I have been going to Hannah for about 5 years now. It's a small, hole in the wall, type of salon but they're quick and can get quite busy at times. I know that there are a lot of negative reviews about this place but I've honestly always had such a good experience here. I usually have Hannah or Tom do my nails since they already know how I like my nail shaped and the length. They are always asking me every step of the way if I like my nails or if they need to change it. I really appreciate that because it allows me to let them know if I don't like something. I haven't been here in a while so I thought I would update my review. I really have no idea why their reviews have not been good lately. The people here are all very friendly and attentive. Hanna, the owner, makes sure that all of the workers do a good job and that you like it before you leave. What more could you want? It is a great price, especially for the area. Could they work on some things? Sure. Most definently DO NOT go with the owner of the salon like other reviews have said. I called in and asked how much for a full set and if I could book with "Feen" ( I saw a review with a beautiful set done by "Feen"). She said $35. So I made an appointment and was suppose to see "Feen". I wait a bit and the owner approaches asks what am I getting done and I showed her a "natural picture" She says oh yes "feen" does do that only I do. (Weird... the review says "feen" did these acrylic nails.) Anyway.. fine do not judge a book by its cover.... then she starts... semi fast... puts on the acrylic... OVER MY CUTICLE.... ok.. maybe I wait.. she is not done yet... NOPE... in 2 of my nails the acrylic is not covering the entire nail. The picture I showed her was natural and somehow I end up with ombre nails (mind you I never get them long so ombre doesn't look good on me). Fine sure... then... comes dril less than 2 minutes she was done. Starts with the filing down. Apparently she loved my index finger so much she constantly continues to file the side of my nail. once twice and three times i kind of flinch so she gets the point. nothing on her end just rushing thru. Continues to welcome clients in and answer phone calls and continues to file jus that one. Finally I said please no more filing on that ONE. She then proceeds to cut my cuticle. Of course when you speak up they do not like it. She cuts maybe 2 fingers and pretends to cut more on the other ones. Done in 30 seconds. Still the acrylic is on top of my cuticle (maybe thats why she did not cut my cuticle.. SHE COULDN'T ACCESS IT). At this point, the acryclic looks like square of gum. I asked her if she could flatten out the acrylic and shape out my nails and I point to the acrylic on my cuticle. She gets more annoyed rushing trying to finish. She gives me this 'reason' why she cannot. At that point... Fine.. continue.. she goes to put the final coat and to the 2 fingers that the acrylic did not cover my entire nail, she puts the clear coat all the way to the end of my nail so it covers the mess she has created and she continues to do that to the other ones that have the acryclic over my cuticle. Based on my review.... I think I have warned you enough. So... after she puts the top coat... she keeps saying ombre looks nice. yes. nice. okay your done. I go to wash my hands.. NOT happy at all but whatever... she comes behind me to grab something and says "see they look nice" .... yes sure they do..... I go to pay and my total is $55. !! How did that happen?? They have a giant board next to the entrance and I look at it trying to understand how I went from $35 to $55 even if we had all the add ons.. it still doesn't add up. I think she added a tip for herself because she took my card and did not even ask if I wanted to leave a tip. (at other places when I pay, they always ask.) Done ranting..... in short... EITHER DO NOT LET THE OWNER LADY TAKE CARE OF YOU OR DO NOT COME HERE PERIOD AND SPEAK UP IF SHE FORCES YOUR HAND TO SEE HER. JUST SAY NO. Oh I forgot to mention, while I was almost done getting gum looking acrylic nails, 3 ladies were talking spanish about their nails and actually said they do not like getting their nails done by the one wearing black (meaning my lady) because she rushes like crazy and they look horrible. I gave this place too many chances to get it right, but the lady (i think she might be the owner) didn't seem to care about feedback. I went on multiple occasions and this was my experiences: -they dont thoroughly clean under your nail and just cover it up with nail polish. When i asked them to please clean it better, they got annoyed with me so i stopped getting manicures. -In august, i went for a pedi and eyebrow wax and it left a light burn on both of my eyelids the next day so I couldnt apply eyeshadow during my trip to vegas. -In september, i went the day before my birthday and I told the lady (i think she might be the owner) to be careful this time because of the eyebrow burn last time. She seemed annoyed about it and didnt even apologize. I came in for a pedicure, eyebrow and lip wax. I told her about my ingrown nail pain on the OUTSIDE PART of my big toes..i even pointed it out..i did not have a problem with the inner part. This was my first time asking to take out my ingrown nails, ive done it at other places so i know its painful..but she was being SO ROUGH, i kept asking her to be careful but it seemed like she was doing it on purpose..she quickly pulled a chunk out to the point where she made the inner part of my toe bleed so much (i did not have a problem with this part of my toe but now i had a wound there because of her), it wouldnt stop bleeding through my whole pedicure and she kept ignoring me when i asked for an ointment to prevent infection! I FELT SO VIOLATED! I was so mad and in pain, i've always been nice to them but she really made me feel like she doesnt care. She only apologized at the end of my pedicure when i said i do not want my eyebrow and lip wax anymore. I was really thinking of making a scene, walking out, and not paying after my pedicure but I believe in Karma. SHAME ON YOU GUYS, YOU DONT CARE FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. i've been a nice and understanding customer and i even drive all the way from sunnyvale...i am never coming back! read more

Very efficient and quick, and she has a technique to make it less painful. It's hard to find a good waxer, and I just moved to the area so I'm happy to have found one :) 4 stars because I went home with lots of wax still stuck and patches of hair that were missed. This is actually the first time I write a review here and unfortunately it has to be for the terrible treatment one of their nail technicians provides. After reading reviews here I have realized that I am not the first customer to experience what I did. So a few years ago I had gone in to get my nails removed. One of the nail techs asked if i wanted a new set. I said no. I guess she didn't like that so she sat me down and started ripping the acrylic nails with a metal piece! It hurt so bad. I paid because she still provided me with the service but I never went back. The reason I went was because I didn't want to remove them off myself because they hurt. There is a proper way and less painful way that nail salons remove nails but obviously she didn't do that. So it was a waste of money. I month ago my sister went and had the same experience! And my mother went yesterday and did the same on her gel manicure! Why didn't she use acetone? I cannot believe that she is still there and damaging people's nails. This place is honestly the worst because of her. My mother's nails are still burning from the pain so I will be going personally to complain since its not the first time. I am WARNING everyone. The place is small, but fits quite a good amount of people. It was honestly really hard for me to understand what they were saying, and I think that created confusion about what I wanted. I went in for a clear acrylic set w gel and french style. The lady who attended me was Sarah. She was pretty nice at first, but she kept getting wrong the size of nails that I wanted. Finally her boss (Hannah, I think) got it right and told her, but she then cut my nails pretty roughly after that like she was over it. What bothered me the most is that she really hurt the sides of my nails when filing them, she wasn't very careful. However, I really like how my nails turned out after all. I usually come here when my bf is working to do a mai and peddi. The prices are not bad its usually like 23 for acryillic with french tip and 22 for the pedi. During the week day around 2-4 there's not much people here. Do take note that there are no air conditioning here therefore when it's hot, it can get hot in there. The pedi is great. I love the foot tub with the bubbles and the minty feeling green scub they put on the feet and leg. I absolutely love the speed and efficiency of this place. Make sure you take a close look as, sometimes the shaping can be off or uneven. The best person to work on your nails is the owner. She's efficient and fast.
