Just left Bella Reina Spa for an eyebrow shaping and dye. I saw Stacy and she's was fabulous. Very knowledgeable and helpful. The staff was super friendly checking in and checking out. Both times someone was ahead of me but made It a point to acknowledge me and asked if I would like something to drink while I waited. I have been several times and I love this little spa. What a disappointment! First I changed and had to wait so long for her to come back in the room. Then she looked at my skin and went to get products and then had to wait again for a long time. Then, finally, she cleaned my face, gave one mask, and proceeded to spend time on my arms! Not exactly a facial!! When I left the room, it wasn't even 45 minutes after I first walked in, and about 15 minutes of that was spent alone in the room! This girl clearly wasn't a real aesthetician or simply did not want to be there! It was a total waste of my time and money. When I told the girl at the desk that I was so disappointed, she simply said "I'm sorry" and did not seem interested in finding out why I was so dissatisfied. I will never go back there! read more

I love this small quaint spa. The majority of the space is used for the nail salon area which is very girly and neat. there are some treatment rooms in the back for massages etc. I've only had a manicure and pedicure here so far. Carla was my nail technician and i loved her. She was nice, clean and fast! my nails looked beautiful! They carry a line of shellac polish made by CND which is my favorite brand because they carry more sophisticated colors appropriate for work and even a sheer pink. I visited Bella Reina for the second time a few weeks ago. The first time I visited, the service was excellent. Mary Liz shaped my brows. They looked fantastic. Seems promising, right? The second time I visited, my appointment was with Nancy and it was awful. I booked an appointment for two procedures, one being an eyebrow cleanup. At the beginning of the appointment, Nancy confirmed that we would be doing a cleanup, not a full eyebrow design. I had, after all, visited the spa only three weeks ago (which is when I saw Mary Liz). Nancy left the room for some time to get supplies (I assume). She came back and proceeded to make a number of comments that rubbed me the wrong way: she admonished me for not being relaxed after pulling the skin tight on my forehead without warning -- and forcefully. She then asked me if I ever relax, implying I must be wound up pretty tight. Fast forward: when Nancy completed the work, she showed me my brows in a mirror. At this point, I requested that she shape the brows more to my satisfaction (they were very poorly shaped). This is something I did not have to do with Mary Liz, who is a whiz at brow shaping. Nancy then proceeded to unnecessarily map where my arch etc should be -- this and the conversation that followed went on for some minutes. I had to insist multiple times that she do what I asked. She then made a comment about my being a "natural girl" who might not understand what I'm asking for -- a comment I assume was a response to my at the time casual appearance (I was in very casual clothing, had no makeup on, and my hair was up in a messy bun because I was heading to the salon next). This comment really irritated me. It, like the relaxation comments, suggested Nancy was reading me as someone who is not a regular visitor of spas, who does not know what she is asking for, and who is granola. I have never had to argue with an aesthetician before about what I want. I've also never been passive aggressively / patronizingly put down in this way by an aesthetician before. The final kicker came as I was paying for services. I was informed by the person operating the register that I was being charged for a full eyebrow design -- not a cleanup. I asked what an eyebrow design entails and was told it involves measuring the arch, and is generally for people who haven't been waxed recently. I expressed confusion, saying I had not asked to have my arch measured and that I had been waxed recently. I was then told that I was being charged for a full design because the appointment had taken so long. So, let me get this straight: the aesthetician left the room for some time, came back, moved slowly, then argued with me about my requested correctives -- and then I was charged for her poor time management? Let's also note that the full appointment lasted 30 minutes -- that's 30 minutes for 2 procedures. While the appointment certainly could have been completed in 20 minutes had time not been wasted in the ways described above, 30 minutes for 2 procedures is reasonable (contrary to Nancy's assessment, I visit spas and salons on the regular). My experience also suggests the following: this spa charges customers for the extra time necessary to correct an aesthetician's lack of attention to her / his job. When a customer is given a mirror and asked to assess the work, to point out any spots requiring adjustment or cleanup, this shouldn't be an empty gesture -- the aesthetician should be prepared to answer for her / his work and to adjust it