She made an appointment for the following day. When she arrived, she was told that they forgot to write it down and she would have to come back. Although she was annoyed, she did return. They could've handled the situation much more appropriately by either bumping someone who took her spot or by offering her a discounted or better yet a free service. During the service my partner felt very rushed. Simply put, their response was not a very customer oriented one. She doesn't think she'll go back.

Update: had to return 5 days later when our gel manicures were chipping for a touch up. I paid…read more$100 for builder gel on my natural nails, which is excessive considering I travel often and have never paid over $70 at other salons. I came in with builder gel already on my nails, and while I agreed to remove the previous set and add a $10 French tip on 4 nails, I was never told about extra charges added at checkout for "soaking off" and "length." Charging extra for removal makes no sense when nails are typically filed down during a new set anyway, and charging for length feels like an unnecessary add-on since maintaining length is part of regular fills and sets. Listing lower prices online only to add surprise fees is misleading, so I'd recommend asking about every charge beforehand. What made this worse is less than two weeks later my builder gel started separating from my natural nails and one completely popped off. During the appointment my nails were also burning badly under the UV light, which has never happened to me before despite getting builder gel regularly for the last 8 months. I called twice to address the issue and the manager has yet to return my call. Between the hidden charges, poor quality work, and lack of customer service, this was by far the worst builder gel experience I've had.

COVID procedures in place, Masks worn (and worn properly) by staff and required of guests. Everything wiped down between guests. The only downside is there are more appointments now and less staff to accommodate walk-ins, but if you make an appointment, it's worth it. Making my next appointment as we speak.

So I took a risk. First impression: clean and fresh. The music was a turn off (80s romantic songs) but that's only a minor thing. I sat in the chair and I was asked to "pick my jelly", which confused me til I realized it's the stuff they put in the water. It did feel nice, so points for that. The chair massager was really good. I got the basic pedicure, which was fine. I will go back next time during the week and get the mani-pedi, maybe a brow wax.
