Visit Kirchem! This was our second year in a row. Only $10 to park and all kids activities except face painting are FREE which is so wonderful. Hay maze, ring/bag toss, face painting, playground, and a gravel dig box. Great food carts. Horses to pet and donkeys to see. The whole family is involved in this operation with dad driving the hay ride and sharing history, mom taking parking fees and grandpa out doing farm chores. It's really sweet and endearing and we will continue to support this kind family annually. Beautiful selection of pumpkins too. Down to earth, wholesome fun. We had the most amazing time today at the farm. If I could rate them a 10 I would. First only 10.00 a car load to get in. Free hay ride, the property is beautiful picnic tables to have lunch and chairs for sitting in to visit. A big barn for kids activities. This is a family ran business. They planted 1700 pumpkins seeds by hand. So many different varieties of pumpkins, I hope you will visit you will be greeted by Vic. read more

Nice family run Christmas tree farm. Parking is tight, be patient. You check in at the warming shed, grab some free hot cocoa, and get your saw. Head back to the parking lot to wait for the tractor. The nice driver does loops through the property, and tells you what trees are in each plot. His partner comes behind him with a truck to pick up trees. You just cut and leave them by the road. It's a good system. We walked a lot of the property and there's a good variety. Some trimmed, some natural. Dougs ($20), Nobles, Nordmans (both $45). We got a very pretty tree, but definitely passed on a LOT of sad ones. Their stock seemed low. When you return, you're offered binding for an extra fee, but no shaker, dang. read more

I'm rating off their pumpkin patch! It was such a delight to support this place and we had such a great time. They said they aren't going to be able to sell Christmas trees this year because of the severe weather we've had. They had food trucks which was great, face painting, a fun little kids maze to hop through, we got to feed and pet the horses, hayride was included in the $10 per vehicle fee, and a fun play set for kids to play on. And so many pumpkins grown there! Huge ones, little ones, and other cool looking squash. Everyone was so nice as well! I'm glad we have this place so close! read more

Nice variety of trees, some groomed, and many with a less-machined look. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the price very reasonable. Best of all, their loaner saws are sharp! They may not have all of the extra gimmicks that some places do, but it's a beautiful farm with nice trees for sale. read more

Our group of four families bundled up together to head out to the historic Kirchem Farm in search of our PERFECT Christmas Trees. We were not disappointed! The wagon tour of trees, the helpful crew, the fire and complementary hot coco (it was a beautiful clear, but COLD day!) all added to our collective enjoyment. We WILL be back next year. This tree farm had a nice website showing hay wagon rides, offering hot cocoa at the warming shed, and selling trees and metal crafts made on the historic family farm. All that aside, they are CLOSED for 2018, as they're out of trees! It doesn't come up as closed on Yelp or Google; it was only apparent once I checked their website. Most of the people here are extremely nice and helpful. However, we have now had 2 negative experiences with the dark haired woman whom I presume is the owner. I came to the farm tonight alone with my five year old daughter trying to fulfill a promise of a Christmas tree after school. After driving around for a long time trying to find somewhere open, we were very happy to see the lights of the barn on and stopped in to ask if it was okay if we quickly grabbed a tree. Two of the staff were warm and welcoming and helped us find what we were looking for. However, the aforementioned woman sauntered over from her campfire in the corner and told us in the future they are closed at 4 (it was 4:40) and they needed to maintain some boundaries. We had no idea as it was dark, raining and no visible signs. She made us feel extremely unwelcome and intrusive, especially after we just spent nearly $50 on a tiny tree. We'll be taking our holiday business elsewhere in the future. If you come, don't arrive past 4...unless it is a "star filled night" (according to their facebook page) in which case they are open until 6. Tonight unfortunately was not one. read more
