On top of that, waiter used bare hands to serve pizza in a take out box, but was handling checkbook two minutes prior. If you're looking for somewhere trustworthy and flavorful to eat at, I don't recommend. If you're super hungry, go for it! read more

Had an antipasto today, literally the best I've ever had. It had chopped cold cuts, lettuce, cucumber, olives, carrots, and some very good balsamic vinegar dressing. The owner was very sweet giving us options and just all around pleasant. We did take out so I can't talk to the ambiance. read more

This place has been on the list for a while to try. We always pass it on the weekends going to the Columbus flea market. On the way back we stopped in to order a pizza to go. We asked which one is the most popular and they said the Grandma Pie, which we ended up ordering. The place has a nice ambiance for eating in, which we might do in the future. We waited about 10 minutes for our order to be ready. We live about 10 minutes away so by the time we got home it had cooled down a bit. But even at a luke warm temperature, the pizza was great. It had a good balance of cheese and sauce, and a sweet sauce, which I like. The crust is smaller than a Sicilian but maybe a little puffier than I regular crust, but it is more crispy than puffy. Very good. We had plenty of leftovers which crisped up nicely in the air fryer. Will be back! read more

We only tried a large cheese pie and garlic knots. The pie was on the smaller side compared to other places in the area. The crust was a bit too thick for my taste and not crispy. The sauce was very good. I would go back to try the food and will write that review but as for the pizza I don't think I'll be getting it here in the near future. read more

Only ever been here once. Stopped in while driving home from the Jersey shore. Split 3 MISC slices with my wife; all were delicious. Garlic knots were 4 for $1.50 and sauce was $0.50. The website and front door label the time of closing to be 10 pm on Saturdays. My family and I walked in around 8:30 pm to get a bite to eat, after driving home from a tournament. We entered and got an unwelcome greeting from the staff. our waitress was nice, however mentioned we needed to order quickly because the kitchen was already cleaned and closing. As we were eating, the girl behinde the counter sighed obnoxiously when a car pulled up and said "ughh someone just pulled up". My family and I clearly felt uncomfortable at this point, being they were already cleaning up and putting things away. They handed us the bill and food at the same time, and cleared my sisters bowl without asking her if she was done when she had left the table for a moment. At this point it was 8:45, meaning we still had over an hour being both the sign on the front door and website said 10 pm. We wanted to order dessert, however they put everything away on the shelves by 8:50, and were beginning to wrap things up as we were still sitting there. At this point my family and I felt so unwelcome, we just paid for what we had and left. Not to mention, I ordered a soup to go. When i got home, there was a spider inside which i almost ate. If I could give a zero, I would. The food is solid, but customer service is absolutely terrible. Our pizza was apparently delivered to the wrong house and when we called to ask where it was we were told that "we have your signature that you received it". I tried to explain that we did not get it and it must be to the wrong household and got nowhere. My wife and I had to drive to the restaurant and show my face to the delivery driver to prove it wasn't me who accepted the delivery. NEVER did a manager talk to us or apologize. We left there an hour ago without pizza and still nobody has reached out. Like I said the reviews are right on the food, but we should have listened to the previous homeowners we bought the house from and avoid this place like the plague. Shame on us for giving you a shot. We'll go to Mario & Franks for all our Italian food going forward. read more

This place is an absolute gem! Friendly service, clean restaurants, gracious owner and amazing chef(s). The food was awesome and plentiful. The soups were absolutely homemade fresh, not overcooked bread hot and delicious. I forget the name of our main dish but it had sausage, mushrooms, sundried tomatoes and pasta. I had it with spaghetti my sister had the penne. We ate 1/4 of it was so good. We ordered a grandmother's pizza to go, asked the split it into two boxes..no issue and that too was awesome. Just enough of everything. Cant wait to go back. This is not fast food and the minimal wait is nothing when the food is this great. The owner came to our table to find out if everything was okay and we could not have expressed it better than to say it well exceeded our Hopes and everything was delicious. My son and I stopped here after a soccer game because he's 13 and "starving" so he couldn't survive the 45 minute drive. Staff was super friendly and helpful. We grab our slices to go and set off towards the highway. Now despite being a teenage boy, my kid eats like 5 things and one of them is pizza. He's had pizza from all over the state. He's practically an expert. He starts eating and is oddly quiet. I ask him if it's okay and he says "This may be the best pizza I've ever had in my life." It's pretty amazing. Crunchy crust, chunky sauce, very fresh tasting. So there you have it. The best pizza I've had in years and it's a 45 minute drive from home. Sigh. read more

