My wife said let's have pizza tonight, I went to get the mail and there was a Pappy's Pizza mailer. We haven't lived here long and only have tried one other pizzeria here. So we looked over the ad and made our choice, called in the order.A very friendly person took the order and help me with the the extras and 17 minutes later I was picking up dinner. Well when I walked in I was greeted warmly and genuinely. And as I was being rung up we have a friendly chat about the place and their pizza. I paid cash saving 3.5% credit card fee, and also received a veterans discount. The pizza was great, tasty crust with crispy edges. So much topping on the Nanny's meat lovers pizza. The sauce was perfect and we got a side order of the red sauce for dipping. Overall a wonderful experience and a great meal. I love to shop local when the owner takes care of you and has skin in the game . BTW bonus, the pizza was delicious cold for breakfast the next morning. read more

Pizza was OK.....NY Style ...I don't think so....I got a 16 inch supreme pizza and a philly cheese steak stromboli and it was almost $50 bucks......I was charged a service fee of 1.99....don't know what that was for....this was a pick up order.....won't be back..... read more

I was excited to try NY style pizza in Adairsville, GA. What was I thinking? I was very disappointed with the bland taste of the pizza. It's like they went out of their way to not season anything in the pizza, including the sauce. The service was slow. Neither of the two waitresses on duty acknowledged me when I entered the restaurant. Given they were busy, it takes no energy to at least acknowledge a patron as they enter. I waited about ten minutes before I was welcomed and my order was taken immediately. It was 45 minutes before my pizza arrived. I was extremely patient thinking I was going to experience a product that was tasty. Did I expect it to be exactly like real NY pizza? Heck no, I'm a realist. But never in my wildest dreams expect something so tasteless. The reasons that saved this establishment from receiving one star? The cheesecake was phenomenal and the place had the ambiance of Cheers without the warm greeting. If the food were better, I'd give them another try. Since I can get a decent product at a much lower price, I'll go to Papa John's when I want pizza. read more

Found this gem by chance and we're definitely not disappointed. We've been here a few times now, each time the food was great and the people friendly and welcoming. First time, we got the cheesy bread appetizer and it was so cheesy, the three of could have stopped there. Pizza is outstanding. This last time I had a Dave's Calzone and it was excellent. Pizza is excellent. True NY style. Crust is thin and delicious. The Italian Hero may be one of the best Italians I've had around and I would put it up there with Fred's Meat and Bread Italian.
