Greens & Beans and Penne pasta
    Penny L.

Bella Pasta was the chosen spot for Friday night's dinner. We went without a reservation and had to wait about 30-40 minutes. It was a very busy night and the bar was also packed. There wasn't any place to sit down and wait for our name to be called. So luckily an older gentleman saw that my significant other wasn't able to stand for too long got up and offered him his spot. That was really nice and there was room for me too. So when our name was called and we were seated it was the table right up against the hostess station on the right side. That was perfect for us. Joy was our waitress and we like her. She is very pleasant and she strikes up a conversation with you. She's also a really good waitress. So we got our menus and place settings and Joy came to the table and took our drink and soup/salad order. We both got ice water with lemon and I also ordered 2 glasses of wine- Moscato throughout the course of dinner. I ordered the minestrone soup it was so good and hot that went right quick. He got the salad and his was good too. Then he ordered the broiled fish and had a side of penne with red sauce and I got the greens and beans over penne. And mine was super good and after we finished eating we ordered dessert which was the chocolate cake of course his favorite. That was also very good and a nice end to the meal. So in the course of our conversation with joy I asked if Mariah still worked there and she said yes. Well we got a quick little visit from Mariah who was working on the other side of the restaurant by the bar area. So that was nice and it was a good dinner and a nice night out.

I will say. I was surprised on how good it was. . the meatballs wer not bad . Italian dressing was in house made that was delicious. The bread should not be served cold. Warm it up the butter was so hard. Come on people . Get rid of the plastic cups u put water in how tacky.

The place has a dining room, bar and banquet area. Service was very good. Our waitress did a great job considering she was the only one. She was friendly and we got our food quickly. I had the ravioli French with artichokes and a side of shrimp. My mom got gnocchi with vodka sauce, 1 meat ball and 1 sausage. My raviolis and artichoke French was really good. My mom's vodka sauce was ok. It was more like a pink Alfredo and didn't have much flavor. The Italian sausage was good but the meatball was not. It had no flavor at all. Her dish was disappointing. I will go back to try other menu items.

This place was fantastic! Food was really good, affordable, and sizable. I had the Veal Asiago and it did not disappoint. Everyone in my party seemed to enjoy their meal. They have a pretty decent drink menu to boot. The ambiance is a little weak, but it reminds me more of an old school type Italian restaurant.

We went to Bella Pasta on a Sunday night instead of making dinner. We were seated in the bar area in a booth. There was a nice amount of people eating and some at the bar. It wasn't too loud - just a nice atmosphere. Our server was very friendly- she brought us our drinks and some bread to start. My wife ordered the Bella Pasta Special- angel hair pasta served with artichokes, kalamata olives, onions, sundried tomatoes & mushrooms in a marsala wine sauce. She enjoyed it. I had Chicken Parmesan- also very good. We both brought some home - portions were plentiful. Prices were very reasonable. We will definitely be back soon!

Even when crowded the staff does a good job of serving some delicious food. Try the Sicilian calamari.

Great ambience and location! The wait was short, and definitely worth it! The food - amazing! Comically large plate of Italian Mac & Cheese made its way to me, and it was so good! Cheesy, crispy bread crumbs, cavatappi! Perfecto! My husband had the PLT sandwich, which was also huge, and so yummy! The pesto spread on the Prosciutto was amazing, fresh. Bread was crunchy on the outside, soft and warm on the inside. My pre-schooler rounded out our meals with an order of garlic fries, which were crispy and loaded with garlic and cheese. Loved it! The hostess found us, as promised, at the bar after only a short wait. If you are rushed for dinner or just plain impatient then go to a fast food joint. Expect a leisurely meal here and you won't be disappointed. To those who pretend to be Italian gourmets and complain about the sauce, we have never had anything but tasty, well-prepared food. It makes me suspicious that there are people (or bots) with one review to their name who bash an establishment. Enough said.

Of course, Monday nights are always difficult with so many restaurants closed but my wife used Yelp to see what was open nearby. Cristo's popped up. We weren't familiar with the restaurant (my sister in law indicated that a pizza restaurant had been in this location several years prior with good pizza but a bad attitude) but what the heck, we thought we would give it a try. Well, I can't say enough nice things about Cristo's. We thought we were going for pizza, what we ended up with was some of the best homemade pasta (almost all is homemade), gnocchi, and a wonderful chicken parm that was to die for. Loved the marinara sauce - clearly everything was homemade (including the bread). Pleasant environment. Not loud, well laid out. Good selection of wines (too bad that we learned afterwards that there was no corkage fee on Mondays). Just a wonderful little restaurant with great service, superior food, and well-priced. Can't emphasize the latter enough with today's inflation. And the choices on the menu if you don't like pasta are also intriguing. Nightly steak choices (the filet mignon on a Monday night sounded wonderful but I just had to try the pasta). Wish we had something on the east side like this!

For my main course I ordered the rigatoni bolognese which was fantastic. The sauce was a lighter version of a traditional bolognese, but still packed with flavor. The only thing that kept me from giving this establishment 5 stars was the martini I ordered. It was served in a cosmo glass but was filled about 1/3. Because the glass is cone shaped, the volume was certainly less than 1/4. The bar tender needs to up their game and learn how to serve a martini. Charging $16.50,for what amounted to a short shot, is almost criminal. I would definitely go back. But next time, I'm ordering a bottle of wine in lieu of a cocktail.