as requested. The one thing Bella Reina did right was: they agreed to charge me for a cleanup, not a design. I've just visited a different spa to have my brows cleaned up by a more competent aesthetician. I am publishing this review now because my new aesthetician showed me how badly my brows were botched at Bella Reina on my second visit. Not only were they haphazardly trimmed, but too much hair was taken off the inside of the brows (in the space just between the nose) -- so, now, I have work on regrowing the insides of each brow so that they are symmetrical, structured, and not spaced too far apart. All in all, I would say this: there are great aestheticians at this salon, but I would not book an appointment with Nancy (I am surprised my appointment was so bad because she appears to be the owner of the spa). And I would also consider the business practices described above before visiting. I'm not sure if penalizing customers who have the gall to request adjustments by overcharging is representative of the salon as a whole, or only Nancy's way of conducting business, but it isn't right. This is no way to treat your customers. And there are plenty of other spas in the Delray area who treat their customers as they should be treated: professionally, kindly, and in a timely manner. read more

The owner of the spa contacted me a few days after I posted my experience to yelp apologizing and she offered to have the tinting done again. I was very appreciative of her offering this and gave them a second chance and I'm very happy I did! Ishra (sorry if I spelt that wrong) did my tinting this time and she was so sweet and attentive. She gave me a nice head massage while waiting for the tint to be done and explained how to make the dye last longer. I highly recommend seeing her when you come here. Would recommend and return. I am extremely picky about where I go for spa services, but I love Bella reina. It is very clean, chic and bright inside. The staff is always friendly and helpful. One time they didn't have my polish color and the receptionist went out and got it for me. They really go out of their way to make you happy. I always go to see Israt. I went in for a massage last week and it was awesome! The place is classy, cozy and clean. The staff was very friendly. In front of the place they do nails and stuff like that. There is also wall of products where you can buy some great stuff. When I got into my massage room I told my massage person I had a ton of knots and I needed them worked on pretty good but since I had not had a massage in some time I was not ready for a full on deep tissue massage yet. I got my eyebrows threaded and tinted for the first time by Israt and they came out 110% perfect!!! I am in love!!! Definitely worth the price. the first time in years that my feet were soft! I've had thousands of pedicures and never, ever do my feet feel soft. Just figured that's life. But after my Bella Reina pedicure my feet were soft for days afterward. Definitely worth it, as I do yoga 4 times per week + teach Pilates, so my feet are working hard and are always visible. I came in for a bikini wax and the staff were very nice and ambiance was so elegant. The woman who did my waxing was very friendly and relaxed. It was relatively painless as these things go, and I definitely plan to go back for this or other services! My only complaint is that I found my hair grew back a little more stubbly than it has in the past, more like I'd shaved or used a hair removal product. I definitely enjoyed the spa though and would repeat the service (it was still effective) and look forward to trying others! read more

There are not enough superlatives to do this place Justice. We came in to celebrate a friend's birthday and 3 of party are from out of town. I wanted a unique place that didn't have the "sterile" feel that most hotel spas have. JACKPOT! This is not just a day Spa, but this is like hanging out with your girlfriends, who just happen to do incredible services. My pedicure with Mary Liz was phenomenal and my massage with Inez was something that can't be described- you just gave to experience it yourself to know what I am talking about. The staff here is the most welcoming, inviting, and truly joyful ladies I have encountered in a long time. Everyone here seems to love what they do and it shows in the services they provide. Received a gift card for a spa package, called to see if I could have a 90 minute massage instead, the receptionist asked me to hold on while she checked with her manager. She got back on the phone & said no problem asked for a credit card even though I had a gift certificate but I understood their policies. They called me back to see if I could come in a little later, no problem. I walk in and I confirm 90 minute massage, I was introduced to the masseuse. 50 minutes later the masseuse said she would see me outside. I told her I was scheduled for 90 minutes she said she had someone else for 90 minutes. Bottom line I was told I was getting a 90 minute massage & it was 50, kept me waiting 15 minutes to tell me their was an error & my massage was $ 125. My card was $165. I told them to give the remainder to the masseuse as I would never come back. Customer Service, none and if they are looking to build a clientele they are clueless! read more

