I had pretty low expectations and expected to not enjoy dance classes since I don't like dancing that much, but it was honestly so much fun and gave me a lot of confidence going into the wedding! Hands down our favorite part of our wedding planning. We worked with Mallory who was not only an amazing dancing instructor, but absolute blast to work with. Half way through our time with her, we changed our first song, which was entirely different than what we initially chose. We had a blast learning this dance together and it was one of our most cherished moments of 2021. Neither of us have never ever danced before but we are so lucky and grateful to have had great teachers at Bella Ballroom to help guide us and create a fun dance that was so "us" . A little bit of everything and not afraid to be a little silly too . We took about 30 dance classes over the span of the year and practiced a lot . The performance on our wedding day was truly magical but looking back it really was the entire JOURNEY we'll always cherish most. Weekends spent at the studio stepping on each others toes. Week nights practicing in the kitchen while juggling cooking dinner. Watching replays of our practices over and over and over. Giggling with each other trying to guess how our guests will react to this surprise. When we started planning our wedding, I didn't want anything traditional, with the exception of the 1st dance, and if we were going to have a 1st dance, we MUST take lessons and not be the couple that seats for 3 minutes as the audience yawns. My (then fiancé/now husband) was super skeptical, but went along to Bella for a quick test run. When we met Tayler, she was warm, sweet and totally got our personalities right away.
