had a gift certificate for here. The pedicure chairs are look and feel like they are right out of 1980. The pedicure started out normal enough...we asked for a cup of water and 10 minutes later were given warm water in a styrofoam cup. Not exactly thirst quenching but whatever. They wanted to get started on our manicures while we were getting our pedicure. I had gel on my hands which I needed removed. The woman begins the process of removing the gel on my fingers...foal, acetone...usual process. Then...she begins scraping the gel off my fingers with her FINGERNAIL. YUCK. There are nail tools for this process. They charged me $3 extra for the finger scraping. The woman who was doing my manicure even sat on the side of the pedicure tub while painting my nails... Aside from the dirtiness they were very unprofessional...constant chatter among themselves, laughing, and pointing. Their attempts at conversation with us was poor and even rude. Our nails did not look bad and a few days later I still have no chipping. However... Bottom line, if I am going to pay to get my nails done I want it to be an enjoyable experience. I can achieve a no-chip manicure and pedicure without unpleasant nail scraping and insulting conversation at home myself. Oh, they also cut hair here so when you go to pay watch out for hair on the floor right in front of the register. It's a nice added touch. read more

So this is my new mani and pedi niche for as long as I am going to be around in Livermore. I've found the spot! I've been nail shop hopping for 3 years, and the one by Airway was overtaken by my mom's boyfriend, and it just causes a lot of drama when that happens. Not going into full details over it, but let's just say I'm embarrassed to go back there, even though I was the one that brought her there. Anyhow, I had Yen do both my mani and pedi. She is so friendly, soft-spoken, but spoke clearly. She is sweet, and did an excellent job! She has been doing nails for over 20 years, and it shows in her work. I also had a bit of ingrown toenail that she helped to relieve. I am thankful for that! My regular manicure lasted a full week without any chips too, so that is a plus. Her massages were AMAZING, and I spent quite a long time on the pedicure chair, completely relaxed. She even did a hot stone massage, which is included in their price for a regular pedicure. She massaged my full arms for my manicure, and I nearly fell asleep! I came back a couple of days ago for a polish change, which I do in between my manicures without spending too much money, but being able to keep my nails fresh. Vivian did them this time, because Yen was busy with another client when I called for an appointment earlier that day. Vivian was great too. I do highly recommend appointments, because they are usually pretty busy during mid-day to late afternoons. Because they give so much individual attention, walking in might have you wait for at least 15-20 minutes. This place is a hidden jewel next to ToGo's behind the Safeway by the Amador Shopping Center. it is well worth it to come here.