Went today for a massage and facial with my husband, courtesy of our Living Social coupons. Staying in Miami so would not have known about this place without getting LS emails back home in MD. WOW! What a great experience. Jennifer gave me such a great massage, and Nancy gave my husband a terrific facial - with a nice shoulder massage to boot (I had switched with him at the last minute - haha). They knew we were on LS coupons but treated us as if we were paying full price. Not the least bit pretentious, despite such pretty surroundings. Great place, and what an extensive and exclusive product line they carry. Nice pedicure chairs, too. I have gone to several places in Delray Beach and I have left very disappointed, I used to get my nails done every month but since I moved to Delray I went by 2 months without getting them done, I felt I was throwing my money out the window but not this time! Would never return to this spa. I went there with a Groupon and was treated like dirt. The girl at check in was extremely rude and the owner, Nancy is possibly the most rude woman I've ever met. I truly feel sorry for people working under her. The girl who did my eyebrows did a great job, wish I could remember her name so I could give her the credit she deserves. I had joined Living Social, and this was my first voucher experience. It has been forever since I had a facial or massage..... It's my birthday and I was ready for some pampering ! I was afraid that it might be all "fancy" or full of uppity rich folks all surgically altered & botoxed up, and that I would be out-of -place....I was glad that it was NOT that ! Just comfortable, regular people like me.... Everything was on-time, no waiting around (so thankful for that!) Julie did my massage, and was fantastic.!I was so relaxed and with my eyes closed, for a few minutes it felt like her hands were one of those battery-operated-kneading- rolly--ball-massage things! Lola did the facial, which I did expect to be a little more intense. There was more scalp and upper chest type stuff than I was expecting..was hoping for more actual 'face-time' and exfoliation ....but I guess that doesn't come with the 30 minute facial ... I feel wonderful afterwards & de-stressed.... While I am not a big fan of the "up-selling" ("you should have this done, and buy this product.")it is understandable -- that is just the way a business has to run these days... I'm here for the winter from Rhode Island and was looking for a spa I could frequent during my stay. Bella Reina was highly recommended by a friend of mine, so I scheduled an appointment for a standard facial to try out. I was a little surprised by the size of the spa, I'm used to a tranquil environment, but I was overcome by a lot of pink and black, which was very different for a spa. I also had to fill out paperwork in their 'lobby' area where sun was shining through the windows and piercing my skin. I would have at least expected some kind of relaxation area involving tea and a robe for me to change into. Nope, I was immediately brought into the small room for my facial. The facial itself was unbelievable. I wish I remembered my therapist's name, so I could at least recommend something positive from my experience. She spent a lot of time with me, making sure that I felt comfortable and relaxed while she did my facial. It's been a couple of weeks since my facial and my skin still looks like I had the facial yesterday. However, in the middle of my facial I was overcome by a smokers cough coming from the 'lobby' area. It was a constant hacking that went on for an uncomfortable amount of time. The esthetician apologized over and over again for the awful noise, but it wouldn't stop. I couldn't wait to get out of there. Finally when I was ready to check out, I was able to identify the person behind the smokers cough, the receptionist! I couldn't believe it. She kept coughing over and over again in my presence and didn't care in the least that I was looking at her with such disgust on my face. She also reaked of cigarette smoke, which made matters worse. Her hands and skin looked like she had been smoking for over 60 years. What kind of spa hires someone like this to represent them at the front desk? I dont have a lot of experience in the spa industry, but I'm pretty sure you shouldn't hire a rode hard, middle aged smoker to be the face of your spa upon check out. Keep people like that in the back! Needless to say, I won't be back. My poor friend is humiliated that she recommended Bella Reina and won't be back herself. It's a real shame because given the service I received from the facial, I would have definitely been back, but their trashy staff was enough for me to write this place off for the winter. What a joke. I'm hoping they will reevaluate their mission statement and hire employees that speak to the art of a true spa experience. I'll be taking my money elsewhere, thank you! read more
