Recommended by a long time resident of Port Angeles. Very accommodating when we called in and asked for a 30 minute delay. Water served in bottles on the table was fine, no unpleasant taste to us. Wine pours were very generous. Wedge salad was delicious and enough to split for 2. Halibut over pasta was inexpensive compared with Seattle and very generous portion. Service was slow to start but then the brought the entrees before we finished our salad. Our table mates could not finish the smoked salmon fettuccini or the spaghetti marinara because the portion was so big. A little slow getting the check. Are you here for Twilight lore? This is the restaurant Bella and Edward go to in the books after dress shopping in Port Angeles. It is also the restaurant I went to with my fiancé one night haha. We were craving something heavier since we had been hiking all day. While we could've gone with Bella's mushroom ravioli, we decided to go with things we were actually craving. The space is really cute. A bit Italian campy. It's right in the center of all the cute shops within Port Angeles. Our waiter was incredible. He deserves a million stars alone. He was super funny and charming. We ordered the caesar salad, focaccia, and chicken parmigiana. As someone who usually doesn't like red sauces, I liked that the chicken parm had a white sauce with it. My fiancé and I shared everything. The food was fine and got the job done. My table mates ordered the bruschetta, clam pasta, and Bella's mushroom ravioli and in comparison only the smoked salmon fettuccine and Bella's ravioli were the winners of the night. I called ahead to request a reservation on a Saturday evening and they were able to squeeze me in! When I arrived, the staff was extremely friendly and answered questions that we had about the menu. Unfortunately, some menu items were not available; however, we were able to choose other items to enjoy! The PNW chowder was delicious, but we could've split one instead of ordering two servings due to the size! I tried the clam linguine pasta and it was absolutely delicious. The clams were cooked beautifully and the seafood tasted fresh. However, the most notable reason for visiting this establishment was because of the Twilight theme. The only Italian Restaurant that can run out of chicken... I cannot imagine working in the service industry at a rather touristy location (apparently this was a place in those Twilight movies). Even the NC state trooper that gave me a speeding ticket once with a stern face was friendlier/inviting than the staff here. The food on the other hand was not good. I ordered the Bruchetta for a starter and it was edible but had to much minced garlic. The garlic was very overpowering and shouldn't be on Bruchetta. For my main course I ordered the Mushroom Ravioli, it had no flavor at all! The Ravioli didn't taste like mushroom, garlic, nothing! I honestly couldn't finish my meal. I paid and left. Opinions will vary with any dining experience but this is an honest opinion. For a known restaurant with many customers coming in for the movie notoriety, you should do better. read more

One of our many stops during our Twilight road trip. Now this is not actually a film location but it is mentioned in both the book and the movie. That being said they have included Bella's Mushroom Ravioli as part of their menu which I think is a cute inclusion. It was pretty busy, even for a Thursday night, so making reservations is probably a good idea. Both my wife and I had their Smoked Salmon Alfredo. First off the portion sizes are pretty good for the price. That being said, when it came to flavor, I felt like the dish was carried by the smoked salmon. I am vegetarian and ordered the pasta primavera. My partner was able to customize his order a bit since they were out of so many things, and landed on spaghetti with pesto sauce and chicken breast. We both could not stop raving about how fresh everything tasted. Although I was planning to get Bella's ravioli, I was actually pleasantly surprised with my choice of pasta primavera because of how delicious it was. They also give you fresh grated parmesan and fresh cracked pepper on your dishes. I also really loved the cherry lemonade! The tiramisu was good, but the ladyfingers were a little dense and there wasn't much of a coffee taste. It would also be cool if they had the Edward/Bella table more screen-accurate or something special on the table to show its significance. Its a lovely interior- well decorated, fun to look around, and obviously in theme with Twilight. But the food overall is ok. I came with a group and we all had various minor complaints with our orders- my pasta, while quite a large portion size, was way too lemony. The shrimp was overcooked and the zucchini was cold as well. One of my group said his duck was overcooked and the flavors of things were overall a bit unbalanced. I did not finish my dish (though im not sure if I could even if it was delicious- they do give a lot of pasta). It also took a long time to come out as something went wrong in the kitchen with our orders, and I didnt get my salad/appetizer until quite a while later (which I wouldn't recommend- it wasn't bad but very simple and it would be more worth it to throw it together at home). That being said. The service was lovely. Our waiter was very apologetic about the wait and offered to replace a dish we had an issue with free of charge. They also offered us free desserts