Their interpretation of Philadelphia steak and cheese sub.
Micckey R.

They do not know how to make a Philly cheese steak sandwich! You don't put marinara sauce on a Philly cheesesteak sandwich. I'm not sure what they were thinking. It's listed as a pizza place. Prices are a little high. Service was OK. I think they're trying too hard to be an upscale Italian restaurant. They're not achieving it. I've read some of the reviews. Not very impressive. Oh well.

Hidden in the strip mall at the corner of RM 1869 and Hwy 29 this is a secret gem. Order the salad and ask for the Nick's dressing, if you like garlic. It's garlic, basil olive oil and some lemon juice. Very tasty on the salad with diced lettuce, tomato and mozzarella cheese. Yumm! We bought had the chicken piccata and it was perfect. Chicken was succulent and the sauce was full of capers with great flavor. Highly recommend this place for dinner.

Manicotti

Cutest restaurant with plenty of seating without feeling you are right up against the next table. Extremely friendly and efficient staff. Easy to understand menu with plenty of choices for even the pickiest eaters. And the food was phenomenal! I had the chicken parm with a side of spaghetti. Hubby had the manicotti and we both agreed that it was full of flavor and delicious. And the garlic knots that they so graciously start you with are to die for! Our server was so very kind. We will definitely be back!

Chicken Alfredo Pizza

Hubby and I tried this place on New Year's Eve, as we wanted pizza the last day of 2024. I saw it had decent reviews and decided to try it. I can honestly say it did not disappoint us. We got the Meat Lovers and Chicken Alfredo pizzas. Hubby liked the Meat Lovers and I LOVED the Chicken Alfredo! We wanted leftovers to take home so we got the 16" for each. New Years day we heated them up and they were still great the second time around. The service was good and needless to say we will be back. I want to try a pasta dish next time. The garlic knots we had were so soft and hot, I could've had them for my meal with the marinara sauce. The place was still decorated for Christmas, which did not bother me, but I think the normal decor could use a refresher. The staff was wonderful, I definitely do recommend it!

Good music, parking lot is shared. Ordered garlic & oil for the garlic knots. Best decision I've ever made. I ordered shrimp scampi, hubby got the pasta sampler, and daughter got kids fettuccine Alfredo. Each entree comes with chicken soup or salad. My god the chicken soup is amazing. Like Nona will fix it for you when you're heartbroken, sick, looking too skinny, or haven't seen her in a while. My shrimp scampi was acidic enough for me, shrimp tasted fresh. Hubby ate every bite of his pasta sampler. Said 110% we will come back.

What can I say other than the flavors are fantastic! They were slammed and they were working their butts off so the service was a little slow but we didn't mind at all. We wanted to try a couple things so we split the lasagna and ordered the Bella Sera pizza. Everything was delish, nice crisp on the crust of the pizza and the toppings were so fresh and aromatic. The lasagna layers were so flavorful! You do get garlic bread knots when you are seated and they were so soft, warm and buttery. They had a combination of booths, small tables and larger tables that could accommodate larger groups. They have 2 large TV's on each side of the room. Italian music and decor go well with their Italian accents. We will definitely be repeat customers.

Cesar salad with salmon and fresh garlic bread.

The food is always fresh and delicious and the owner is the kindest, I love that it is a family owned business. The chef always visits the table to talk to guests and make sure that the food is good. Great restaurant for family gatherings and special occasions! I always order the Cesar salad with salmon, which is cooked to perfection! The fresh garlic bread is heaven, baked fresh every day! I come every week, loyal customer!

Love the garlic knots! Pizza is very good, but the pasta dishes are the best. Salads are fresh. Service is great.

She was attentive and helpful and refilled my drink regularly. The dirty plates were cleared without me even noticing, so she was good at being non disruptive. The pasta definitely tastes homemade and is so good! I wasn't super hungry so I split a meal with my friend and they had no problem bringing us two plates. Good homemade bread too. It was just iceberg lettuce with croutons and dressing in the side. The build your own pasta dishes were fantastic! The service was not great however, and this wasn't a unique experience as we've been here before and experienced poor service. Our waitress started out attentive but after our appetizers came, she didn't come back for about 15-20 mins to take our order. Our main dishes took about 30 minutes to come out. Once they did we never saw our waitress afterwards. We waited about 30-45 more mins and then we finally went to go find her to ask for to go boxes and the check. All in all we were there for about two hours, but not for good reason. I think this place has great potential, they just need to better train their staff to be more attentive.

The pasta and chicken were both very tasty. It came with garlic bread, which I think only had garlic on half of it. The meatball sub was gigantic. Varied menu we went with the Meat pizza, they did not have Coke Zero and the only coke they had was in the Bottle with pure sugar. So a little overload. Food was great and the service was wonderful, nice atmosphere to this place. The only issue came when I went to pay the bill they could not get a manager to come to the register to okay the lunch, seems like they did not know how to handle this transaction. Made the experience not as good as it had started. The waitress said she would take care of it and for us not to wait around. They also have Gelato at the store and they have wonderful pastries which we picked up the following week for our son's birthday. Pastries were excellent and reminded me of bakeries in the Bronx.

A long time ago, I dined at their trunk on the East Side. Recently, we had a random weekday off and decided to have a little fun. By the time we drove home, we were hungry and realized we had nothing in the house, so we stopped in for a very late lunch. I try to avoid gluten whenever possible, and since I wasn't in the mood for a salad, they offered to make me a meatball dish, which was perfect. My husband ordered a pizza. The service was friendly, and the food was okay. However, since I don't eat gluten, my taste preferences may differ from others. If you enjoy gluten, this place is likely a good fit for you. It's worth noting that parking can be a bit tricky on busy nights. The restaurant has a huge patio and backyard space, and I'm glad to see it thriving in this location after many years of turnover. Price wise I think it is a bit high but isn't everything these days. Their service is five stars.

It's slightly pricier than other takeout pizza options but I think the pricing is reasonable for the unique options and quality of ingredients! CHICKEN TIKKA MASALA PIZZA (9/10) - This was everything I hoped it would be! The tikka sauce was delicious, the chicken was cooked well, the veggies on top were crispy and fresh, and it was garnished with fresh cilantro. The crust is a standard hand tossed crust and had the perfect balance of a crisp exterior and soft interior. You get to choose your spice level... I went with medium and would go up a spice level next time. They say the large feeds 3-4 people but my husband and I split it between the two of us. I'd order this again! This was my first time ordering from Pizza Twist and I'll definitely order more in the future! I LOVE the fusion options they offer, the pizza came out super fresh, and it was a quick turnaround after ordering. I'd recommend Pizza Twist for others in the Round Rock area looking for takeout pizza!
