Grandma pizza
Kim F.

This place has been on the list for a while to try. We always pass it on the weekends going to the Columbus flea market. On the way back we stopped in to order a pizza to go. We asked which one is the most popular and they said the Grandma Pie, which we ended up ordering. The place has a nice ambiance for eating in, which we might do in the future. We waited about 10 minutes for our order to be ready. We live about 10 minutes away so by the time we got home it had cooled down a bit. But even at a luke warm temperature, the pizza was great. It had a good balance of cheese and sauce, and a sweet sauce, which I like. The crust is smaller than a Sicilian but maybe a little puffier than I regular crust, but it is more crispy than puffy. Very good. We had plenty of leftovers which crisped up nicely in the air fryer. Will be back!

Big Mac pizza and a sausage pizza
Eronini D.

Ordered a slice of sausage pizza, a Mac pizza which is basically the Big Mac from Mac Donald's on the pizza along with penne pasta. The pizza were good however I like then to have more dough and these seem light so I'll give that a 3 out of 5. My wife had the penne pasta and she enjoyed it, gave that a 4 out of 5. The lady at the front was very welcoming.

Dining Room so quaint and inviting. Casual atmosphere.

Our hot wings were very undercooked. The bone was bloody, but they happily remade them. They tasted even better the next day even with the Bar-B-Q sauce on it .

a cheese pizza in a box

We only tried a large cheese pie and garlic knots. The pie was on the smaller side compared to other places in the area. The crust was a bit too thick for my taste and not crispy. The sauce was very good. I would go back to try the food and will write that review but as for the pizza I don't think I'll be getting it here in the near future.

Spider in my to go soup

The website and front door label the time of closing to be 10 pm on Saturdays. My family and I walked in around 8:30 pm to get a bite to eat, after driving home from a tournament. We entered and got an unwelcome greeting from the staff. our waitress was nice, however mentioned we needed to order quickly because the kitchen was already cleaned and closing. As we were eating, the girl behinde the counter sighed obnoxiously when a car pulled up and said "ughh someone just pulled up". My family and I clearly felt uncomfortable at this point, being they were already cleaning up and putting things away. They handed us the bill and food at the same time, and cleared my sisters bowl without asking her if she was done when she had left the table for a moment. At this point it was 8:45, meaning we still had over an hour being both the sign on the front door and website said 10 pm. We wanted to order dessert, however they put everything away on the shelves by 8:50, and were beginning to wrap things up as we were still sitting there. At this point my family and I felt so unwelcome, we just paid for what we had and left. Not to mention, I ordered a soup to go. When i got home, there was a spider inside which i almost ate. The photo is below.

Sausage , sun dried tomatoes mushroom and spaghetti in red sauce. Fabulous

This place is an absolute gem! Friendly service, clean restaurants, gracious owner and amazing chef(s). The food was awesome and plentiful. The soups were absolutely homemade fresh, not overcooked bread hot and delicious. I forget the name of our main dish but it had sausage, mushrooms, sundried tomatoes and pasta. I had it with spaghetti my sister had the penne. We ate 1/4 of it was so good. We ordered a grandmother's pizza to go, asked the split it into two boxes..no issue and that too was awesome. Just enough of everything. Cant wait to go back. This is not fast food and the minimal wait is nothing when the food is this great. The owner came to our table to find out if everything was okay and we could not have expressed it better than to say it well exceeded our Hopes and everything was delicious. We'll be back for certain.

This is hands down the best pasta I've had outside of Italy. It's made fresh and al dente and they…read morealso sell it to go for home cooking. We visited for a late dinner on a Friday. The restaurant is BYOB so we took a short walk down to Boyd's pharmacy to get some wine and beer. Bordentown parking is challenging, so be prepared to leave extra time for finding a spot. Our meal started with fresh baked sesame semolina bread that melted in your mouth. I ordered the spaghetti carbonara and my wife ordered the pasta with crab. Both dishes were amazing and portions were large (we both took some home). The service is professional and the staff is knowledgeable about the menu. They did have a lot of specials in addition to the menu. The atmosphere is quaint and somewhat elegant. In the nice weather you can even sit outside.

