Shame on us. It is New Years Day and we didn't call the restaurant, but on Yelp and Bella's website it didn't say they were closed. We placed an online order for two pizzas and garlic cheese bread. Paid via Apple Pay, got a text confirmation and email confirmation. Was told food would be ready in about 50 minutes. Got to store...closed! Will be contacting store tomorrow for refund or contacting our bank. Very frustrating that their system was allowed to take orders. Was actually looking forward to trying. Update: Third party app that does orders was able to cancel and refund order. Business needed to have shit off one order ability when closed.

This is one of my favorite pizza joints in Hilton Head. It's small, it's crowded but it has fantastic service. Also, their pizza is consistently top-notch.

Located at the North end of the island, in Port Royal Plaza. Charming ambiance, in & outside tables. Choose from a varied menu of classic Italian meals, although the ordinary pizza is amazing. Tender and flavorful crust, tasty toppings. (Available dine in, delivery or take away. Sold by the whole pie only, no slices.) Save room for dessert...they serve probably the best cannoli on the island! Our waitress Viviana treated us like family. Such a lovely experience, we almost hated to leave!

    mozzerla sticks

We ordered to go a medium pep pizza, a order of 10 bbq wings and a order of mozzarella sticks. $53 for that mind you. The mozzerla sticks tasted like soft cardboard absolutely no crunch or cheese pull. Perhaphs cuz they are "homemade" but it had absolutely no flavor, same thing with the pizza it was like 90% cheese and 5% sauce and pep. The crust was nice but again, bland and no flavor. The only thing that was kinda good was the wings but they were drencheddd in bbq sauce along with an extra side of sauce lol but they were cooked right i'll give them that. Anyways you're better off going to dominos. This is very much tourist trap. Do not waste ur money here. Plus we waited an hour for that food...

They brought out water and we ordered a bottle of wine. They have a pretty good wine selection. We both decided to do the 3 course for $45. I ordered the Ceaser salad and hubby got the Al Dente Salad. Both were good and lettuce was fresh. I chose the Chicken Parm with Linguine. It was a solid 4 out of 5 stars. The breading was good & it was baked with cheese melted over top. I deducted 1 star because the sauce was a tad bit too salty for my preference, but overall it was good. I would consider ordering this again here. Hubs got the Lasagna Rollatini with Sunday Ragout. I thought it looked very good but I don't eat beef, so I didn't try it. Hubs thought it was good. For dessert I ordered the Lemon Marscapone cake, which was delicious. It had great flavor but was not overly sweet. The marscapone icing was light and creamy. I would definitely order that again. My hubby doesn't typically care for lemon desserts, but he tried a couple of bites and was impressed. Hubs ordered the Italian Cheesecake and it was delicious as well. We both enjoyed it. Our service was outstanding and the person who brought out the wine was fringe and helpful as well. Hubby typically likes bread with his meal but we didn't order any. Next time we will have to try it.

I am not sure if we just caught them on a bad night, but overall the food was "meh". We arrived around 6 and were seated immediately. We started with a bottle of wine and they brought bread and garlic butter. The bread was nice and crusty and garlic butter was very good. I ordered the pear & gargonzola salad, which is normally one of my favorites. Unfortunately the baby mixed greens were not very fresh, when I was about halfway through I noticed browned leaves on my plate, which was not very appealing. Hubby ordered a ceaser salad and his lettuce looked much fresher and more appetizing than my salad. My next disappointment was when I wanted to order the Rotola di Spinaci. Our server said it was not avaliable. :-( I was in the mood for something with red sauce and there really weren't many options that sounded appealing to me since I dont eat beef or pork. The only other option I saw was eggplant parm, so I ordered that. Unfortunately the eggplant parm fell short for me. The eggplant was bland and tasted unseasoned. The homemade marinara was a little disappointing as well in that it wasn't a rich flavorful sauce. I would definitely not order this dish again here. My hubby ordered one of the specials - some sort of chicken with broccoli & green beans and pasta with a creamy white sauce. Hubs was pleased with his meal. Overall, the service was good, but not outstanding. I told my hubby after we finished that they probably just don't specialize in southern Italian dishes (with red sauce) because so many of the menu options were creamy or cheesy or butter/white wine sauce. If we decide to give them another try, I'd definitely stick to one of the white sauce options.

The staff continues to impress--attentive, warm, and they actually remembered us, which made the experience feel even more special. We even saw the young gentleman from Croatia again who had taken care of us on a previous visit--he was just as pleasant and even stopped by our table to say hello, which was such a nice touch. We dined later in the evening this time, and it was really special to see the staff, managers, and I believe even the owner all still there together. It felt less like coworkers and more like a family--which says a lot about a place. Food-wise, everything held up to our first visit (which is rare!). I couldn't resist and ordered the beef bourguignon again--still absolutely incredible. We also had escargot (note: it comes with béchamel unless you ask otherwise), and that amazing cassoulet loaded with different meats from the evening--it was spectacular. Safe to say this place is officially our favorite on the island... and yes, I'm still tempted to keep it a secret .