OK lets get a correction on this site first please. Based on the map it is NOT right next to the NJ Turnpike. The exact location is about 2-3 miles south of the NJ Turnpike on Route 206 North. Its in the Mansfield Shopping Center which is, for most purposes, relatively new. Also, DO NOT confuse this place with the Bella Mia in the Wrightstown, NJ area. They literally took the same name after this place opened. There is apparently no relation between the two. I've been here a good dozen+ times since they have opened. I can even say I was one of the first ones to visit the place when they did open as we were looking forward to this restaurant opening for a while - not many good restaurants in our area so its always nice to see something new open. Anyway, the first 2 or 3 times I wasn't that impressed by this place but wasn't disappointed either. It was your average pizza place. Since then, I must admit their pizza has gotten to be VERY good. Not sure if they changed their recipe or if it just took them a while to "refine" their product to their oven, their cooks, etc. as I know the owner works at another location frequently. Their plain pizza is pretty good, but that's not the thing to order when you go. I'd recommend one of the following: 1) Their Grandma pizza - its a sicilian like crust with more sauce on it. I am sure theres more too it but its good! Their best kept secret by far. 2) Their Old Fashioned Tomato Pie - very good! 3) Their regular Sicilain pizza They also make a few very good sides and other items. Their Panini's (especially the Chicken Parm Paninis) are excellent. For a while I also was having a lot of their regular chicken parm subs and cheesesteaks but they are just ok. I think they need to work on the bread for the regular subs to make them better. I'd like to see more sauce on the Chicken Parm subs as well. I have not tried their entrees as, I admit, if we want entrees we go to another Italian restaurant. If I saw some coupons or good specials for things like Chicken entrees we might be more likely to try them. Until then its mostly pizza and subs for us. Prices are reasonable. Service is a tab slow depending on who you get for counter-service. I think its just an inability to keep good folks behind the counter unfortunately but the owner/owner's wife that often works the counter is very friendly. I have not tried their delivery because they are very close to my house. Overall though, I like this place for pizza and subs... a lot. Visit there frequently and will continue to do so. read more

Some of the things they offer are really unique... like The Godfather Panini. I think that's one of the best sandwiches you can get in the area. We moved to the area in 2015 and ordered from Bella Mia quite often. There were always nice smiling, familiar faces. Unfortunately, that friendly, prompt and accurate service has vanished. Over the last 6-8 months we've ordered a few times and have been very disappointed. Incorrect orders, a recent undercooked pizza and now again tonight given the wrong food. I called and was asked to bring it back and they would make what I ordered. First, it's Sunday night and I have a newborn- you can't deliver it?!? And Second, bring it back?? What are you going to do with it, give to to the next person?? Wow, how unfortunate. Our menu with notes made over a 3 year span just went into the recycling bin. I recently ate here with a friend. We both ordered an eggplant parmesan sandwich. I was not happy with my order because, it did not taste good. The consistency of the eggplant parmesan was rubbery and the sauce was bland. To be honest, I've had far better. I exchanged my sandwich for 2 slices of pizza. While eating my pizza, the owner of the restaurant came to our table and was very rude. She scolded me for switching my order. The owner seemed to take the order switch personally. My waitress was very sympathetic and apologized for the owner's behavior. I HAVE NEVER EXPERIENCED SUCH RUDENESS FROM A RESTAURANT. I reviewed bella mia when they first opened (on another site) and gave them great reviews. The food is pretty standard pizza shop fare..but compared to other area offerings, they really were an initial standout. Since opening, the regular pizza has changed for the worst. crust is getting thicker on the regular pies...starting to taste like chain food. But still, the sandwiches, pasta, and specialty pies are still very good. To agree with another reviewer, THE OWNER is the main reason for my drop in rating. She is extremely rude. We have had multiple deliveries show up very late and the orders are often incorrect. When we call the shop to discuss, the owner yells at us (like it is our fault?) and goes into strange rants about her money and staffing problems. They definitely do not understand the inconvenience with receiving an incorrect order. We typically order out when our family is in a rush..running about, etc. etc. When the order is wrong, we have to await a second delivery which completely ruins the time-saving purpose of ordering out. Also, our family cannot eat together unless we put everything in the oven, which pretty much ruins the bulk of the food. We have had at least 15 messed up orders and never received an apology, a free side order, or anything. If I could order the same type of food from another establishment I would do so in a heartbeat because these people do not value their customers. read more

I was told one pizza and a garden salad would take between 45 min to 1 hr to deliver, 1 hr 15 min later I call to find out it still has not left the building. I ask to speak with the manager "Kim" who when I ask her if this type of business practice is ok with her, says "what do want me to do hon, we got busy." Uh, call and say there's a delay.
