My son enjoyed his food, he got a burger and fries, it looked good. I believe he got the kids menu and it looked like adult sized meal. I believe he even got more fries than me and I ordered the fish and chips. But I was still satisfied with the portion sizes of mine. The only thing, which I did get the fish and chips deal which was significantly cheaper, I wanna say it was like $10 anyway the fish wasn't all that it didn't taste fresh, but it was decent, and better than a couple other places for fish and chips in the area. So I'd say I got what I paid for. It was pretty good, the workers were nice. It's a cute little place, I've passed it many times, but we finally stopped and it was decent. This isn't our first visit to the Fairmount. We've popped in before during trips to salt creek campground or along the West Coast. This time we were on our way for an inaugural trip with our new little trailer. Hadn't had any breakfast in our eagerness to get out so we dropped in for a late one here. Had the Western Scramble special to share but also ordered the fries. Our dog loves fries as a road snack, but we are big fans too, dipped in tartar. While it seemed like the side of fries was expensive, it turned out to be a pretty large portion. We ate a bunch before tucking into our Scramble which was pretty tasty. The servers are super nice and constantly hopping. You can tell there are a lot of regulars that come in because a lot of them are greeted by name. why I won't be returning to your restaurant. On my last visit, I overheard your waitstaff, an older woman verbally tearing down a young woman who, ironically, was the only employee who ever made the place feel welcoming. She was the one bright spot in an otherwise disengaged team, and hearing her treated that way was uncomfortable and unprofessional. The rest of the staff come across as indifferent at best, and the dynamic felt more like jealousy and hostility than teamwork. It was unpleasant to witness, and it reflects poorly on the management culture. The food alone isn't strong enough to keep customers coming back, so the way staff treat each other matters. Speeding past for years, this lil roadside circular-shaped blue diner is worth a stop! Full wait service diner. They have both indoor and outdoor seating for summer days. Inside the diner section is cute old school booths and a counter seating the other seating is larger tables for groups. The menu is extensive breakfast options and lunch dinner burgers and lots of fried seafood options. The halibut fish and steak fries are on point! Loved the light mayo/vinegar style homemade slaw as well as the excellent homemade tarter sause, with lil pickles and perfectly done. They have s beer cooler now where you can choose from a variety of bottled beers to go with your lunch. We definitely will be back for the oyster combo platters and fish that is done perfectly, not greasy, fish is still moist under that crunch, yum! read more

We stopped at this place on our way to lake crescent. We ordered a bacon cheeseburger with a side of steak fries and grilled chicken sandwich with side salad. The burger was cooked fine and my wife loved her chicken sandwich. The chicken was juicy and the lettuce and tomatoes on both our dishes were very fresh. I personally hate steak fries but this place served good ones. They were crispy and not too thick. The ambience is just like any other diner and I loved it. Not pretentious at all. I had the clam chowder. It was a weird tannish brown color. It wasn't white or cream color. Not sure if any cream was in it. Tasted like a very thin mashed potatoes married potato soup with a few pieces of clam thrown in. The garlic bread was OK. Nothing special. Spent 15+ on food I couldn't eat. read more

On the way to Sol Duc springs passed by here and a fair amount of cars I figured that this might be a good place to stop on my way back to Seattle I did and grabbed a seat and went with the chicken fried steak and mashed potatoes Soup came with and clam chowder on offer so that was my pick there. Soup was great flavor and actually a lot of clams. Maybe a bit on the thick side and really filled me up. This place has been around for years. That's where we decided to go and so glad we did. The Crabhouse in Port Angeles should come by and take lessons. Our breakfast was delicious and our server was excellent. There was so much food on our plates that we couldn't eat it all. I guess there isn't much to say because I have nothing to complain about. Go to Sequim WA and stay on the 101 out to Crescent Bay to see the Ocean and then stop at the Fairmont Restaurant for an extra delicious Breakfast lunch or dinner. This place has Awesome Food and it has the feel of the old school diner. I snapped a few pictures of the perfect ice cold Lemonade. Had the best crispy on the outside yummy on the inside waffle with strawberries and whip cream. The prices aren't bad. It makes you feel like your on Vacation. The service is as good as the food. Kind attentive waitress Kylie let us sit at the table outside with our lil pup. I won't be able to do a beach run without stopping here next time. Loved it. read more

She finally took our order but forgot to bring a drink. Then got an order wrong. Of course this is only our experience, others may be better. i tried calling in an order while visiting in Joyce, she put the phone down and said she'd be with me, while heading into town I could hear everything going on in the restaurant. This continued for 15 minutes and got disconnected. I tried calling back and after 91 tries, she finally answered again and asked if I was the one that called earlier. I informed yes and that I was already in town, she said she was the only person working. well I told her it was inexcusable to for paying customer to be put aside for that long. Food is over priced and waitresses were beyond rude. Shawnna was our waitress, she pointed to a table for us to seat ourselves and threw silverware and a menu on the table. The staff is super friendly, and attentive. It is a small diner-feel, and as out-of-towners there were some regular customers that came in, and the staff already knew their order. I love that! The food was OK, and priced reasonably. We ordered breakfast, and then additional lunch to go. Food came up ready really quickly, and the salad we took to go was also very good and worth the price. The restaurant is located just west of Port Angeles and has it's own parking lot, which probably helps avoid the city traffic during busier months. The food was okay, but nothing special. The one nice thing i will say is that the food came out quickly. Unfortunately the classic combos menu was falsely advertising the listed sides available at no further charge. Potatoes (hash browns or home fries), & Toast or Pancakes (3) When the bill came my friend and i were both unexpectedly charged for the home fries/hash browns we ordered with our pancakes on the side because the waitress said the manager was changing the menu and now will only offer one pancake with any order of potatoes. Otherwise we will be charged for one item additionally. This was not in the menu at the time of our visit so i can't really believe they're charging us that way. Seems kind of inappropriate. To be honest i would have preferred just the single pancake over paying $6 extra for two more..? Even beyond that the servers didn't seem like they were very happy to be there. Which is understandable but i'd like to just note that i didn't complain and still tipped 20% because the menu being wrong isn't directly their responsibility. I will say though i definitely won't be going back or recommending this place to anyone any time soon. read more