Pros: I genuinely can't think of a single favorable aspect of our dining experience…read more Cons: Everything--from the service, to the table spacing, to the food quality--was an issue. The ambiance and layout were problematic throughout the meal. The table spacing was already uncomfortably tight from the start, and toward the end of our visit, a party of 10 was seated in a way that completely blocked off the front left side of the already small dining area. This left only a narrow path on the right side for entry and exit. Given how confined the space became, it raised legitimate concerns about safety and whether the layout could pose an issue in the event of an emergency. After waiting 40 minutes for the complimentary bread, I finally had to speak up and ask for it to be brought to our table. Given that there were several open tables both inside and outside, we couldn't understand why there was such a tremendous delay with such a simple task. For an additional "starter" my dining partner ordered the Caesar salad which was completely drenched in dressing. While we were initially excited about the homemade pasta entrees, we were extremely disappointed once out they arrived. I understand that homemade pasta is typically served al dente, but neither dish was cooked properly. I had to cut my pasta with a knife because a fork simply wasn't enough, and my dining partner couldn't cut several pieces of his pasta at all--some were still noticeably crunchy. I was especially surprised, as I've dined here before and don't recall these kinds of issues--perhaps there has been a change in the kitchen. Unfortunately, we weren't able to address any of this during the meal because our waitress, Marti, never checked on us from the time she delivered our entrees (about an hour after we were seated). Not once, not even upon delivering the check did she ask us how our meals were! Before leaving, I chose to address the server, Marti, directly and share our experience. I expressed my disappointment with both the service and the food, but her response made an already bad experience significantly worse. Every comment was met with a large, clearly insincere smile and a dismissive "I'm sorry to hear that," with no effort to actually resolve anything. A good server would show genuine remorse, offer to involve a manager, or at the very least attempt to make things right--whether by addressing the issue or offering to comp part of the meal. None of that happened. There was no accountability, no urgency, and no real acknowledgment of the situation--just a phony, rehearsed response that felt completely disrespectful. To make matters worse, shortly after we left, my dining partner became ill, experiencing both diarrhea and nausea, along with severe stomach pain that has now lasted over 14 hours and is still ongoing. If I could give this experience a 0 out of 5, I would.

Tonight Jimbo took great care to ensure we had a flawless dining experience which we did. We opt'ed for mainly chef specials this evening opening up with a delicious coconut shrimp, butterfly, grilled dusted, and fabulous seasonings, and topped off with a Thai chili sauce for dipping. Nice size or white tenders can be an incredible flavor profile. Next, I had the stuffed shrimp with crab meat and black ink linguine and first off the plating presentation was outstanding and then the flavor profile that followed was incredible and I'm not a pasta person, but this was certainly worth breaking my own self imposed rules about pasta. And my wife had the Villa Marcello, and it was tender and moist, and absolutely memorable. All in all a fun, tasty relaxing evening on a day with crazy storming skies.

We had 3 different entrees that came out hot; each was delicious and plentiful. I enjoyed the shells in a white wine ragu, wife said risotto with shrimp and scallops ( even placed scallops on side bc she doesn't like them... but we did!) was great, and nephew had another pasta that he devoured. They were complemented with cocktail sauce, watermelon mignonette, and fresh grated horseradish. * Crab Salad Special: Served in a martini glass. It featured cold, chilled crab marinated with tequila, triple sec, and lime, carefully laid on a bed of avocado mousse with an Old Bay-lined rim. Delicious and refreshing during a hot summer evening. * Tri-Color Beet Salad: A roasted beet and citrus salad with whipped ricotta and a pistachio honey vinaigrette that provided rich bites. * New York Strip: Sourced from Allen Brothers in Chicago. We ordered the Au Poivre sauce, which was tasty, but the steak was so good on its own that I ended up using the sauce for my sides! * 14 oz Center Cut Filet: Also sourced from Allen Brothers. While I do enjoy Marcello's there are a few things that hold this back from being a 4 or 5 start restaurant in my opinion. The first thing is the price. It's very pricy. The drinks are expensive but the food is really expensive. A "pizette" which is a flatbread is very costly for what you get in my opinion. But with that said, they are really good. Same with their sandwiches and pastas. Expensive but generally good. Wit that said, I have found their food hit or miss. Sometimes it's really on and it's phenomenal. Other times it's average. So a bit inconsistent. The service is just okay. I have found the bartenders a bit aloof. But they do make mighty good drinks. My favorite thing is the sausage egg rolls. Highly recommend them. The pizza is also quite good. I will keep coming here but wish it was a little more reasonably priced.
