Before the appointment even started, I made it very clear that I did not want my eyebrows reshaped. I specifically asked for them to only be cleaned up, and the technician assured me she would only touch the bottom of my brows. Despite that conversation, she significantly changed the shape by removing hair from the front of my brows and shortening the tails. My brows looked noticeably thinner and shorter than I requested, and there was no way to fix them before my wedding. On top of that, the brow tint was so light that you could barely tell they had been laminated. My lash lift also wasn't cleaned up properly--I left with adhesive or product still stuck to my lashes. I was hesitant to call and complain, but given that this was for my wedding weekend, I felt I had no choice. Unfortunately, the customer service was just as disappointing. The staff was rude on the phone, and although I was told I would receive a refund, it never happened. I rarely leave negative reviews, but I hope sharing my experience helps others make an informed decision, especially if they're booking services for an important event.

Helen, Nina and Thania do my nails, and they are both fantastic. They pay so much attention to detail, never rush, and always make sure everything looks perfect. My nails always turn out beautiful and last for weeks. One of the things I love most is that they offer so much more than nails. I've also had massages there, and they're wonderful. They also do hair coloring and styling, so it's easy to take care of everything in one place. What really keeps me coming back is the people. She was very opinionated and argued with me when I requested no polish on my nails. She also worked too quickly and carelessly and nicked me a couple of times. She cut deeply into the cuticle on one nail in particular. I am hoping it will not get infected. I usually go to Touch of Elegance, in Menlo Park, (which, by the way, charges less and where the owners are constantly checking in on their staff and customers) but decided just to walk in to Le Salon Dore. La Jolie has become like family. My daughter has been coming here since she was just five years old, and now at 20, it's still one of the first places she wants to visit whenever she's home from college. Thuy is located in the back right of hair international and is such a lovely person. Great conversationalist and makes the time fly by as you watch her work her magic on your nails. I got a powder dip and I appreciated that she really took her time to do my nails when I feel like a lot of people rush these days. I don't get my nails done extremely often but I'd make the trip out to Palo Alto just to come back to Thuy. Thanks for my beautiful nails!
