Our team traveled from Atlanta to Rome Georgia to play USTA State Playoffs. We won the State title and was looking for a place to celebrate last minute. Bella Roma turned out to be the perfect spot. The server (Debbie) was outstanding! She was very polite and accurate with our orders. The food was delicious, and prompt. To top it off, the owner (Zana), came out to personally thank us for dining there and congratulating us on our big win! You just don't find service like this anymore. What a horrible experience. We came in at 10:15, 45 minutes before they closed. The male server came over to us and had an attitude even before he got to the table. He threw the towel when we walked in, and of course we got him as the server. He came over and asked for our drinks, we told him and he just turned and walked away. He delivered our drinks and said ya need more time? I started to ask a question and he literally just walked away. What a horrible example for this restaurant. We decided to leave at this point. It was obvious we were very unwelcome and it was unreasonable for us to ask this server to do his job, 45 minutes before close. I asked to speak to the manager and waited a few minutes. We were in town visiting our son at GHP. We arrived at 1 pm on a Sunday. We were seated immediately. Service was just okay. Our drinks were often empty. My son had a tortellini pasta dish. It was just okay. My husband had lasagna. It was cheesy but nothing spectacular. I had a veggie pizza and had them sub white sauce for red. That's a $2 up charge. The eggplant looked like sausage. As close as it is to the stadium, one would expect a sports bar, but it's a mid-priced Italian restaurant. I usually get the spicy shrimp and chicken pasta, but it is very spicy and a huge portion that I can't finish. If you aren't interested in spicy, the lemon chicken soup is warming and delicious. Normally this Restaraunt in pretty good but today was a disappointment. Are they under new management?? I watched our server scoop the ice from the storage bin with the cup and not the scoop. Being a former health inspector...that is gross. Waiting to be hit with E-coli. I should have walked right then. The bread squares are easily 50% smaller...maybe lunch due to lunchtime meal? Anyway, hubby's salad was suppose to be dry but came with dressing. His 1/2 sandwich was a disappointing JOKE. It was a literally a hoagie roll cut in half, completely dry, with a piece of lettuce and tomato and a folded piece of ham. Really? My 1yo grandson could have made that. It was supposed to be a panini. My chicken francese should have had angel hair and had fettuccini. The portion was large but the flavor wasn't consistent and it had less "saucy-goodness" than before. Our server was kind and brought an extra bag for my salad container so it wouldn't spill onto our to-go tiramisu so that was nice. I am willing to try them again but will be ordering the lasagna from now on (because I had it last week) and will not dine-in. read more

Worst serious I've ever had. We ordered food and wine and water. We asked the waiter for a refill of water as our food got there. We waited patiently and NEVER got it the whole meal. Or more wine. Bella Roma has never failed to deliver great service and food. It's one of the few places in Rome I choose to frequent just because of that fact. I will also contend that their pizza is better than any pie you can find on Broad ST. I would love to give this place 5 stars because the food is great, drinks are great, and they're reasonably priced, but... they're patio section needs some work. I'd simply suggest umbrellas on the tables or some sort of awning. Dining alfresco is a bit tricky with the sun in your eyes. (Very easy fixes though.) Bella Roma is a great place to grab a quick bite to eat, enjoy a cocktail and zip home without the nuisance of extreme crowds. read more

I had the Tour of Italy, my husband had a meat pizza and our son had a meat Stromboli. Service was great!! And our bill was only $42.00!!! A lot of food for a great price. I got to go here with a large group of people. I didnt know if not having the AC on in the middle of summer was a Rome GA thing or just a Bella Roma thing. Turns out it was just a Bella Roma thing. My goodness this place was hot, sweaty, and overall a difficult place in which to eat. If the AC is on, it will be a splendid time eating there. I split a large pizza with my buddy and we had plenty left over. The sauce was magnificent. Overall the drink prices and quality of service and food saved this place from getting a bad review. Went here on a Friday night. Walked in and waited a bit before anyone had noticed we needed to be seated. Many of the tables were available but hadn't been cleaned yet. Love that they serve bread with garlic and olive oil. We ordered the lobster ravioli and pesto pasta. The ravioli was a hearty portion. The sauce was good but at the end, I was left with half a plate of sun-dried tomatoes. No complaints about the pesto pasta. Took a giant slice of German chocolate cake home for dessert. Came here on our way to Winshape retreat. We had the Greek salad and pizza with two drinks the total bill was $16.00. The pizza was good and the salad was freshly made. I don't think it was canned , the pizza sause because I did not get heartburn. Our waiter was fat friendly and knew the menue. He checked on us but did not overly do it. Large, clean restaurant with some really good food. Excellent staff caters to your every need as you feast on ample portions. Desserts are out of this world! I appreciate the outdoor dining in summer, as we often come here straight out of the local river after tubing or kayaking. Good parking lot and easy access onto the loop make this a win win... Our first visit to Bella Roma this evening. Dh had a burger that was cooked to order. Awesome burger. I will go back for burgers. I had eggplant parmigiana. I was very disappointed as I expected a much better serving for the price. For $8.99 you would think they would give more than one small eggplant slice with a huge side of spaghetti with tomato sauce. I ordered eggplant parmigiana, not spaghetti with a side of eggplant.....