to make up for the delays (the chocolate mousse is quite decent). If you're looking to have really good Italian food I cant necessarily recommend this place. But if you want a fun time, stellar service and ambience, and/or are a twilight fan well then you've come to the right place. Just maybe dont get the most expensive entree. Came mostly for the twilight vibes, but I was pleasantly surprised by the menu options! The food was pretty good. We had just finished a longer hike and were pretty hungry so we split the focaccia, Caesar, and geoduck soup, and then I had the mushroom ravioli for obvious reasons (and also because I'm pescatarian) which was solid and my partner had the chicken parm which he was very happy with. The drinks were pretty good, but perhaps a bit too sweet, and we really had to stir the cream soda to get it to mix. The servers were kind, but it took quite a while to be seated and then to order and then get the check, almost 2 hours total. I think they might have been understaffed perhaps, but that was my main negative of the experience. I would make sure you're not in a hurry. The ambiance was cute because it had all these romantic little booths and cool lighting. I was shopping in PA and discovered this delightful place. I wanted to practice my Universita per Stranieri Italialiano , none of the staff spoke the language. They staff are ver welcoming to casually dressed diner and the food is an interpretation of Italian cjisine using Northwest seafood The results are really flavorful. The restaurant had a staff of three so made it challenging to provide consistent services to the guest seated and arriving. The appetizer took a while to come out of the kitchen, we had the bruschetta. Dinner consisted of chicken Parmesan, vegan pasta and salmon pasta. The food was hot from the kitchen, plating was nice, however the food itself wasn't as tasty as we would have expected. I called ahead to request the corner booth table by the windows, which I would definitely recommend! The vibes in the whole restaurant were super cozy and romantic, but the corner booth really put it over the top. We ordered the Caesar salad, geoduck chowder, mushroom ravioli, and halibut special. Everything was delicious. The Caesar dressing tasted homemade and fresh. The chowder was creamy. The mushroom ravioli came with an Alfredo-esque sauce that was to die for. The halibut was flaky and served with a lemony risotto that was full of flavor. The service was also excellent--both our waitress and the hostess were welcoming and attentive. My group and I came here because they're twilight fans. However, I can't express how good this Italian food was. Walking in, the air is filled with oregano and fresh bread. They have an amazing wine list. Our server, Janet, was so sweet. If you come here, the bruschetta was some of the best I've ever had. It was so fresh and full of flavor. At the end of dinner, we found out that Janet is actually the baker! Her focaccia and lemon panna cotta (not pictured) were absolutely fabulous. They eventually brought out the bruschetta, but it arrived after our entrees. We also ended up being charged for the focaccia we didn't order. The cesar salad was great! Probably my favorite dish of the evening. The dressing was so good! The focaccia was also good. Very subtle rosemary, maybe a little too crispy on top. The bruschetta was way too garlicky. I ordered the Angel Hair e Gamberi entree. At first it had a nice lemon flavor, but eventually got lost in the puddle of oil beneath the pasta. Though a generous portion, absolutely not worth the $28 price tag. My partner got the butternut squash ravioli, also good, but the added chicken was maybe a little thin and overcooked. Bella Italia is a quant, romantic Italian restaurant located in Port Angeles with an outstanding menu which includes salads, fish, chicken and of course, PASTA dishes! Their bar is small but the bartender completely capable of fulfilling and order and their service is excellent! Afterwards, a good walk provides not just a great view of the nearby port area, you can take in many of the art installations the city offers! I took my sister, visiting from Hawaii, on a twilight tour to forks. Our trip was supposed to start here at Bella italia, but it ended here instead. This was due to their website showing the wrong hours. We showed up at 11am, and we weren't the only ones. 5 of us were outside waiting before someone called in and heard their hours on their voicemail. It's not even displayed on their door, and when you get a lot of travelers, this is pretty important, we planned our day around it and had to change all our plans to fit it in on the way back. Came back at 4, seated right away. Service was really good but TOO slow. I won't blame our server, he was the only one working for the entire restaurant and he was great. Took about an hour for us to get our food with only 2 other tables present. Which is...not good. As far as the food itself Geoduck chowder - 3/5 really good flavor but really thin, I like my chowder thicker, also couldn't find any geoduck. Pasta Primavera - 0/5 this was our fault. Didn't read the menu right. Literally just noodles and veggies, no sauce, no seasonings. Completely bland. Mushroom ravioli - 2/5 supposed to be the star of the show, it's ok. Squash ravioli - 4/5 this was really good, loved the sauce. Lemon panocotta - 3/5 not too sweet, really lemony, sauce didn't have much flavor though.
